Description:This semi-detached, pet friendly, barn conversion for 5 people is set on a working farm in the village of Stapleton near Church Stretton in Shropshire and is ideally situated to explore the nearby towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge. The Granary is located just 6 miles from Church Stretton and was originally a barn used as part of a working farm. It has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for up to 5 people. Much of the barn’,s original charm has been retained through features such as exposed beams and a wood-burning stove. The hallway sports an oak staircase and leads to the dining area up a set of original stone steps. For romantic couples, there is a four-poster bed and, for larger groups, there is shared use of a games room with its own snooker table. Description:Pian Di Cascina (Sleeps up to 30 guests) is a traditionally restored 400-year-old Umbrian stone farmstead, set in 20 acres of private, idyllic countryside. An oasis of rest and relaxation, in the midst of olive groves, fig, walnut and oak trees. At an altitude of 600m, you can experience a moderate, more refreshing climate, even on a hot summer's day. The farmstead has been carefully restored with attention to detail using traditional Umbrian stone, oak beams and terracotta paving. The property is divided into 7 separate properties. Each property has its own entrance, fully equipped handmade luxury kitchen with dishwasher, double bedrooms with king sized beds, en-suite bathrooms with large luxury showers and a private terrace with gas BBQ. There is a generous 16m x 8m swimming pool with fantastic views of the Apennines and large sun terraces with shade and sun loungers. The farmstead is within walking distance (20 mins) of the village of Carbonesca, which has several bars and a shop. Bedrooms: 8 double bedrooms each with a king sized bed. 7 single bedrooms each with 2 large twin beds. Cot/cribs for babies available. The bedrooms have one king sized bed and 2 large singles and both have suite bathrooms with large showers. The lovely private terrace overlooks the hillside to the south and has a gas BBQ, table, chairs and wooden pergola. It is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. If required, the Villetta can be adapted to sleep 6, there is a sofa bed in the lounge. We are open nearly all year round at Pian Di Cascina. We are in an ideal location for walking, cycling and sightseeing holidays as well and relaxing and enjoying the sun! We offer all guests complementary wireless internet access. All of our properties are fully centrally heated. All bedrooms have hand made furniture and traditional Umbrian fittings and fixtures. The beds traditional cast iron and are very comfortable with new mattresses and crisp linens. There are duvets provided in the cooler months and lighter cotton covers in the summer. Nice quality fluffy towels for the bathroom and the swimming pool are also included free of charge. All bathrooms have luxury fittings, powerful showers and mosaic tiles. Soap and toilet paper are provided. Outside There is a large stunning swimming pool (8 x 16m), with spacious terraces, set into the hillside. There is plenty of shade and excellent views of the surrounding area (the views are similar to an infinity pool). There are comfortable sunloungers and chairs and there is a paddling pool for babies. The property has it's own private terrace with shade from stylish wooden pergola. The terrace also has comfortable outdoor furniture and an easy to use gas barbeque grill. There are well established herb and flowers gardens that surround the property. There is also a spacious lawned games area with boule, badminton, ping pong and various other outdoor games. Description:The valley is a holiday haven for children: tucked away down a long private drive at Gilfach Vale, they rediscover the joy of fresh air and wide spaces, with endless opportunities to play and imagine. The large games room offers indoor entertainment too. With the children happy, the adults can relax and enjoy lazing in the garden or the rambling house with plenty of space to spend time together or retreat to a quiet corner. Gilfach Vale can sleep up to 12 people across 5 first floor bedrooms reached by two separate staircases. Bedrooms available from the first staircase: one double bedroom and one twin bedroom which share a shower room with WC and wash basin. And from the second staircase: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one childrens room with 2 sets of bunk beds. Another tiny room could take a cot. The large family bathroom has a bath, two wash basins and a WC. On the ground floor, is a Kitchen which is equipped with dishwasher, small fridge and freezer, bread maker, ice cream maker, microwave, double electric oven and ceramic hob, and a kitchen table seating 8. Next to the kitchen is a small sitting room with another dining table. There are also easy chairs, including a rocking chair, a small digital TV/DVD player and a woodburning stove, for those chilly winter nights. From this room, a door leads to the large sitting room with another wood burning stove, sofas and armchairs seating 12. Across the hall is a study with a large table, a downstairs bathroom with a WC and power shower over the bath, and a utility room with washing machine and another fridge. Off here is the boot room with shelves for your dity wellies and a tumble dryer. The two white buildings at Gilfach Vale make up the accommodation, the rest of the building, now with roses scrambling up the wall, used to be a woollen mill. From the boot room, stairs lead up to the large games room within the former mill building. Within the games room there is a snooker table, an electric guitar and amp, a TV with Freeview box, DVD player, Nintendo Wii and PS2. Outside the front of the house there is a large gravelled area with two picnic benches and lawned gardens beyond it provide plenty of space for family games of football, cricket and badminton. 30 acres of private land surround the house, offering walks and wildlife watching. Please supervise young children carefully: the lawn area is not securely fenced and the ditches alongside the garden may fill with water plus the river runs nearby. The pond is being allowed to silt up but can be very boggy. There is ample space for parking in front of the house.
