The home is about five miles from the Northstar-at-Tahoe and just minutes away to Tahoe City and Truckee. Hiking and biking trails are just a short walk from the front door. Three large and nicely appointed bedrooms and three and one-half bathrooms make this home ideal for a large family or a group of up to thirteen guests. n nThe master bedroom has a king size bed and a large private bathroom. Description:Looking for something quite different? Buscarro is an exceptional property in a fabulous location just outside Denia town. It has a lovely secluded setting, being surrounded by orange groves, yet is very close to the area's best sandy beaches, bars and excellent restaurants. The extensive private tropical gardens and unusually-designed boomerang-shaped pool create an environment found in few other rental properties. Within the grounds there are various open and shady terraces for daytime lounging, rooftop terrace for evening cocktails, table tennis, lawns, orange/lemon grove, colourful bougainvillea, almond/pomegranate/olive/fig and other fruit trees, and many palm trees of different types. Cacti and other succulents abound. The views across to the mountains are spectacular. Most visitors find it hard to tear themselves away whilst staying here! The accommodation consists of a substantial 3-bed country-style villa (El Buscarro), with a separate studio apartment above, and across the pool a 2-bed stone cottage (the Casita) which is roomy and full of character. Each of the three is self-contained. There are 4 outside dining areas in total (1 rooftop, 1 poolside, 2 terraces with awnings). Teenagers love the separate studio. The entire property can accommodate 2 or 3 families holidaying together, a family with grandparents joining them, or a large group looking for something unusual to accommodate everyone. Perhaps a special occasion or function? Take a look at some of our guest comments later.....people have had some special holidays at Buscarro. It provides great flexibility in an exotic environment that is rarely available for such group combinations. **Buscarro books out very early for peak weeks.....book now for Summer 2014** Further details indoors: El Buscarro and the Casita both offer self-contained facilities on one level. Each has lounge with beamed ceiling (with sofas/TV/DVD/CD/MP3 port), large kitchen and dining areas indoor and outdoor (incl. awnings). El Buscarro's kitchen and bathrooms are brand new. The studio has a small kitchenette. Spacious Spanish character has been retained throughout, with stone features, traditional wooden doors and beams. Winter lets can have log fires in the main house. High chair and cots are arranged by advanced request. We include games/books for guests' use. There are 2 double bedrooms and one twin bedroom in El Buscarro, double bed in the studio and in the Casita a double and a twin. 12 is the maximum number of adults accommodated, but there is room for an extra child in one of the bedrooms. There are bedside units in all bedrooms and the Casita and studio have both air con and bedroom fans. El Buscarro has been designed for cool throughout even the warmest times and in addition has bedroom fans. All windows have insect screening. In all 4 main bathrooms there are stand-alone fitted showers and baths in two of them. El Buscarro's master bedroom has a uniquely designed walk-in 'dressing area' and follow-through en suite. The Casita bathroom also has en-suite access from the master bedroom. Linen & towels are provided for all guests. Further details outdoors: There are various terraces outside the properties and around the pool, providing both sunny and shady outdoor dining, relaxation areas and sunbathing. We request smoking outside. There is a poolside shower and a large freestanding traditional Spanish BBQ complete with stone/marble table and chairs offering poolside dining close to the BBQ . In the 'pool room' there are pool/beach toys and garden games, and outside there are many sunbeds/cushions/garden chairs and parasols all for our guests' use. Please bring towels for outside use by the pool and on the beach. Our extensive tropical gardens and unique pool provide a setting that is very special for a rental property. Children love exploring the grounds, finding dens and hiding places. The grounds are watered 3/4 times a week by sprinklers and water pipes to keep them lush in the Spanish sunshine. At different times of the year you may be able to pick fresh from the trees: almonds, figs, olives, pomegranates, clementines, and of course oranges and lemons for home-made orangeade and lemonade. There is electric gate entry into the grounds and a shady parking area for a number of vehicles. Families with small children will find the property secure. The studio apartment has its own entrance and is located above the main house. Off the casita is a courtyard filled with bourgainvillea and other colourful succulents. From here there are spiral stairs to the rooftop terrace and wonderful views. Our quality outdoor table tennis table is