Just past the bedrooms to the right will find the high ceilings leading to the kitchen and living areas. The kitchen is outfitted with new granite counters and tile floors, and is spacious enough for several cooks at a time. Just off the kitchen is the large dining area which includes a table for ten and access to the kitchen via the granite counter top. The dining room opens directly into the living room, which contains a cozy wood burning fireplace, plenty of seating for the family, and a large flat screen LCD TV. Venturing upstairs you will enter a functional loft containing extra seating for game time or family story night, as well as a pull out couch. As you exit the loft to the right you will enter the enormous master bedroom which includes a comfy king bed, plenty of windows, and two twin pull out chairs. The approximate 1000ft elevation offer a comfortable 5-10 deg cooler retreat after a day at the beach. Area Info Kona is known for its year round sunny weather daily temperatures ranging from 81 to 86 degrees. World class beaches and dining. Attractions such as swimming with dolphins, body glove snorkel tours, volcano helicopter tours, submarine and glass bottom boat tours are only a few to mention. You will see thatched huts, canoes, idols, and a temple that has the bones of several Hawaiian chiefs. Set on a peaceful white sand beach. Two Step, nicknamed such because of the land formation underwater, is right in this area, about a hundred yards north of the City of Refuge. It's another fantastic place for either snorkeling or diving. Hapuna Beach is 30 minutes away but probably as close to a perfect beach as you'll find in the state with fine, golden white sand maybe half a mile long and a couple hundred feet wide. It's a fine place for building sand castles and boogie boarding. There's seldom much of an undertow. It has a small snack bar, and showers. Conde Nast Traveler magazine has declared this the best beach in the nation. The beach is about a half an hour's drive north of Kailua-Kona near the 69 mile marker off Highway 19. With abundant marine and wildlife, Kona remains unspoiled and has much diversity to explore. Located 90 miles from Seattle between Cle Elum and Ellensburg, the cabin is located on four private acres only 20 minutes from the summit of Blewett Pass and 40 minutes from Snoqualmie. Its two bedrooms and two baths can very comfortably accommodate five (and there is room for two additional guests on an air mattress). The master bedroom, situated in the loft, allows views of the sunrise and sunset and the stars at night. You haven’t seen a night sky like this -- get a closer look at the stars with our high-powered telescope. The cabin features a gourmet kitchen stocked with essential cooking supplies, dishes, cutlery and All Clad cookware, centered around a generous kitchen island. You will not find a TV here, but there's plenty of entertainment. On calm nights, enjoy the backyard fire pit. A cozy reading nook offers a collection of books and views down the valley. Or simply look out the windows for abundant wildlife (wild turkeys, deer, elk -- there's even been a bobcat sighting!) and drink in the view from the couch. Stocked with games and a whole house music system, the cabin offers hours of entertainment unto itself. For the more adventurous, there’s nearby hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding and fly fishing. Use guidebooks at the cabin to plan your hike into the Wenatchee National Forest or The Enchantments Wilderness Area – we have recommendations for easy walks through the forest and challenging treks to the tops of ridges and mountains. With access just six miles from the cabin, the Blue Ribbon Yakima River holds rainbow and cutthroat trout for the flyfisher. We can recommend talented local guides to row you down the river and help you find fish. Our neighbors at Flying Horseshoe Ranch would love to show you the Teanaway on horseback and have mounts for every level of experience. The Yakima Valley appellation boasts dozens of wineries.
