I would like to know how many people are going to stay and your check in & out time, So I could manage my own schedule to welcome you. I have removed photo of the bathtub in the bathroom as its not working at the moment but i still have two shower rooms and two toilets for you to use. My apartment is located on the first floor of the building with no elevator. Please bring your own indoor slippers to use inside the apartment, thank you ! A highly stylish 145 m2 Loft style Parisian apartment well located in Paris just 5 mins from Gare Du Nord Paris ( Eurostar, Thalys, ICE ) and 50 mins from both airport (Orly, CDG ) Also very easy to get to Parc des expositions for people to come to paris for the trade show. Two mins walk from the nearest metro station on line 5. It takes 15 mins to central Paris (Chatelet, Hotel de ville, marais, notre dame ) 30 mins to Eiffel Tower. In the neighborhood there is a beautiful parc des buttes chaumont within 5 mins by walking. Renovated from an ancient atelier (workshop) with glass ceiling on the roof top and an open plan kitchen and living room (40 square meters )where you can cook and eat. Also a patio with roof allows you to rest and get more fresh air ! There are 3 bedrooms and one big sofa for one person so totally it could host up to 7 person, superb for family trips and maintain quality living while staying in Paris. For those with children, the popular London Zoo is within Regents Park. For shopping aficionados, Oxford Street is just a 10 minute walk away. ABOUT TRAVELLING HERE : To / From Paddington tube station : We're 2 stops away on the Circle / Hammersmith lines. You don't need to get off to change lines, very handy if you have large luggages. ABOUT THE APARTMENT : This is a very large, comfortable 1-bedroom apartment with a king sized bed, living room, bathroom with power shower and kitchen. The bedroom suits 2 adults very comfortably. If you are travelling with a larger party, I will provide 2 single air-beds (inflatable mattress) to accommodate 2 more adults. Extra duvets, pillows and towels will be provided. In the bedroom you also have a 32 flat screen cable TV and coffee tables to put your books or feet up on. There's also a very large living room with a big 4-seater sofa. Please note it is not a bed, but I've had guests sleep here very comfortably (they in fact prefer this to a single bed). In the living room, there's a 32 flat screen cable TV, a coffee table and dresser. I will also provide another 2 single air-beds (inflatable mattress) to accommodate 2 more adults in the living room. Description:I believe that everyone who visits the Nations Capital should have an affordable, secure, comfortable, extremely large, beautiful place to stay. It brings me great joy to make this wonderful condo unit available for your staying pleasure. I also believe you should have a private place to say, your own place for a period of time, while you are traveling - just like your home. I really appreciate all of the guests who have stayed with us this past year and they really appreciate the hospitality, the large basement condo suite and how close it is to the attractions. If you want your own place at an affordable price than read on.. This is a very large (1400 SQ feet) beautiful remodeled basement condo that has two bedrooms, each with a full sized bed, one bath, a private living room area, washer/dryer, an eat-in kitchen area, cable TV, and wireless Internet. Wow! It's has two private entrance ways (one in the rear and the other is on the side) so you can come and go as you please - just like your home.. Includes all utilities. Sleeps six people with one person sleeping on the couch and the other sleeping on the sofa bed (in a private living room), the other four would sleep in the two bed rooms. The condo suite is close to the Brookland/CU Metro on the Red line which is the best public transportation system I've seen in a while comparable to other large cities. Now, our Metro system is not perfect by any means, but it is the best of what I've seen based on some other transit systems in large cities in the US and abroad. When using the Metro bus and train it's best to travel during rush hour. Why? Because mass transit systems work more efficiently when you are moving a mass or large number of people. There are more buses and subway trains running more frequently. It does not work as effectively for the individuals during the day. So travel times to the City center can vary greatly based on when you are traveling. The key is that the Metro system has schedules that can be used to minimize your wait time. The suite is about 1.2 miles to the Brookland/CU metro station, 3 miles to Capitol Hill and 4.5 miles to the White House. Off street parking is available if you are driving. Just bring your tooth brush and your ability to have fun in Washington, DC - Of course all the towels and linens will be provided. Special Offers: If I make you a special offer it will only be available for 48 hours. This will ensure on those very rare occasions that over booking does not happen. We have updated to the best sleep system available - memory foam toppers and pillows. We recognize that sleep is one of the most important part of your stay so we have