Description:This bright and spacious loft-style penthouse apartment offers majestic views over the canopy of a small park giving the feeling of a truly idyllic retreat in the countryside but is in fact in the middle of the city - less than 20 minutes to Friedrichstrasse. The apartment is located in Alt-Tempelhof, close to Kreuzberg, the multicultural melting pot and currently the most interesting part of Berlin with its vivid art scene, English theater, bars and restaurants. The living room is very bright, has high ceilings and measures 70 square meters. It is divided into three separate areas: a large dining area with a beautiful wooden dining-table and an attractive sunny balcony, a generous sitting area with sofa and armchairs and in the front next to the kitchen a cozy fireplace with a wood-burning stove. A large skylight lets in even more light: a crackling fire in winter and above you twinkling stars - what more could you want? The open-plan kitchen has a breakfast bar, a very good stove, large fridge and a dishwasher. A large larder provides space for essentials such as a freezer, provisions, wood for the oven and other things. The apartment has two large separate bedrooms. which face east and, like the terrace, receive the morning sunshine. The master bedroom has a large king size bed and a desk. The second bedroom is currently arranged as a study with a second desk, but could be converted into a second bedroom. All rooms have central heating. On entering through the front door, you will find beautiful stone tiles in the hall and bathroom. The bathroom, which is also light and sunny, comes with a floor to ceiling shower and is equipped with a high quality new washing machine. Next to the bedroom is a large store room, which is suitable for clothes, shoes and other things like vacuum cleaner, etc. A cellar is also available for storage. Behind the house there is a courtyard with communal garden, lawn and children’s play area. The street is quiet, tree-lined and cobble-stoned and has a number of architecturally beautiful buildings. The park in front of the apartment is a small paradise with ponds, walkways and ancient trees. The former Tempelhof Airport, which is now a huge green area and the creative playground for many Berliners, can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. Here more and more people pursue recreational activities, have fun with urban gardening and come together for barbecues. The famous ‘Bergmannkiez’ (the fashionable area of Kreuzberg) is a mere 10-15 minutes trip by Underground on the U6 or by bicycle. The S-Bahn Südkreuz, which is also one of the main railways terminals, is three bus stops away. There is easy access to both Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenefeld airports. In the immediate location of the apartment you will find numerous shopping possibilities, from organic food stores to discounters a large department store is directly opposite of the park. The apartment offers the perfect location for people who want lots of space and who plan to stay in Berlin for approx. 6-12 months. Longer stays may also be arranged by individual agreement. And last but not least: the apartment comes with a built-in fitness facility. Being an older building there is no elevator and so you will need to climb four flights of stairs to enjoy all the above. But it is worth it. If you wish to view the apartment or you would like to book it straight away, please contact Anna Hope, or call her on 49-.... more info >>

Description:Imagine a place that was brilliantly designed and a real gem. Sounds pretty intriguing, right? Well, you 'll find that those are the exact words used to describe this vacation rental in France by previous guests who just loved it! Bordering the Dronne River, this self-catering accommodation near Chenaud has a peaceful and pleasant setting in the beautiful countryside. Incredible, stunning, and lovingly restored, this is just the place to spend the holidays in France! n n2.6 hectares (6.4 acres): The chateau was built in the 17th century, with the foundation dating back to 1090. In the 18th and 19th century the chateau was enlarged with 2 more parts. All sections are attached to each other with 3-foot thick walls. The different styles of the various constructions are visible, which lends an attractive rambling aspect to the building. For example, in the 17th century the cellar, now used for wine storage, was the kitchen. The original details are still visible. The property is accessed via a quiet little road that connects two small villages. The graveled courtyard leads to the house, barn and garden. The backyard overlooks the winding Dronne River where there is a dock (4m x 7m) where guests can sit and to enjoy the riverside and the canoes passing by. The large garden is completely private, the north, south and west sides consist of typical large French walls, the river Dronne is on the east side of the property. The south of the property has a splendid view of the 12th century Roman church of Chenaud. There is garden furniture in both sunny and shaded areas of the garden. There are huge 100-year old oak and line trees, as well as apple, peach, cherry, prune and chestnut trees. New plantain trees have been planted. At the far end of the garden is a little pond. nThe largest part of the chateau, an apartment named Silver Truffle, was built in the 18th century, and the second unit, La Floreale, dates back to the 17th century. Both sections are tastefully decorated with antique and exquisite fabrics, combined with pieces of modern European art. All bedrooms (except the two in La Floreale) still have the original fireplaces, but due to safety reasons they are not useable. The 19th century part is still under restoration and in use