There is also residential wing on the ground floor which incorporates a large open-plan marble-floored living area with fitted kitchen, bathroom and twin bedroom with dramatic views across the lake to the attractive village of Osteno. The Villa has gardens on 3 sides, one consisting mainly of lawn set against a dramatic hillside, another full of trees and winding paths whilst to the front is a large stone terrace floodlit by night, overlooking a sloping shrub and flower garden. A stroll of 10 minutes from the front of the Villa takes one to a private beach and mooring area for the exclusive use of the residents of the private road leading to the front of the Villa. The private beach is in a wonderful setting with tables and chairs, sun loungers and shower with changing facilities. SKYitalia, BBC (TV & Radio) and ITV television are available on the top 2 floors and a Broadband WIFI network can be accessed from anywhere in the Villa. The farmstead has been carefully restored with attention to detail using traditional Umbrian stone, oak beams and terracotta paving. The property is divided into 7 separate properties. Each property has its own entrance, fully equipped handmade luxury kitchen with dishwasher, double bedrooms with king sized beds, en-suite bathrooms with large luxury showers and a private terrace with gas BBQ. There is a generous 16m x 8m swimming pool with fantastic views of the Apennines and large sun terraces with shade and sun loungers. The farmstead is within walking distance (20 mins) of the village of Carbonesca, which has several bars and a shop. There is a large 16m x 8m swimming pool with fantastic views, a several sun terraces with loungers. The Villetta boasts large dramatic rooms with lofty ceilings and oak beams. The Villetta has beautiful handmade chestnut windows and doors, terracotta window sills, paved floors and a charming character that has been well preserved. The Villetta also has a wood fired stove, a spacious living area with comfortable leather sofas, a handmade luxury kitchen with oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge freezer and dishwasher and stunning, almost panoramic views of the area. The bedrooms have one king sized bed and 2 large singles and both have suite bathrooms with large showers. The lovely private terrace overlooks the hillside to the south and has a gas BBQ, table, chairs and wooden pergola. It is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. If required, the Villetta can be adapted to sleep 6, there is a sofa bed in the lounge. We are open nearly all year round at Pian Di Cascina. We are in an ideal location for walking, cycling and sightseeing holidays as well and relaxing and enjoying the sun! We offer all guests complementary wireless internet access. All of our properties are fully centrally heated. All bedrooms have hand made furniture and traditional Umbrian fittings and fixtures. The beds traditional cast iron and are very comfortable with new mattresses and crisp linens. There are duvets provided in the cooler months and lighter cotton covers in the summer. Nice quality fluffy towels for the bathroom and the swimming pool are also included free of charge. All bathrooms have luxury fittings, powerful showers and mosaic tiles. Soap and toilet paper are provided. Outside There is a large stunning swimming pool (8 x 16m), with spacious terraces, set into the hillside. There is plenty of shade and excellent views of the surrounding area (the views are similar to an infinity pool). There are comfortable sunloungers and chairs and there is a paddling pool for babies. The property has it's own private terrace with shade from stylish wooden pergola. The terrace also has comfortable outdoor furniture and an easy to use gas barbeque grill. Description:Il Castello is a two bedroomed apartment accommodating 4 guests, in the Mill known as Dimora la Cascata, which has three apartments in total. There is room for two further guests on the large, comfortable sofa bed in the lounge area making the apartment idea for a family group or for up to 6 friends looking for a budget holiday in this superb part of Tuscany. Il Castello is located on the middle level of the Mill. It is a comfortable, spacious apartment with an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with tv/dvd/video (large selection of films and music), many books and some games. The apartment has full gas central heating and an efficient wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, large fridge/freezer and full oven facilities with more than enough utensils, cutlery and crockery etc for 7 persons. The two bedrooms each contain large queen sized beds with ample drawer and wardrobe space, one room also contains a single bed. The shower/wet room is fully tiled. The apartment has a small breakfast terrace outside the door and a larger terrace with sun shade, table, chairs and a portable bbq overlooking the stream with an interesting view through the arch of the bridge to the medieval village of Verrucola. The Mill has shared laundry and drying facilities, loungers, and bicycle for the use of all guests. To book the apartment a deposit of £100 is required, once received together with your party details the booking will be confirmed in writing. The remaining balance must be sent 6 weeks before arrival. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival or is for a short break, the full sum is payable. The booking fee includes electricity, gas, water, one clean of the apartment, before the start of the rental period, logs for the stove and one change of bed linen and towels per week. Short breaks are acceptable subject to availability (min 3 night stay) and cost between £70 and £75 per night depending on the season. There is also a small cantina across the borgo which opens in the evening during the summer months where you can sample locally made bread, salamis, pickles etc and sample some fine wines from an extensive collection. An opportunity to take an early evening stroll around this picturesque, medieval village, meet the local residents and practice your Italian! The town of Fivizzano Ten minutes walk away from Dimora la Cascata is the Medicean walled town of Fivizzano. There are a large variety of traditional shops, banks, bars and restaurants.
