Next to the TV is a wood burning stove and we provide the wood. It is very rare to find homes in Tahoe with real wood burning stoves and fireplaces since a rule came out over 6 years ago that fireplaces must be removed when a home is sold. I bought this house before that rule so I am able to keep the wood stove and fireplace. There are large double paned windows facing the mountain and meadows in this room. The sliding glass door leads you out to the large 55 foot deck with picnic table seating for 18 and a high quality BBQ. The views of the mountains and meadow are amazing and you can see coyotes, birds, chipmunks and sometimes a beaver running around. On the right side of the deck is a door that leads into the master suite with a queen bed, seating, and ensuite bathroom. You can also enter this private master suite through the garage. Off of the upstairs living room is a hallway which leads you to a bathroom with a shower/tub on the left, a queen bedroom on the right, a king bedroom on the right and then a second master bedroom on the left with a king bed, TV, DirecTV service, and a private bathroom with shower. Off of the upstairs living room is the open kitchen and dining seating for 12. The kitchen was recently remodeled with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new sink. Continue through the kitchen and walk down the stairs to the lower level. You will enter the billiards room with a large pool table. On the right are three bedrooms with queen beds. After you pass the billiards room, there is a large bathroom on the left with a shower. Continue down the hallway and you will enter the great room with a large TV with DirecTV, DVD player, DVD library, wet bar, bar stools, shuffleboard table, large cozy fireplace and I provide the wood. Pass this room and you will enter the sunroom. There is a ping pong table, couches and great views. To the right is a large bedroom with 3 full beds. There is a sliding glass door that leads outside to the hot tub. This hot tub was recently purchased and has lots of jets. Around the corner from the hot tub is the wood room. The driveway can fit 4 cars and 2 cars can fit in the garage. In the garage is a storage room for skis, boards, poles, boots, etc. Snow Removal I have a company that plows the driveway when there is more than 5 inches of snow. Remember to bring chains when traveling in the Sierras and bring extra food and water in your car.... more info >>

Description:We are now offering flexible 2, 4 or 6 bedroom accomodation - the choice is yours! nWe have achieved this flexibility by purchasing and completely refurbishing a second cottage (Dove Cottage) in Snettisham for holiday rental. This 2 bedroom cottage is at the bottom of the garden from our 4 bedroom cottage (Corner Cottage) thus allowing us to offer 2, 4 or 6 bedroom flexible accommodation suitable for parties from a couple up to larger groups. n nCorner Cottage. nThe 4 bedroom cottage was built in the 1880s and has been sympathetically restored and now offers exceedingly comfortable and surprisingly roomy accommodation. The cottage has all the benefits of modern amenities while retaining its, olde worlde charm such as wood burning stoves (wood provided) and cottage style doors and furnishings etc. n nThe layout of the cottage, with its king size double with en-suite and twin bedrooms at the front, king size double, children's bedroom and family bathroom at the rear - allows separation of the occupants. This arrangement is particularly attractive to two generations or two families. In addition, downstairs a similar arrangement exists with the front lounge and children's playroom/hall being separated by the rear hall and kitchen from the rear lounge/dining room - enabling guests to have their own space. Particularily appreciated for seperation of the age groups! n nOutside there is a secure walled courtyard garden with very attractive raised flower beds, herbs and resident tame blackbirds. The barbecue and hardwood table, parasol and chairs make dining al fresco a must! There is also a garage full of equipment - beach, baby and children's and a carport. We live in the cottage on a very regular basis and as a consequence you will be holidaying in our home with all the home comforts that you would expect in a home but not usually in a holiday let e.g. hair dryers, fully equipped kitchen, baby equipment including cot, monitor, stair gates, high chairs, baby buggy etc. nSleeps, 6 adults, 2 children, 1 infant n nFurther info please view www.snettishamcottage.com n nDove Cottage nThe cottage was built in 1842 and has recently been completely refurbished. Externally in period character with leaded windows etc. Internally with a modern style and facilities, appliances and gas fired central heating etc. but with traditional features such as the reclaimed oak mantelpiece, traditional fireplace and wood burning stove. n nThe cottage is compact but offers adequate accommodation for 4 pls an infant. It has a lounge/diner/kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms, walk in wardrobes and a bathroom upstairs. n nOutside there is a secure paved rear garden with barbecue, hardwood table and chairs and parasol which catches the afternoon sun and a small shingle front garden with a bistro table and chairs, ideal for sitting with a refreshing drink and watching the world go by. There is a garage to the side of the cottage offering parking and with sun loungers, cool box and other beach equipment stored There is also plenty of parking in the lay bye to the front of the cottage. n nJust as in Corner Cottage we have equipped Dove Cottage with all the equipment and facilities that you would expect in a e2809chomee2809d rather than a holiday let e.g. fully equipped kitchen, baby equipment, travel cot, etc. n nSleeps, 4 adults, 1 infant n nFor further info view www.snettishamcottage.com... more info >>
