Incredibly convenient if you are visiting or working in Burbank, Studio City, or NoHo, and a quick ride to downtown too. The space itself is amazing. The living room has an almost cathedral-like feel – huge and sunny with a double-height barrel ceiling, giant windows and hardwood floors. On clear days (which is almost every day in Southern California!), sunlight floods the room and makes for a truly wonderful place to relax or tweak your screenplay. The apartment is stylishly furnished and includes both wireless internet and a 37” LCD HDTV flat panel TV and DVD player. The open kitchen has everything you need to cook at home – including a microwave, four-burner gas stove, coffeemaker and toaster – and enjoy your meal at the adjacent dining table with seating for four. I live in the upper part of the city but normally each day i go to the studio to work. The flat its really spacious and light-filled with high ceilings and windows. The guest house is a large, entirely renovated studio style apartment located on the second floor with its own outdoor patio overlooking a large flowering garden. It is completely detached from the main house ensuring total privacy and is located down a gated driveway with its own private and secure entry. The terrace faces south and is covered in flowering jasmine and bougainvillea and is perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening glass of wine under the stars. What is inside the guest house? Pleased you asked! There’s….. • a gorgeous and comfortable Queen sized bed with fresh linens. If your group consists of 6 or more people, why stay in a small apartment with insufficient showers, toilets and rooms? for just a bit more this apartment offers you 5 bedrooms, three toilets and two showers to make your stay comfortable and pleasant!! It is an 6 min walk to Pl. Universitat (red metro line running north-south), 7 min to Passeig de Gracia, the upscale shopping artery of the city (yellow and green metro lines running east-west) or Hospital Clinic (blue metro line) metro stations. Many buses stop 1-2 mins walk from the apartment. The apartment is 110 m2 plus 40 m2 for the patio (1185 sq ft 430 sq ft), with very high ceilings with original plaster crown molding (two of them polychrome), and beautiful floors with original hydraulic tiles. It has been just restored, faithfully following the original floor plan and style, but with an up to date reinterpretation. The apartment has a modest size living room, a large dining room, a total of 5 bedrooms (two of the bedrooms face the street and have some traffic noise, the other three bedrooms are to the inside and quiet), all with plenty of closet space. This makes a total of three double beds and three twin beds. It also has a fully equipped kitchen. It is not a modern one but has all you might need to cook plus dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, electric kettle, and large refrigerator. There are two full bathrooms (one with shower and one with bathtub) and one half bathroom. There is a washer and a dryer, 2 TVs (in each of two of the rooms) and WiFi. And the most amazing and unique, you can use the large patio to chill out in the evenings or have memorable dinners. It's very clean and has things no hotel can offer. This listing is for use of a private 2 BR apartment with 2 private bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchenette and an outdoor private patio! This awesome apartment building has a killer roof deck with panoramic views of all of NYC and bridges. The building is manned with a 24 HOUR Doorman / Security, gym and laundry room as well. The patio outside either bedroom has a table and chairs which is lovely for coffee in the morning, as the sun is all over it. If you're the physical type, there is a gym (free) for your use in the building as well as a laundry room (coin operated), vending machines and ATM as well. The kitchenette has the bare, basic necessities fridge, microwave, hot plate with a couple of top of the line stainless pots/pans, a coffee maker. You are able to make small dishes (pasta, veggies, etc.) but there is no oven. Within 1 block in any direction, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and 24 hr deli that makes killer sandwiches 24 hours. Or anything can be delivered! The Building and Neighborhood: This building complex has 125 units, mostly 2 bedrooms, but this is a special 3 BR Duplex with outdoor patios! Overall, this is a young building: the average age in the entire complex is between 27-35. But these bedrooms are extremely quiet as it's in the corner of a building ground level. This neighborhood is very lively after the sun goes down. The East Village has been heavily built up over the last 5 years and located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan. The East Village offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and a beautiful park. You can walk to Indian, Russian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vegetarian and American restaurants within a 5 block radius. If you're too tired and beat up from touring NYC and don't feel like going anywhere, you can simply order in and have anything delivered to the room (usually until 11 pm or midnight). And these little privately owned restaurants are MUCH better than midtown/tourist-trap food chain places. There are at least three 24/hr places to eat within 1 block. This building is one of only a few in the neighborhood that has a doorman and an elevator. About 95% of the buildings in the area are walk-ups. Your home away from home will provide the NYC experience not soon forgotten: the spectacular panoramic view of NYC on the roof deck (elevator and outdoor furniture up there), 2 private patios in the unit, a huge courtyard in middle of complex, about 50 restaurant/bars/cafe's within a 3 block radius and probably 500 within a 10 block radius. Enjoy a beautiful park (Tompkins Square) at the end of the block and an East River waterfront park about 4 streets/blocks to the east.