taken special attention in this area to make sure that your stay during the night is extremely comfortable and restful. If you don't sleep well at night then it's going to be hard to function and have fun during the day. Why do we constantly continue to make these small improvements? We want you to sleep so conformable that when you leave your review - it's gonna be all about how well you slept. As one biker guest from the state of Georgia said in his southern drawl at checkout, You are lucky that I don't have my pickup truck here because I would back it up to the door and take that bed and mattress back to Georgia with me. I'm going to have to get a new bed when I get back home. We are working harder for you so we are now offering an airport pickup and grocery paid services. Some guest would like to just show up and have the refrigerator stocked with the food, that they like to cook and eat. If you don't have a car and you don't want to use public transportation to get your groceries, just let us know and we will do the shopping for you. Or, we don't mind taking you to the grocery store or to Radio Shack (to pickup that international plug for your laptop that you left in back in Europe) if you need to go. So here are some of the things that we have done based on your wonderful suggestions: We have added an electric frying pan so you can cook, in addition to the existing Microwave, George Foreman Grill, egg / omelet grill, toaster oven, and coffee maker. We have also added a HP LaserJet 4 Printer so you can print out your airline boarding pass. We really love the reliable HP LaserJet 4, you will too. The only thing that I can not fix is that for some reason AT&T cellular phone service is really spotty in the basement. There have been several guest who all have AT&T cell phone service and their calls go to voice mail. Interestingly, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon work very well. For the young and the young at heart, we have added throwback board games such as Monopoly, Trouble, Battle Ship and a Chess board / pieces. We really like young at hearts. We have installed a garbage disposal, more towel racks in the bathroom and a silent toilet bowel lid - so when your family member or friend closes the lid in the bathroom it won't disturb you or the other guests outside of the bathroom. So a hardy Thank You to all the guests who have graced us with your wonderful presence and made super fantastic suggestions. Being number one in one category is great but it is not good enough. We want guest who are traveling either singularly or as couples to be able to enjoy this wonderful suite. Okay, so here is the deal: If you are a single traveler and you want to say in only only one bedroom then send me an email and let's talk about the price. If the basement condo is free then why not talk about it and see what we can work out. We're also a hop, skip and jump from the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar for you movie buffs. The house is a 1950s bungalow with gorgeous wood floors, freshly painted and restored. Description:Quarryknowes is an ideal base to explore Edinburgh & the Scottish Borders. It is a traditional Scottish house (1840s) with lots of character, overlooking the Gala Water valley. Set on the edge of the village of Stow, 25 miles south of Edinburgh, and surrounded by open countryside. There is a south-facing garden with lawn to the front. To the rear is a private and sheltered terrace with barbecue area and outdoor fire place, and sloping wooded garden giving direct access to the fields and hills beyond. On the ground floor : Large country kitchen with dining area, window seating, large range-type cooker, TV. Two double bedrooms, both overlooking the river and valley Large family bathroom with separate shower enclosure. The village of Stow : has a population of about 400. There is a post office / general store, a cafe / gallery, village hall, a medical centre, an all-weather sports ground with tennis court, and a large public park with children's play areas. Edinburgh : there is an excellent bus service every 30 minutes from just outside the house, directly into the centre of Edinburgh (St Andrew’s Square). The bus takes an hour. By car the journey is about 45 minutes. You might want to consider driving to the ‘Park and Ride’ at Sheriffhall, about 30 minutes away, where you can park your car for free and take a bus into the centre from there. Buses every few minutes. Around Stow : there are many lovely walks around the village, you can walk as you please over the hills – the only requirement is that you close all gates, are mindful of livestock and take your litter home. One example, from the old road on the other side of the valley opposite the house you can walk up the hill to the skyline and follow the old drove road running northwards up the valley – lovely views over the rolling Border hills in all directions. Nearby : are the historic Border towns of Melrose, Peebles, Innerleithen, Kelso, Lauder, Jedburgh, Selkirk and Galashiels where you can find museums, a range of pubs, restaurants, hotels and interesting shopping in the traditional town centres. Visits can be made to the ancient abbeys of Melrose, Kelso and Jedburgh, to the