Next to the TV is a wood burning stove and we provide the wood. It is very rare to find homes in Tahoe with real wood burning stoves and fireplaces since a rule came out over 6 years ago that fireplaces must be removed when a home is sold. I bought this house before that rule so I am able to keep the wood stove and fireplace. There are large double paned windows facing the mountain and meadows in this room. The sliding glass door leads you out to the large 55 foot deck with picnic table seating for 18 and a high quality BBQ. The views of the mountains and meadow are amazing and you can see coyotes, birds, chipmunks and sometimes a beaver running around. After you pass the billiards room, there is a large bathroom on the left with a shower. Continue down the hallway and you will enter the great room with a large TV with DirecTV, DVD player, DVD library, wet bar, bar stools, shuffleboard table, large cozy fireplace and I provide the wood. Pass this room and you will enter the sunroom. There is a ping pong table, couches and great views. To the right is a large bedroom with 3 full beds. There is a sliding glass door that leads outside to the hot tub. This hot tub was recently purchased and has lots of jets. Around the corner from the hot tub is the wood room. The driveway can fit 4 cars and 2 cars can fit in the garage. In the garage is a storage room for skis, boards, poles, boots, etc. Snow Removal I have a company that plows the driveway when there is more than 5 inches of snow. Remember to bring chains when traveling in the Sierras and bring extra food and water in your car.... more info >>

Description:Factoid: translated, Mesopotamia means between three rivers. Since Basecamp 26 is poised near the confluence of the Sandy River to the north, the Salmon River and Still Creek to the south, you could technically say it 's in Mesopotamia. However, this charming home - reminiscent of a Swiss Chalet - is actually in picturesque Rhododendron and, as its topography would suggest, is a fisherperson 's paradise. Little Rhododendron, however, grew up with the ski industry, and considering its proximity to five ski resorts (including Mt. Hood Meadows, about 28 minutes away), it 's also a great place for winter sports as well. It 's the perfect alpine retreat for skiers, snowboarders and summer enthusiasts alike. The house also features a new private hot tub that is the perfect place to wind down after a day 's adventure! nYou 'll swear you 're in a chalet in the Swiss Alps when you stay in this 1828 square foot home, decorated with classic heavy timbers and intricate woodwork. A gas fireplace warms the living room with steady heat without poking at logs (central heating throughout). Skis and bindings decorate the walls in a fun and inviting way. Come hang your coats on the bindings, sit on the plush couches and relax as you look out at the forest behind the home and enjoy good company. There 's a TV with Cable and a VCR/DVD player as well so you can catch up on the movies you 've been wanting to see. And load up the iPod: there 's a dock for that as well. nEnjoy a spirited foosball match in the game room, all under the light from a fun chandelier made of antlers and the warmth of the wood stove. Plenty of room for spectators on the two couches and love seat. It also has a large, five pair boot/glove dryer that will get you dry and back up on the slopes the next day. One of the couches is a sleeper sofa, and there 's a half bath in the game room as well. nA body can work up an appetite after a day on the slopes, hiking on the many trails around Rhododendron, or even bird watching. No problem. This home has a fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a huge fridge and a dishwasher for fast, easy clean up. Enjoy your meal around the wooden dining table with room for six. If you 'd like to eat out, check for local restaurants on the free WiFi. Weather permitting, step through the big, sliding glass doors onto the deck. nWith three bedrooms, the sleeper sofa in the game room, a queen air mattress with an electric pump, and two twin cots, up to 12 tired vacationers can bed down for the night. The bedroom on the main floor has a charming queen sleigh bed with a beautiful acorn and oak leaf detail and a large, rustic style dresser. Down the hall is a large bathroom with a stand up shower that is easier for guests with mobility difficulties. On the same floor is a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer and more of the great ski bindings to hang your ski gear to dry. nUpstairs you 'll find a king sized sleigh bed and large closet space. Across the hall on the reclaimed wood floors is a room with two twin beds and large closets. In the middle of the bedrooms is a separate bathroom with an A frame window over the bathtub to let the sun dance on your face as the water warms your bones, tired from a hard day of fun. nWith its proximity to three rivers, Rhododendron is a haven for fly-fishing with a reputable outfitter just down the road in town and down the road in nearby Welches. Rhododendron is also a great place for bird watchers with two of the official Oregon Cascades Birding Trails nearby. And of course there 's plenty of skiing. (Take advantage of the special Vacasa offer at Mount Hood Meadows!) In summer, enjoy hiking, boating, rafting, climbing, horseback riding, fishing and more. Oh, and no need to leave pooch behind. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.... more info >>