by the owners. Beside the main house is a large barn with two towers and an old well. La Vesunna is an apartment in the barn, which has been beautifully restored and decorated. n nSilver Truffle (275m2): nGround floor: One enters the entrance hall with floor tiles and wooden beams from the 17th century. From this hall one can access the living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom with a washing machine and dryer. The living area includes a large fireplace (wood is available for an extra cost), a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and comfortable seating close to the fireplace. The decor is a combination of antique and modern art. The bedroom has a king-size bed (or twin beds, depending upon the preference), 300-year old oak floors, built-in electronic safe, and a small wash basin. The bathroom, separate from the bedroom, has a WC, shower, sink, washing machine and dryer, and radiant floor heating. nFirst floor: From the hall there is access to the 300-year old staircase to the first floor. From the landing there is a wonderful view over the Dronne River. From here there are three spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom, with a safari theme, has a king-size bed, and an en suite bathroom with a WC, circle-shaped shower, sink and floor heating. This bedroom also has a built-in electronic safe. The second bedroom, decorated in red, has twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed upon request, and an en suite bathroom with WC, shower and sink. There is a built-in electronic safe. The third bedroom has twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed upon request, and an en suite bathroom with WC, shower, sink and radiant floor heating. The bedroom has a built-in electronic safe. There is central heating and each radiator can be individually adjusted. nLa Floreale (120m2): nGround floor: On the ground floor is the living area, including a living/dining room, kitchen an entrance hall and guest bathroom. From the entrance hall one can access the guest bathroom with a WC and sink, as well as the washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board (located in a closet). Also from the entrance one can access the living/dining room and the fully equipped kitchen. The living room is the oldest part of the chateau, dating back to 1626. The living/dining room decor is modern with antique elements and the room features a wood stove with the furniture surrounding the stove. From the kitchen you can access a large balcony where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun. There is a built-in electronic safe. nFirst floor: A staircase goes to the first floor, where there are two double bedrooms, each with king-size beds (or twin beds, depending upon the preference). There are two en suite bathrooms, each with a shower, sink and WC. There is central heating. nLa Vesunna (90m2): nGround floor: This accommodation is in the old barn. From the entrance one can access the guest bathroom with WC and sink and the laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. The living area includes an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen, with door which opens onto a beautiful south-facing terrace with a view of a 12th century church. The living room is tastefully decorated. There is a CD player and a built-in electronic safe. There is radiant floor heating in the living room. nFirst floor: There is a large bedroom with an electronically adjustable king-size bed and a bathroom with WC, bidet, sink and shower. There is radiant floor heating in the bathroom. n nLocated on the border of the Dordogne and Charente regions of Southern France, this charming chateau is located just outside of the medieval village of Chenaud (population of 340). The area is a quiet little valley on the west side of the Dordogne region. There is a bakery and butcher shop less than 5 km south in St. Aulaye, 5 km north there is a good grocery store in Chalais. nBordeaux: 69 km nAngouleme: 59 km nPerigueux: 50 km nRiberac: 19.2 km nAubeterre sur Dronne: 9.6 km nSt. Aulaye: 4.8 km nChalais: 4.8 km n nAvailable Amenities: nSilver Truffle: central gas heating, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender, mixer, roaster, CD player and stereo in the living room, Broadband and wireless internet connection, laptop computer available on request, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer in each bathroom, built-in safe in each bedroom. Description:If you love the sea, you could hardly do better than this apartment in a Sorrento villa. Great for a family getaway, this vacation villa apartment in Italy has three bedrooms, two baths, and a shared swimming pool right on the water. The panoramic terrace is great for dining together or just enjoying endless views. And let's not forget the location! This apartment on the Sorrento Peninsula offers trails throughout the countryside, proximity to Sorrento, and easy access to all of the amazing spots in the area: Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii, and Capri. n nThis villa is one of very few in the area with both private sea frontage and a seawater swimming pool. The villa is built on four levels, with the Attico apartment on Levels 3 and 4. Levels one, two, and four open onto ample terraces equipped with outdoor furniture, while level three opens onto balconies with uninterrupted views of Naples, including the island of Capri, Procida, and Ischia. Mount Vesuvius looms in the background. A separate garden area, shared between the units, hosts a pizza oven with a wood stove and barbecue-- where staff, on request, can arrange handmade pizza parties. The shared swimming pool (10m x 6m, 1.5-3.5m deep) is set in a terrace just above the sea, ideal for sunset cocktail