castles at Thirlestane, Neidpath, Floors, Roxburgh, Hermitage or to the country houses at Mellerstain, Traquhair and Abbotsford (Walter Scott's house). There are many marked walks, of varing difficulty, through the countryside and forests. The excellent mountain biking facilities at Glentress are 30 minutes away by car. Some suggestions for visits in the Borders : Melrose - this little town is very pretty with interesting shops and places to eat, an old abbey and behind it are the three peaks of the Eildon Hills which have lovely views from the top and are not too difficult a climb. Kelso - a busy Borders town sitting on the river Tweed, within another ancient Abbey, good shops, hotels, coffee shops etc. Floors Castle is nearby. Traquair House - just outside Innerleithen, dates back to 1107, and is steeped in Scottish history. You can walk from room to room, the ancient furnishings and décor give the impression that it’s as it was hundreds of years ago. It does not feel like a museum. The grounds are beautiful too. Glentress Forest - between Innerleithen and Peebles, forest walks and marked mountain biking routes of varying difficulty, bikes can be rented, and there's a nice café. A great energetic day out. St Abb’s Head - on the coast north of Berwick-on-Tweed, walks along the cliffs, lots of seabirds, Fast Castle, an interesting little harbour. Golf: There are 21 courses set in the beautiful Border countryside. Lauder golf course is 5 miles and Galashiels 8 miles from the house. Description:An elegant, traditional stone built 3- bedroom house in the 15th Century mountain village of Fosciandora with balcony, walled garden, beautiful views and many restored features. Fosciandora (495m asl) is a very pretty village with incredible views. Summer here is peppered with many festivals such as the pilgrimage to the shrine of the Stella of Migliano and the Festival of the emigrant-tourist. The village has its own children's playground and there are many listed walking trails through the beautiful countryside and woodland. Just 15 minutes walk away (just over 1km), the village of Migliano has a chemist, café, small general store and post office. 3.5km away is Fosciandora train station which is on the main Lucca/Pisa to Aulla line. Also here is a highly recommended restaurant called Il Ponte di Ceserana, that also has a small general store. Fociandora lies 7 km from Castelnuovo, 12km from Barga, 27km from Bagni di Lucca, 49km from Lucca and less than 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Pisa airport (67km). The coast (Forte dei Marmi) and excellent ski resort of Abetone are both about 1 hour's drive away (in opposite directions!). The house sits peacefully on the village road which winds its way up the mountain through the village of Migliano, then Fosciadora and finaly Lupinaia. Its thick stone walls mean that it retains heat in winter and is pleasantly cool in summer. There are three floors linked by a central staircase with a window on each landing,allowing plenty of light and fresh air in. Central heating is provided via warm air vents though small kersine heaters are povided which are more ecoomical and quickly heat the house. Parking is available close to the house (there is space for loading and unloading just outside the door). The bus to Castelnuovo, well known for its bustling Thursday morning market, stops just outside the front door. An original solid wood door opens onto a hallway, with terracotta floor tiles. There are two cantine (wine cellars) with windows. Terracotta steps lead up to the first floor. The elegant informal living/tv room has a tiled floor and dual aspect windows (solid wood frames and shutters) letting in plenty of light and creating a lovely atmosphere. It has a very attractive open fireplace and beautiful archway. A door leads to the formal living/dining room with tiled floor and village views from two windows. The kitchen is well laid-out and has a tiled floor, oven, fridge and freezer. It has a washing machine. Wet washing can be hung to dry on the clothes-line on the terrace, one floor above. There is a small bathroom with mosaic tiled bath with shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. Wooden stairs lead to the second floor where there are 3 good-sized bedrooms and shower room with basin, toilet and bidet. The master bedroom is very large. It has lovely wide wooden floorboards and three windows with views towards the village and mountains beyond. The second bedroom has a window and wooden French doors and shutters which open onto a lovely covered “loggia” (terrace) with wrought iron railing. There is door joining this room to the master bedroom. The third bedroom is very pretty with wide wooden floorboards, marble window sill and views over the hills. The lovely peaceful walled garden is entered via a wooden door just across a small village path. It has a closed changing area, shower with cold running water, 4 electric points, a stone sink (plumbed for hot water) and an outside bread oven. Part of the garden near the changing room and shower is tiled. The rest is down to grass and various plants including, a pear tree, apple tree, olives and kiwi trees that form a pergola to provide shade for al fresco dining.
