Depending on the prevailing current this can be dived in either direction. A gradually sloping reef which either begins or ends with 'Flatrock' the pinnacle of a large collection of rocks that protrudes from the water. This is a great area to search for frogfish which are commonly seen here e28093 just remember to look for two as they normally come in pairs! nCathedral nmax. 79ft/24m. This site can be dived either way by intermediate divers depending on the prevailing currents. A steeply sloping reef startingc2a0 at 5m/15ft and descending down to the sandy sea floor at 24m/79ft. Spiny lobster are abundant under the healthy coral heads and spotted drum fish flit about the boulders. Baracuda stalk the reef edge where scorpionfish camoflage themselves, lying in wait for their next meal. Nimble spray crabs, juvenile trunk fish and juvenile drumfish shelter behind the sea urchins for protection. Schools of southern sennet, chromis and jacks frequent this reef as well as the occasional stingray and turtle. nMoonhole Cave (max 28m/92ft) Divers descend into 9m/30ft of blue water with a wall on one side and rolling reef meeting the sand at 15m/50ft. Schools of blue creole wrasse, yellowtail snapper and brown chromis circle around solitary silvery cero. Whip corals and sea fans flutter in the current as divers slowly drift along. Turtles, octopus and morays can be seen on this dive as well as scrawled cowfish and filefish. The reef steeply inclines to 28m/92ft with larger boulders and formations in the shallower area covered in colourful sponges. At 8m/25ft a wide cavern appears and divers can check these out for nurse sharks. Large porcupinefish, great barracuda, spotted drum fish and spiny lobster hang out on this beautiful site too. nThree Wrecks (max 27m/89ft) Starting at the west cardinal mooring, advanced divers descend onto the stunning Devil's Table reef in 5m/15ft of water. Working your way slowly deeper an ATM can be seen on the rocky sea bed at 20m/66ft. The first wreck, Viviana, lies at 27m/89ft where green morays, french angelfish and batwing coral crabs lurk. The current can be fairly strong here. Following the turtle grass shallower the second yacht can be found at 15m/50ft, but keep your eyes open for eagle rays and turtles on the way. The dive ends at the Strattman tug with the mooring at 5m/15ft on top of the wreck.... more info >>

It is 3 km from the long sandy beach of Alcamo Marina, a half hour from Zingaro natural reserve and from Scopello. The apartment is located in a typical Sicilian countryside and is within a large fenced area full of olive trees that come up in contact with the house. There are many different fruit trees, also. The house consists of a kitchen, bathroom, single bedroom, one double and, also, one large room with separate entrance, which can be used as a double bedroom or as living room. Outside is a large open space in the covered porches or trees to stay immersed in nature. There is an outbuilding with kitchen on the veranda, wood oven, barbecue and shower. Guided excursions on donkeys along rural paths to reach the medieval castle of Calatubo. In 10 minutes you arrive to a Carrefour supermarket, to a big bar and to the entrance of the motorway. In less than an hour to get to Palermo, Trapani (cheap Ryanair flights from all over Europe) and Mazara del Vallo. In 15 minutes you reach Castellammare del Golfo and Alcamo Balestrate. The house is a traditional Thassian building renewed from its fountains according to the traditional local architecture with wood and famous Kavala stone for the roof and has a front yard with a beautiful vineyard. The climate is very good not very hot (do not need air-conditionning) with no moisture, so few hours sleep will be sufficient for your resting and relaxation. There are no or few mosquitoes unlike areas by the sea after dusk. It is located on the mountain but it is only 2km away from the sea shore of Golden beach (Agia Paraskevi-Chrissi Ammoudia), since Thassos is an Island with both mountain and beautiful sea shores, as well as full of plantation with beautiful smells and delicious traditional food, ancienties and friendly people. You can walk the village around and have a tour of the island dy bus. Thassos is ideal for suimming, fishing, water sports, nature trecking, yachting, scuba diving.It only takes 1 hour to travel by car around the entire island and it is 15-30 minutes away from Keramoti port and 30mins-1 hour from Kavala port, also accessible during winter months since its position does not allow for it to be influenced by bad weather and sea conditions.... more info >>

We are less than a kilometre from safe and sandy beaches and the area is noted for its wide choice of quality restaurants, at reasonable prices. n nThe historic university town of Stellenbosch is about a 30 minute drive away, passing along the R44, which passes through the region of the Helderberg Wine Route with many of the Cape 's leading wine estates, Paarl and the Durbanville Hills, with their own unique wine routes, are about 45 minutes away, the Franschhoek Valley, known as the Gourmet Centre of South Africa with its many fine dining restaurants, is 60 minutes as is the start of Cape Province Atlantic coast, Hermanus is also about a 60 minute drive away and is noted for whale watching between July and November, as well as its fine wine estates. n nThere are five championship golf courses within a 30 minute drive (sorry about the pun!)of Highcliffe House. n nThe are a number of stables in the area that provide horse riding options and the Blue Rock Cable Water Ski and Scuba Diving facility is just 5 minutes away. The climate is very good not very hot (do not need air-conditionning) with no moisture, so few hours sleep will be sufficient for your resting and relaxation. There are no or few mosquitoes unlike areas by the sea after dusk. It is located on the mountain but it is only 2km away from the sea shore of Golden beach (Agia Paraskevi-Chrissi Ammoudia), since Thassos is an Island with both mountain and beautiful sea shores, as well as full of plantation with beautiful smells and delicious traditional food, ancienties and friendly people. You can walk the village around and have a tour of the island dy bus.
