Description:One of the most beautiful valley heads of the Eastern Alps is the backdrop to Brand, the 670-year-old Walser village at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level and at the foot of the Brand Glacier massif. Tourism started as early as the end of the nineteenth century with the ascent of Mt. Schesaplana, the highest mountain in the region. Nowadays, families, holidaymakers seeking relaxation, sports enthusiasts and, since 1997, also small and big companies alike enjoy the wonderful infrastructure of this charming summer and winter resort. This is where the first, and so far, the most “rent a village by Xnet” events have taken place. CHECK IN Right in the middle of a meadow or a skiing area you will find a snow igloo housing the village reception area and your company logo displayed in the white snow on the slopes. Alternatively, the village reception can be installed in the riding hall, the old sawmill or the community centre, and your event can be launched there. Your guests are allocated their accommodations by drawing lots in the “key tombola”, receive further information and welcome presents. We deliver your guests’ luggage to their accommodations and provide them with food and drink. Participants arriving by plane or train will be met at the airport / train station, where transport will be waiting to take them to Brand. KICK-OFF The mayor – together with the village brass band – will welcome you and your guests at an official ceremony, in which many local inhabitants will also participate, and you will be symbolically presented with the key to the village. This is an ideal opportunity for you to officially welcome your participants and brief them on the following days’ activities: the perfect start to any event if it is going to be a success! Depending on programme objectives this can be followed by either a sports activity, an excursion to the surrounding area with its magnificent landscape or a first meeting (see Activities). CONFERENCE Brand offers various seminar rooms in hotels, the community centre, the old sawmill, the riding hall and the tennis hall for your conference. These can all be equipped with the latest infrastructure, and we are able to create a unique atmosphere for your event. All venues are within a short walking distance of each other. Alternatively, you can hold your conference out in the open, right in the centre of the skiing area with its unrivalled scenery. Fresh mountain air during the coffee breaks or an outdoor activity are highly motivating. Depending on the other items on your programme, which is customized to fit your needs, you might like to choose a sports or a team-building activity to complement your conference. ACTIVITIES A skiing area on your doorstep, the golf course in the garden, tennis, horse-riding and outdoor adventures – this sports arena in Vorarlberg’s south offers the ideal setting for implementing your event ideas, both in winter and in summer. On Snow Fun Day participants meet in the skiing area to go golfing in the snow, to race against each other on traditional wooden sledges or on the ski slopes, or to complete an obstacle course, which includes archery, wearing trekking snowshoes and using old-fashioned sports equipment. You can choose from a large selection of programmes covering creative art events, culinary events or sports activities that are customized to fit your participants’ needs. FINALE As an alternative to specially designed and equipped halls and premises in the village the evening programme can be organized under the motto “Fire & Ice Open Air” – a party out in the open or in a marquee right in the centre of the village that offers theme-related buffets as well as a snow stage featuring artistic performances that involve your participants. Each performance is streamed onto an ice wall. The event is wrapped up with a fireworks display at the summit. Participants can then go on to the after-hours party in the Havanna Lounge and Cocktail Bar and celebrate until the small hours of the morning. CHECK-OUT On the sunny hotel terrace of Hotel Scesaplana your participants are offered a sumptuous buffet. Description:Entering the gite from the courtyard you will find a lounge with a large patio window facing the courtyard and the morning sun. Plenty of comfortable seating around for everybody for an evening in with a boardgame or just to sit and chat. Off the lounge there is a modern and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, hotplates, micro, kettle, coffee percolator etc. The kitchen offers lots of storage and plenty of worksurface. There is also a kitchen table. Double doors opening into the large dining hall (9m x 4.5m) where there is a long dining table - plenty large enough to seat 12 people or more indoors. From the kitchen and the dining hall, french doors open to the private garden with sunken paved terrace and also a covered terrace with outdoor dining under a candle chandelier. Bbq is provided. Also on the ground floor a luxurious walk-in shower room and sauna utility room with washing machine, toilet and wash basin. Climing the oak staircase to the first floor of the self catering gite you will find a large, rear facing (West) double bedroom with chesnut floor and high ceiling with original oak beams. At the front is second double bedroom leading to a third