In the apartments there are two separate double bedrooms, a large living area with kitchen corner, bathroom with buth tub and separate shower box, two balconies, parking space inside the property. The house is surrounded by a lawn with fruit trees and olive growes. The house is in a residential area and the neighbouhood is quiet and friendly. Public transport is not very frequent so a private car is needed to get around. Our apartments are suitable for families or group of friends. At only a few minutes walk down hill, there is the small harbour for the boat trips to Montisola, the largest lake island in Europe. Furthermore, at a short drive, there is the Vallecamonica with the prehistorical stone carvings protected by UNESCO. Bergamo, Milan, Venice, Verona and Garda lake can eachl be visited in a day trip. Description:This large, exclusive comfort apartment is located in the center of the north coast, in Sedini - near Castelsardo - few minutes drive from the sea. THE CITY Sedini - the Village in the Rocks - is a very quiet and peaceful village with about 1500 inhabitants , it lies on a plateau about 300 m above sea level and has in summer pleasant feel-good temperatures. The village lies off the beaten track, yet it lacks nothing in a perfect infrastructure. Shops, a pizzeria and Ristorante d'asporto are located in close proximity. Likewise for the medical assistance is provided and you can feel absolutely safe. The venue is now since the spring of 2011 on a brand new, spacious, paved road directly connected to the coast at La Mudizza or La Ciaccia and so well connected to the beaches of the North Coast (Caution: not mapped or digitized for GPS !). The Castelsardo medieval, the many beautiful beaches and bays of the north coast and the hot springs of Casteldoria so within a few kilometers. Sedini is also an ideal starting point for excursions into the rural Sardinia with its beautiful lakes, mountains and unspoilt nature. Not far from Sedini are the major centers of Sassari, Tempio Pausania and Alghero (the old Catalan port city) and the famous Costa Smeralda. YOUR LIVING COMFORT • The Apartment The apartment has a very generous amount of space: a living room with living area, a spacious kitchen with large table, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a total of well over 120 sq.m. of living space. These two large, separate patio areas come with a sign outside. But the house wine and fruit garden provides space and invites you to linger. The residence is also ideal for couples or families with children. The rooms were tastefully decorated, but without recourse to conscious kitsch. Who likes to cook and wants to cater for themselves, will have with the new, modern Scavolini kitchen much joy. The guests can look like in our own herb garden at the main Mediterranean herbs and spices (basil, parsley, chives, hot peppers, etc.) operate. All rooms have been renovated with selected biological materials and equipped with mud walls. These provide a very constant humidity of 50 to 60 percent and thus ensure an extremely pleasant climate and a wonderful, restful sleep. There is also a futon sofa available in the lounge. Please note: One of the double rooms is upstairs and is reachable by an outside staircase by the dining terrace. This bedroom has it's own bathroom, enjoys a beautiful view and lots of lush sun in the mornings. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you might need and more, very cooking friendly :) The lounge is equipped with UK and Spanish TV, a DVD player, a Playstation 2, and speakers you can connect to your laptop, phone or the satellite radio available. There is internet access, (wifi) available throughout the villa and the garden! We would encourage you to bring along a laptop or phone that you can connect to the wifi. It would help with local info you might want, as well as the standard web browsing, emails, free international calls, streaming, etc. There is a dining area between the lounge and the garden. The dining table comfortably seats 6 people, (there is also a breakfast terrace by the kitchen with a table that seats 4). Beside the dining area there is an outside sitting area with a bbq, wooden decking and a beautiful pergola that protects you from the direct summer sun, (when it might be too hot around midday). The pergola covered area is ideal for laid-back eating, barbecuing and generally just taking it easy in the outdoors, during the day or at night. The garden sits just off the pergola covered area. It gets lots of sun and enjoys plenty of local bird-life. Ideal for children to play in and obviously enjoying the sun and the outdoors. There is a second covered patio on the side of the villa, with a ping-pong table and darts available. The AREA: San Pedro Beach is 200 metres away and enjoys the usual beach style restaurants, beach bars and sun beds. A few spots worth mentioning are... Borabora (200 metres): Up-market beach club with a restaurant, bar, swimming-pool, sunbeds, and water sports hire. El Ancla (350 metres): Restaurant with a huge swimming pool overlooking the sea, serving some great food. Daily swimming pool pass €10, (probably the best option for a big swimming-pool near the villa). Chiringuito Guayaba, (200 metres): Laid back beach bar and restaurant, offering the usual drinks, great tapas and locally caught sea-food. Prices are more affordable here. (Recommended!) Also has sun beds. Please note this chiringuito is only open between June and September. San Pedro Promenade is about 200 metres away. Enjoyable in a number of ways: for families with young children, or anyone that wants a leisurely stroll / or fancies a bit of sport. Along its leafy straight you can find a variety of restaurants, children's play areas and, if in the mood for a bit of exercise, there are some newly installed exercise machines, (mechanical) placed there for public use. Good for jogging, cycling *, skating, dog walking, or a leisurely stroll while the sun sets. * Bicycle hire is available from a shop in San Pedro. (I'll put the prices up on here soon). 200 metres away there is a wood which gives the area a much appreciated green feel to it. Where the wood meets the beach is where the local fishermen moor their small fishing boats, about 250 metres walk from the villa. There are also some Roman remains within the wood. San Pedro town centre is a 15 minute walk along a public garden footpath which goes past a large water fountain and a large children's play area. San Pedro is useful for all things you might expect from a village: shops, small supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, churches, terrace cafes, pedestrian streets, Spanish style squares and a street market, (on Thursdays). The area is centrally located on the coast. Everything you might need is within 5 or 10 minutes drive from the villa: Two major shopping centres, over 15 golf clubs, sport centres, Puerto Banus for it's restaurants and nightlife, cinema and casino, and Marbella for its little streets in the old part of town. Also within 5 or 10 minutes drive, there are over 20 different beaches you can visit. All slightly different in their own way... some bussier or sportier, some quieter and more laid-back, all with different types of beach bars and restaurants, (and prices!) For guidance on these we can provide you with a little map on arrival. The airport is 35 minutes drive to the East, picturesque in-land town RONDA is 35 minutes drive North, Gibraltar and kite-surfing capital TARIFA are about 45 minutes drive to the West, (Tarifa's definitely a good day out if the weather suits. All surfing gear, etc available for hire around Tarifa). If staying for one or two weeks in the early Spring or late Autumn months you might be able to catch the first or last few days of snow in SIERRA NEVADA, 2 hours to the North-East, near Granada. A great day out if you enjoy your skiing or snowboarding! Although you end up tired after the day is over, definitely a worthwhile day-trip. Locals do it all the time if there's snow up there. (All the gear you need is available for hire up in Sierra Nevada). The WEATHER: AVERAGE DAYS of RAIN/ month for the Marbella Area, taken from a weather website.