Description:If you love the sea, you could hardly do better than this apartment in a Sorrento villa. Great for a family getaway, this vacation villa apartment in Italy has three bedrooms, two baths, and a shared swimming pool right on the water. The panoramic terrace is great for dining together or just enjoying endless views. And let's not forget the location! This apartment on the Sorrento Peninsula offers trails throughout the countryside, proximity to Sorrento, and easy access to all of the amazing spots in the area: Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii, and Capri. n nThis villa is one of very few in the area with both private sea frontage and a seawater swimming pool. The villa is built on four levels, with the Attico apartment on Levels 3 and 4. Levels one, two, and four open onto ample terraces equipped with outdoor furniture, while level three opens onto balconies with uninterrupted views of Naples, including the island of Capri, Procida, and Ischia. Mount Vesuvius looms in the background. A separate garden area, shared between the units, hosts a pizza oven with a wood stove and barbecue-- where staff, on request, can arrange handmade pizza parties. The shared swimming pool (10m x 6m, 1.5-3.5m deep) is set in a terrace just above the sea, ideal for sunset cocktail parties, while the sea access is about 100 steps down from the main entrance. Please be aware that the pool terraces are directly above the sea and unfenced, which means that children (and drinking adults!) need supervision at all times. The villa is accessed via a remote-controlled gate on a private street descending from the main road. There is parking available. n nAttico (130 m2) nLevel 4: The entrance on the topmost floor leads into a 40 m2 living room with an open fireplace, two sofas, and two armchairs. A sliding glass door opens onto the terrace, and a large window on the left has a view of Capri. The 180 m2 terrace has 180-degree views from Mount Vesuvius to the island of Capri. It is furnished with two wooden tables and a number of deck chairs, partially shaded by a bamboo roof. This level also has a partially open-plan kitchen equipped with a cook-top, electric oven, Italian coffee maker, dishwasher, and toaster. Another sliding glass door opens onto a stone-paved side terrace shaded by pine trees. A back room is also available for extra food and drinks. nLevel 3: A wooden staircase leads down into a large, open-plan room that can be enclosed with a sliding wooden door. Here there are two twin beds with a wardrobe and chest of drawers. It also has a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The room is nice and cool and opens onto a small side terrace. From here, a few stairs lead down to a corridor where you will find the master bedroom, which includes a 160-cm queen-size bed, air conditioning, a heating unit, and a small balcony with sea views. There is also a bedroom with two single beds and air conditioning, opening onto the same balcony. Back in the corridor, there is a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and bathtub with fixed showerhead. n nThis villa is located about 1.5 km from the center of Massa Lubrense, a quaint town just a few kilometers outside of Sorrento, on one of the most beautiful coastlines of Italy. The area offers beautiful landscape with more than 100 km of trails throughout the countryside, along with some of the best cuisine in the country! It is only 3 miles away from the Island of Capri and within reach of all of the major towns of the Amalfi Coast. Going into the heart of Sorrento, you'll find yourself in a thriving seaside community, filled with life, good food, and great shopping. Sorrento is famous for two things you can't miss: Limoncello (an alcoholic aperitif) and inlaid wood. The workshops of Sorrento were the first to use the technique of arranging small pieces of wood into intricate patterns, a practice which has been refined and perfected through generations. Take the time to find and visit one of the workshops-- you won't regret it! There are also a couple of places you ought not to miss. The first is the 10th century Basilica di San Antonio. Saint Anthony is the patron of navigators, and sailors have made thousands of votive offerings at his tomb in the crypt. The 11th century Cathedral is also beautiful, housing some frescoes and a bell tower with a ceramic clock. The cloisters of Saint Francis are interesting because they have been restored many times over the centuries, resulting in an impressive display of architectural styles from late gothic to the renaissance. The Sorrento Summer of Music is also held at the cloisters, every year from July to September, and features international musicians performing alongside of emerging musical talents.
