Description:This 3 bedroom holiday flat is situated opposite the main beach and offers beautiful sea views. Close to amenities.Jeffreys Bay (Afrikaans: Jeffreysbaai, also known as J-bay) is a town located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The town is situated just off the N2 Highway, about an hour 's drive southwest of Port Elizabeth. nJeffery’s Bay is known for their family friendly beaches with awesome surfing waves. International surfers flock to catch the legendary waves in this, a paradise of sunshine, aloes, dolphins, shells, perfect points & classic reefs. Surfers & others who found it hard to leave such an idyllic spot have turned Jeffreys Bay into a year round fun place to be, creating a thriving local craft industry besides the surf shops on just about every corner. A wide variety of shops reflect the diversity of local talents. A good selection of coffee shops, fast food take aways & restaurants cater for every culinary taste, from black tie to barefoot on the beach. nJeffreys Bay is named after the senior partner of the firm Jeffrey & Glendinnings that opened a store in 1849 on the location where the town is today. Jeffrey is believed to be the first person to have settled there. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Jeffreys Bay was known as a hippie hangout, where the now-burgeoning surf community originated. Jeffreys Bay has grown from a sleepy little fishing town over the past few years and is one of the fastest expanding urban areas in the country. nJeffreys Bay is one of the five most famous surfing destinations in the world and hosts the annual Billabong Pro ASP World Tour surfing event at Supertubes during July. Spectators and surfers from all over the world flock to this event, which can be viewed live over the internet and various television channels. nThe Jeffreys Bay Surf Break nA very long, fast, tubing right hand point break breaks along the west side of the bay. The break is regarded as one of the best right hand point breaks in the entire world, in both consistency and quality, in season. It has been divided up into several sections, including, from the top of the point, Kitchen Windows, Magna tubes, Boneyards, Supertubes, Impossibles, Tubes, the Point, and Albatross. Supertubes, which itself breaks for about 300m or more, is regarded as the best part of the wave. On rare occasions (large wave sizes, wide-breaking waves, and even swells), Boneyards can link up all the way to the Point for a ride over one kilometer long. Optimal size is considered to be from about 4 to 10 feet (Hawaiian scale), or about 8 to 20 feet wave faces. The most consistent waves occur between about May to mid September, also often coinciding with offshore winds, although good waves can occasionally occur at other times of the year. nJeffrey 's Bay - Home to the perfect wave! With its unique combination of beautiful beaches, endless summers, abundant shells, white gold (calamari) and relaxed lifestyle, its no wonder this town has become world renown. Another International attraction is the Billabong Surfing Festival in July each year when surfers from all over the world come to enjoy these flawless formations of rolling surf. The safe beaches are perfect for bathing and all water sports, making it a popular weekend getaway and holiday destination. nTemperatures are moderate all year round along the coast with rain scattered throughout the year. The summers are warm with a very temperate humidity level. Winters are mild and pleasant, and it is significant that water sports are practised year-round.The Jeffrey 's Bay Shell Museum houses an impressive and beautiful collection of local shells gathered on the beaches of Jeffrey 's Bay, as well as shells from other countries. Visitors are welcome to collect shells which are varied and plentiful. There are a number of small nature reserves in the area, such as the Kabeljous Estuary and Nature Reserve, which is a walk-about reserve with a safe beach for swimming and excellent fishing opportunities as well as bird watching a small animals. The Noorsekloof Nature Reserve is a 28.7 hectare reserve stretching up to Wavecrest, small buck and many birds can be seen along the 3 km trail running alongside the stream. Then there is the Seekoei River Nature Reserve which is on the Seekoei River estuary. It is a bird watchers paradise, as the hide overlooks the Seekoei River where there is an abundance of water fowl. nThe initial discovery and promotion of the wave is curious. Another nearby right hand point wave at St. Francis Bay was first idolised and promoted in the cult classic surf movie The Endless Summer in the 1960s (although both Jeffreys Bay and St. Francis Bay were probably surfed much earlier). Surfers who travelled to the area soon stumbled upon the nearby Jeffreys Bay surf break, which was found to be not only a faster, more powerful, and hollower wave, but also much more consistent.[9] The surf is to die for rated top 5 in the world, it is definitely a destination for all surfers.... more info >>

Description:From the minute you walk through the double wooden doors it is like entering a private tropical haven. Turning into the stoned courtyard you are faced with a colourful garden complete with ornamental pond. (the pavilion at the rear of the property has been retained by the owner and will remain closed to guests). nAs you walk along the entrance courtyard there's a small seating area on the covered stone terrace that's perfect for reading or relaxing out of the sun. Turning right the terrace continues to a central garden area and the tropical atmosphere is enhanced. nLooking from the rear of the villa you can see the terrace split and run either side of garden, leading to two further pavilions. On the right side is the sleeping pavilion, housing one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. Each of these luxuriously appointed rooms has an en-suite bathroom complete with an indoor and an outdoor shower room. This pavilion is L-shaped with one side running parallel to the garden and the other turning off to the right. Inside the sala is a large massage bed and outdoor dining furniture. A portable gas bbq is also provided. Speakers are built into the sala to allow your choice of music to be played outside. nIn front of this is the lawned garden bordered with plants and a private gate leading onto the beach. nRunning from the garden right into this villa is the dark blue-tiled saltwater swimming pool. This long narrow pool creates a focal point which although completely outdoors, penetrates right into the heart of the living areas. At the end of the pool a decked area joins with the central garden which is planted with mature bamboo trees and has an antique looking statue that matches perfectly with the tropical atmosphere of this property. nWhat's most eye-catching is that everywhere you look you see tropical foliage, every window and doorway has colourful plants framing the view. And the overall effect is completed by ornate wall carvings, intricate stone work and the clever positioning of pots and ornaments. nThis design of this villa creates total seclusion in a natural and truly peaceful setting. nLocation nOn the northern coast of Koh Samui, 15 minutes drive from the airport, 5 minutes from the resort of Maenam and 15 minutes to the island's busiest resort, Chaweng. nVilla Rates n* The master suite in this villa is not accessible at anytime by guests n* Daily rates for an optional full time Thai Chef is US$100 subject to 10% service charge and applicable of 7% tax per day (food cost on Guests account) n* You can also order from the villas extensive menu (at menu rates) and have a chef create this for you, at the villa or in the estates kitchen n* Minimum stay of 3 nights (10 nights over Christmas and New Year, 5 nights for Chinese New Year, Easter and Songkran) n* Rates shown are for a maximum of 6 (six) Guests (including children) depending on villa.