bedroom which is a favourite with children of all ages, where one wall is replaced by sliding safety glass doors from floor level (with appropriate security railing on the outside). The room receives the morning sun and whoever sleeps there will be softly woken by the first rays. The fourth bedroom is of the same specification but has two single beds instead of a double. Description:The Location Dekhanovka, a small ancient Siberian village is located right on the border between steppe and taiga, 10 km away from a bigger settlement, Beya, main town in the area. Dekhanovka has a small shop and several rest houses nearby. After walking 500 m you find yourself in real taiga. Not far there is also a pond and taiga river with fish. Other places of interest include: salt lake with healing waters, located in a picturesque steppe - 30 km Sayany Mountains with famous mountain skiing place, Gladenkaya (operates through mid-May) - 90 km One of the biggest hydroelectric station in the world, Sayano-Shushenskaya, built on the wildest Siberian river, Enisey - 150 km Within reach (150 km) there are multiple archaeological sites related to ancient Khakas culture, including several open-air museums. All roads have asphalt. Whole area is covered with mobile network. The capital of Khakas Republic, Abakan city (170 000 inhabitants) is 110 km away. It has big airport with regular flights to Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, etc. The weather in summer is very warm (up to 30 degrees C) and sunny. The Homestead (“Dacha”) Apart from the house the homestead has a nice fruit garden with apples, pears, plum, raspberry, blackcurrant, gooseberry, viburnum, bird-cherry. The whole plot is 1/3 hectare. From May till September there is a little clear creek from taiga flowing across it, filling a small artificial pond. Part of the plot has a high fence creating an intimate atmosphere for you and your companions. One third of the plot is made by a meadow with flourishing flowers and healing herbs. There is also a place for sports activities: volleyball, mini-football or badminton. There are 2 barbeque spots – one near the house and another one by the creek, under the trees. The House Ancient wooden house standing in the shadow of pine trees consists of a living room and kitchen, 50 sq. m in total. Interior is recently renovated. Has one king bed and a single bed, it is also possible t put in 1 big inflatable mattress. Heating by old traditional furnace. WC is outside. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, electric kettle and stove. Activities It is possible to arrange bicycle or horse-riding trips. There are a lot of toys and books for kids, also there is a sand box outside. There are materials for paining: paper for aquarelle, brushes, pencils. There is also a small collection of scientific and documentary literature from the Soviet period, as well as fiction. If necessary the TV-set can also be provided. Impressions This is a tranquil place where you easily lose track of time. Rest among wild nature almost untouched by civilization. When spending time near the house you can stumble upon a little neighbor – the chipmunk living in the lands of the homestead. From village locals you can buy ecologic, completely natural products – vegetables, honey, milk and meat. By end of the summer you can pick ripe fruit and berries right from the trees in our garden. In the garden we put a swing and a hammock between trees. During summer and autumn season you can engage yourself in picking wild berries (strawberry, raspberry, black and red currant, blueberry and bird cherry), pine nuts and healing herbs, or swim in salt lakes, go on a Nordic walking, horse-riding or bicycle tour. In winter you can admire crystal-clear snow covering taiga and go sleighing. Come and take a breath of crystal-clear air and admire beauty and variety of Siberian nature. This place has a great regenerating power. Having spent there just a couple of hours you already feel well-rested. (Locals say that sometimes they see UFOs near their village… Maybe you will be lucky too!) The house can be rented all year round. Preferred guests are families with children – your kids will particularly enjoy being surrounded by nature. It is a perfect spot for a secluded vacation. A return transfer from Abakan is free. We are less than a kilometre from safe and sandy beaches and the area is noted for its wide choice of quality restaurants, at reasonable prices. n nThe historic university town of Stellenbosch is about a 30 minute drive away, passing along the R44, which passes through the region of the Helderberg Wine Route with many of the Cape 's leading wine estates, Paarl and the Durbanville Hills, with their own unique wine routes, are about 45 minutes away, the Franschhoek Valley, known as the Gourmet Centre of South Africa with its many fine dining restaurants, is 60 minutes as is the start of Cape Province Atlantic coast, Hermanus is also about a 60 minute drive away and is noted for whale watching between July and November, as well as its fine wine estates. n nThere are five championship golf courses within a 30 minute drive (sorry about the pun!)of Highcliffe House. n nThe are a number of stables in the area that provide horse riding options and the Blue Rock Cable Water Ski and Scuba Diving facility is just 5 minutes away.
