Booking notes A 30 % deposit is required to secure the booking(non refundable). Bank transfer in euros is preferred. The balance, plus a 300 euro damage deposit is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. The damage deposit covers damage, breakages or any excessive cleaning. This will be refunded 2 weeks after the rental period upon making a satisfactory check on the villa. The village has a stunning cathedral that was built in the 15th century on the instruction of Pope Sisto V who lived in the village. The ceiling of the cathedral is a replica of parts of the sistine chapel in Rome (without the queues)! With a population of about 2500 the village is well serviced with a number of shops, restaurants, local bars, a post office, newsagent, grocer, butcher, bank etc. Not much English is spoken in this region but you'll find this is half the fun of being here and lots of arm waving and pointing with the odd word goes a very long way. Many of our guests enjoy the atmosphere that the village offers and this is why they return time and time again and have become friends. The village is 25 minutes from the provincial capital of Ascoli Piceno which is famous for its architecture, old travertine marble squares, churches, museums and is thought to be older than Rome.
