Description:This bright and spacious loft-style penthouse apartment offers majestic views over the canopy of a small park giving the feeling of a truly idyllic retreat in the countryside but is in fact in the middle of the city - less than 20 minutes to Friedrichstrasse. The apartment is located in Alt-Tempelhof, close to Kreuzberg, the multicultural melting pot and currently the most interesting part of Berlin with its vivid art scene, English theater, bars and restaurants. The living room is very bright, has high ceilings and measures 70 square meters. It is divided into three separate areas: a large dining area with a beautiful wooden dining-table and an attractive sunny balcony, a generous sitting area with sofa and armchairs and in the front next to the kitchen a cozy fireplace with a wood-burning stove. A large skylight lets in even more light: a crackling fire in winter and above you twinkling stars - what more could you want? The open-plan kitchen has a breakfast bar, a very good stove, large fridge and a dishwasher. A large larder provides space for essentials such as a freezer, provisions, wood for the oven and other things. The apartment has two large separate bedrooms. which face east and, like the terrace, receive the morning sunshine. The master bedroom has a large king size bed and a desk. The second bedroom is currently arranged as a study with a second desk, but could be converted into a second bedroom. All rooms have central heating. On entering through the front door, you will find beautiful stone tiles in the hall and bathroom. The bathroom, which is also light and sunny, comes with a floor to ceiling shower and is equipped with a high quality new washing machine. Next to the bedroom is a large store room, which is suitable for clothes, shoes and other things like vacuum cleaner, etc. A cellar is also available for storage. Behind the house there is a courtyard with communal garden, lawn and children’s play area. The street is quiet, tree-lined and cobble-stoned and has a number of architecturally beautiful buildings. The park in front of the apartment is a small paradise with ponds, walkways and ancient trees. The former Tempelhof Airport, which is now a huge green area and the creative playground for many Berliners, can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. Here more and more people pursue recreational activities, have fun with urban gardening and come together for barbecues. The famous ‘Bergmannkiez’ (the fashionable area of Kreuzberg) is a mere 10-15 minutes trip by Underground on the U6 or by bicycle. The S-Bahn Südkreuz, which is also one of the main railways terminals, is three bus stops away. There is easy access to both Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenefeld airports. In the immediate location of the apartment you will find numerous shopping possibilities, from organic food stores to discounters a large department store is directly opposite of the park. The apartment offers the perfect location for people who want lots of space and who plan to stay in Berlin for approx. 6-12 months. Longer stays may also be arranged by individual agreement. And last but not least: the apartment comes with a built-in fitness facility. Being an older building there is no elevator and so you will need to climb four flights of stairs to enjoy all the above. But it is worth it. If you wish to view the apartment or you would like to book it straight away, please contact Anna Hope, or call her on 49-.... more info >>

The area offers beautiful landscape with more than 100 km of trails throughout the countryside, along with some of the best cuisine in the country! It is only 3 miles away from the Island of Capri and within reach of all of the major towns of the Amalfi Coast. Going into the heart of Sorrento, you'll find yourself in a thriving seaside community, filled with life, good food, and great shopping. Sorrento is famous for two things you can't miss: Limoncello (an alcoholic aperitif) and inlaid wood. The workshops of Sorrento were the first to use the technique of arranging small pieces of wood into intricate patterns, a practice which has been refined and perfected through generations. Take the time to find and visit one of the workshops-- you won't regret it! There are also a couple of places you ought not to miss. The first is the 10th century Basilica di San Antonio. Saint Anthony is the patron of navigators, and sailors have made thousands of votive offerings at his tomb in the crypt. The 11th century Cathedral is also beautiful, housing some frescoes and a bell tower with a ceramic clock. The cloisters of Saint Francis are interesting because they have been restored many times over the centuries, resulting in an impressive display of architectural styles from late gothic to the renaissance. The Sorrento Summer of Music is also held at the cloisters, every year from July to September, and features international musicians performing alongside of emerging musical talents. To find your way around the area without a car, buy a bus ticket at a local tobacco store and find a blue and white SITA sign. Driving times are: Ravello to Amalfi, 15 minutes, Amalfi to Positano, 30 minutes, Positano to Sorrento, 35 minutes. nNaples: 60 km nPompei: 40 km nRavell 40 km nAmalfi: 35 km nPositan 20 km nSorrent 7 km nMarina della Lobra: 3 km nMassa Lubrense: 1.5 km n nAvailable Amenities: Shared swimming pool (open end of May - end of September), fireplace, cook-top, electric oven, Italian coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine, parking, central heating, telephone (incoming local calls only), air conditioning, satellite TV. nExtra Services: The following are listed as an aid for trip planning, the services and prices are approximate and cannot be guaranteed by Rentvillas.
