Built in the 1970s, the area was used as staff housing and stood empty until 2004. Then, we re-arranged the rooms and renovated and refurbished the windows, heating and bathrooms. Description:Cottage Profile Quaint two bedroom, 864 square foot cottage is located on a dead end road, 350 feet away from a rightaway to beautiful Colpoy 's Bay and 2.5 km away from a lovely public beach at Colpoy 's Village. The cottage is in a very private setting, nestled in a hardwood forest. It is within steps of the Bruce Trail as well as some great walking, skiing and snowmobiling trails. The paved road is also perfect for a leisurely bike ride or after dinner stroll. The kitchen, living and dining rooms are all located in one large, open-concept room. The living room is tastefully decorated and finished with hardwood flooring. It has a comfortable couch, two chair 's, television, DVD/VCR Combo, Radio/Tape Deck/CD Player. You will also find a wood stove to take the chill off those cool evenings. The dining table sits adjacent to the living area and looks out over the large front yard. The kitchen is bright and airy, and is finished in cedar cupboards and laminate flooring. There is a fridge, stove, microwave, and oven. One bedroom is located just off the living area.It has a set of bunk beds with a double on the bottom and a single on top. The other bedroom is located off a short hallway from the entrance and has a Queen size bed. Both bedrooms have a large window letting in the natural light from the forest behind the cottage. Both bedrooms also have plenty of closet space. The short hallway off of the entrance also connects to a four piece bathroom and a utility room with a washer, dryer, and washsink. On the road side of the cottage is a nice sized deck with some muskoka chairs for reading and relaxing. There is also a BBQ, patio table with umbrella, and 4 chairs which are perfect for outside dinners. The deck overlooks the grassy front yard, which is a good spot for the kids to run around and play. This cottage is not waterfront, however it is only 350 feet away from a rightaway to the lake. It is also 2.5 km away from a public sand beach and boat launch. Also you are only a 20 minute drive to Sauble Beach with its 7 km of sand beach. The Town of Wiarton is home to Wiarton Willie the famous groundhog who predicts the weather.