for our guests' use. In the evening there is attractive lighting to the pool and across the grounds. Guest Manual: We provide a comprehensive manual at the villa covering everything you need to know for your stay at Buscarro. We've devoted a section to getting out-and-about in the area, and another covers many of the local restaurants and bars, to help our guests during their stay. There are literally hundreds of restaurants in and around Denia, ranging from very exclusive ones, to excellent good-value establishments, to traditional tapas bars, to those suitable for families. As well as the harbour area bars and beach bars, Denia has a number of up-market, late night bars for groups and couples both in town and in the new marina. Description:Originally part of the farmhouse, Millstones is ideally suited to family get-togethers, or several families holidaying together. The enormous kitchen is ideal for catering for a large group. Ground floor - large, well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with oil-fired Rayburn, electric range cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier. Stable door to courtyard. The beamed sitting room has a log fire, colour Freeview Digital TV, DVD, VCR and portable stereo. There is an original flag-stoned snooker room with 3/4 size table and second TV. The ground floor double bedroom has an electric heated floor and an en-suite shower room. A narrow conservatory leads to the shared garden. First floor - bathroom with bath, toilet, and basin. Four bedrooms - Bedroom Two with a four-poster double bed with en-suite bath, toilet, wash basin and portable TV. Bedroom Three is a family room with one double and one single bed, Bedroom Four with a twin bed and Bedroom Five having a twin bed and steep, narrow steps leading to an attic Bedroom Six with further twin beds. Heating - oil-fired rayburn, partial central heating, some Night Storage Heating (NSH), some panel heaters. Open log fire in the lounge. We have some excellent amenities here at Northway Devon Holiday Cottages. The indoor swimming pool, 30 foot by 15 foot is a great hit with everyone. It is warm and light with wonderful views over Bideford Bay. There are spacious changing facilities, toilets and showers and seats for non swimmers. Please note the pool is not supervised and all children must be accompanied by a swimming adult. We also have, alongside the pool a Hot Tub spa which seats up to four people. A wonderful way to relax after those country/coastal walks. The pool and spa are open daily from 9.00 until 7.30. There is a fitness room containing a running machine, exercise bike and rowing machine. This is open 24 hours, every day to anyone over sixteen years. The Games Room is a large purpose built room housing all you need to entertain yourselves and the children on holiday. Table tennis ( bats and balls provided ), table football ( 50p) and a pool table ( 50p), provide plenty of opportunity for some family tournaments. There is a small play area reserved for toddlers and there is free access to the Internet via WiFi. We also have an extensive range of popular board games, videos and books you can borrow. Not forgetting the amenities nature provides us with. Northway has well tended extensive grounds which you can enjoy where there is room to just sit and relax or have a kick about or game of boules. And then on our very doorstep we have beautiful walks, short or long, where you can enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife. Being designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty there is every chance you will see flowers or birds you have not seen before or certainly not for a long time. Give yourself a treat whilst on holiday, escape the stress of today's lifestyle by enjoying a treatment from our visiting complementary therapist. Marina is qualified in a wide range of treatments, aromatherapy, reflexology, remedial massage etc and will treat you in the privacy of your own cottage, helping you to really feel the benefit of a relaxing holiday. For the Children Everything we see and hear tells us that children love it here. The cottages are roomy giving them space to play. We have an extensive well used library of board games, videos and books for all ages. In the games room there is an area designated to toddlers with a selection of toys and for the older ones, table tennis, table football and pool. We also have a safe surfaced outdoor play area with swings, slide and climbing frame. However the real winners are the fantastic pool (not attended, all children must be accompanied) and the animals. We have a dog, two cats, 2 ponies, 5 goats, 3 rabbits and hens. Bob feeds them in the morning and anyone who wants to can join in. Locally we have 2 all weather farm based theme parks, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way. Atlantis at the nearby Atlantic Village Outlet Park is also very popular. Further afield is The Wildlife and Dinosaur Park at Combe Martin and any number of fabulous beaches good for sandcastles and surfing.
