We're on the second floor of a building just inside the gates of a family-oriented condo complex, with very convenient reserved parking, grassy courtyards, and all the amenities from swimming pools and tennis courts to a fitness center and even a lending library. Best of all is the private beach access, which leads you from the condo to the sugary sands in less than 5 minutes by flip flop! And when you're not actually on the beach (enjoying the spectacular sunrise, collecting shark's teeth, frolicking in the surf, or sunbathing at the water's edge), you are reminded of it every time you step onto our balcony at Ocean Village Club M22. There you can smell the sea breeze as you gaze over the greenery at the complex. Sit down with a cold drink and let your mind empty, or listen to your favorite music in the cool shade. Life is more than good here -- it's fantastic! From the balcony, slip into our bright living room area, with an ultra-comfortable recliner, nap-ready couch, and silent ceiling fan. A large TV with DVD player is stationed in one corner to entertain you, which is a great way to wind down after a busy day sightseeing or swimming. Your only dilemma is deciding whether to stay awake or sink into a blissful sleep! (Warning: if you recline the recliner, the decision will be made for you within 5 minutes!) Perhaps you want to turn off the electronics on this trip and rediscover old-fashioned entertainment instead. If so, our dining table, set with comfortably padded chairs, makes a great space to lay out the backgammon board or deal a hand of cards. Of course, if you're happy to stay connected, we've got free wireless Internet for you at the Ocean Village Club House, so bring along the laptop and update your Facebook status as often as you like! The kitchen is just beyond the dining area, connected to the rest of the living room space through an open fourth wall that gives the cook a lovely view of the palms and sky beyond the condo. You'll love this kitchen, even if you don't intend to serve anything more challenging than a drink with ice. Stainless-steel appliances, a full set of cookware, plus all the dishes and utensils you could wish for make this a great place. And the greatest place of all is the bedroom, which is designed with pure pampering in mind. You'll sleep like a baby every night on our deluxe queen-size bed in a cool-toned, restful room. His-and-her lamps let your partner stay up playing Sudoku while you slumber, and a comfortable reading chair encourages you to finish that beach novel you brought along. This room has lots of closet space, a big TV, and private access to the balcony via a sliding glass door. Bliss! The bathroom is conveniently right beside the bedroom, and includes the option for a tub bath or shower. Our washer and dryer are tucked in here for your convenience. Description:This two bedroom, one bath furnished cedar-frame cabin is nestled in a grove of old growth fir and cedar along the banks of Little Smith Creek. It is historic, rustic full of character yet comfortable and clean. It is the perfect balance of remote but civilized. There are many amenities, but expect to do without, too. Inside there is a small cowboy kitchen with cooking/baking utensils, dining ware, and dining table. Each bedroom has one full-size bed. There are two electric heaters and a wood stove (soon to be updated to propane). Maid service is extra. Don't be fooled by the low price. This is a nice, clean, relaxing place. Safety equipment is important and includes a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, emergency light and first aid kit. The cabin has books, movies and games for recreation. Nope, there’s no television or news. Your cell phone won’t bother you here, I promise. No internet either, but there are emergency messaging services usually available. Outdoors, there is a campfire or barbeque with a picnic table next to the creek. Enjoy a game of horseshoes. The Clearwater National Forest is adjacent with hiking, wildlife viewing, and hunting. A cool breeze blows down the creek almost every afternoon. The 1.1-million-acre Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness is close. The historic Lewis and Clark Trail is nearby. The local highway is a very nice drive or motorcycle ride. Fishing and rafting (class 1-5) are available on the Lochsa or Middlefork of the Clearwater Rivers. The Selway River (7 miles) and Selway Falls are also close by. It is not unusual to have whitetail deer, quail, rabbits, or turkeys in the yard. Elk, Moose, Bear, Wolves, Cougar, are all close-by. The rivers hold different species of Trout, Steelhead, Chinook salmon, and Whitefish. You might see Beaver or Otters. Bald Eagles, Osprey , and Canadian Geese fly over and nest here, too. see The cabin is in Game Unit 12, but unit 10A and 16 are accessible. Steelhead fishing is closed May and June. Spring/Summer Chinook Salmon seasons are to be announced, usually in April, May, & June. The closest public transportation is between Lewiston and Kooskia. US 12 is the main highway.