parties, while the sea access is about 100 steps down from the main entrance. Please be aware that the pool terraces are directly above the sea and unfenced, which means that children (and drinking adults!) need supervision at all times. The villa is accessed via a remote-controlled gate on a private street descending from the main road. There is parking available. n nAttico (130 m2) nLevel 4: The entrance on the topmost floor leads into a 40 m2 living room with an open fireplace, two sofas, and two armchairs. A sliding glass door opens onto the terrace, and a large window on the left has a view of Capri. The 180 m2 terrace has 180-degree views from Mount Vesuvius to the island of Capri. It is furnished with two wooden tables and a number of deck chairs, partially shaded by a bamboo roof. This level also has a partially open-plan kitchen equipped with a cook-top, electric oven, Italian coffee maker, dishwasher, and toaster. Another sliding glass door opens onto a stone-paved side terrace shaded by pine trees. A back room is also available for extra food and drinks. nLevel 3: A wooden staircase leads down into a large, open-plan room that can be enclosed with a sliding wooden door. Here there are two twin beds with a wardrobe and chest of drawers. It also has a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The room is nice and cool and opens onto a small side terrace. From here, a few stairs lead down to a corridor where you will find the master bedroom, which includes a 160-cm queen-size bed, air conditioning, a heating unit, and a small balcony with sea views. There is also a bedroom with two single beds and air conditioning, opening onto the same balcony. Back in the corridor, there is a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and bathtub with fixed showerhead. n nThis villa is located about 1.5 km from the center of Massa Lubrense, a quaint town just a few kilometers outside of Sorrento, on one of the most beautiful coastlines of Italy. The area offers beautiful landscape with more than 100 km of trails throughout the countryside, along with some of the best cuisine in the country! It is only 3 miles away from the Island of Capri and within reach of all of the major towns of the Amalfi Coast. Going into the heart of Sorrento, you'll find yourself in a thriving seaside community, filled with life, good food, and great shopping. Sorrento is famous for two things you can't miss: Limoncello (an alcoholic aperitif) and inlaid wood. The workshops of Sorrento were the first to use the technique of arranging small pieces of wood into intricate patterns, a practice which has been refined and perfected through generations. Take the time to find and visit one of the workshops-- you won't regret it! There are also a couple of places you ought not to miss. The first is the 10th century Basilica di San Antonio. Saint Anthony is the patron of navigators, and sailors have made thousands of votive offerings at his tomb in the crypt. The 11th century Cathedral is also beautiful, housing some frescoes and a bell tower with a ceramic clock. The cloisters of Saint Francis are interesting because they have been restored many times over the centuries, resulting in an impressive display of architectural styles from late gothic to the renaissance. The Sorrento Summer of Music is also held at the cloisters, every year from July to September, and features international musicians performing alongside of emerging musical talents. To find your way around the area without a car, buy a bus ticket at a local tobacco store and find a blue and white SITA sign. Driving times are: Ravello to Amalfi, 15 minutes, Amalfi to Positano, 30 minutes, Positano to Sorrento, 35 minutes. nNaples: 60 km nPompei: 40 km nRavell 40 km nAmalfi: 35 km nPositan 20 km nSorrent 7 km nMarina della Lobra: 3 km nMassa Lubrense: 1.5 km n nAvailable Amenities: Shared swimming pool (open end of May - end of September), fireplace, cook-top, electric oven, Italian coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine, parking, central heating, telephone (incoming local calls only), air conditioning, satellite TV. nExtra Services: The following are listed as an aid for trip planning, the services and prices are approximate and cannot be guaranteed by Rentvillas. At the far end of the garden a little pond. nThis apartment is located in the part of the chateau built in the 17th century. This section has been tastefully decorated with antiques and exquisite fabrics, combined with pieces of modern European art. n n(120m2) Ground floor: On the ground floor is the living area, including a living/dining room, kitchen an entrance hall and guest bathroom. Because of the 3-foot wide walls, there is no need for air conditioning, as the walls keep the house quite cool in summer. n nLocated on the border of the Dordogne and Charente regions of Southern France, this charming chateau is located just outside of the medieval village of Chenaud (population of 340). Aulaye: 4.8 km nChalais: 4.8 km n nAvailable Amenities: central gas heating, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, etc., stereo and CD player, Satellite TV, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, Broadband and wireless internet connection, hair dryer. nArrive on Sunday there is a big antique market in Bordeaux. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is listed as one of the e2809cmost beautiful villages of Francee2809d. nPlease Note: n* The property is not well suited for handicapped people. n* Because of the river, children must be watched closely. n* Smoking and pets are not allowed on the estate. n* The owner provides a nice welcome basket with the necesseties such as milk, eggs, jam, and cheese, as well as a bottle of champagne.... more info >>
