The rooms and the place itself is really spacious, plus the price difference from a 1-4 persons booking is very very little. ********** -Central Located in a 1890 classical building with Gaudi’s Palau Guell just across the street, Barcelona's most known boulevard Las Ramblas at the corner, and La Boqueria main traditional food market of the city two blocks away. -Spacious The space is a 250m² / 2700 sqFt flat that contains 3 parts: 1(grey). The rental apt at one extreme of the flat. 2 (purple). A long common entrance corridor that separate both parts. 3 (orange). My studio workplace at the opossite extreme. I live in the upper part of the city but normally each day i go to the studio to work. The flat its really spacious and light-filled with high ceilings and windows. All the photos are recent (Sept Nov 2011 and Jan 2012) and I like to update them to reflect the current season and changes in furniture, objects and plants....it's not a frozen scenario. -Calm The apt is very quiet with large courtyard windows and terrace. Having your place located in this kind of courtyard is NOT irrelevant. At the center you must be prepared to have your neighbor just at 3-4 meters in front of your window and to have a lot of noise at night from the street. ********** -Singularities: 01. The rental apt have a typical old school bath distribution: bath in one room (bath sink) and a separate toilet (wc sink) located at the entrance corridor. It's NOT a shared toilet. 02. Description:Why stay anywhere else in Los Angeles, when you can stay in comfort and style in a large, private loft-like space that is situated in an historic gated neighbourhood in Los Angeles which was home to famous jazz musicians (Lena Horn) and actors (Tyrone Power, Hattie McDaniel and others) during Los Angeles' golden age of the 1930's and 1940's. I have been an Airbnb host since 2009 and I love hosting people from all over the world. So let me tell you about my guest house..... Where is the guest house located? The guest house is centrally located in the Hancock Park/Korea town area of Los Angeles. It is 5 minutes from the charm of Larchmont Village and Paramount Studios, 12 minutes from downtown LA , 12 minutes to Beverly Hills and 20 minutes from Universal Studios. I am close to major freeways and cross streets that can get you anywhere you need to go. For those who don’t wish to drive in LA, I am walking distance to Olympic Boulevard which is serviced by major bus lines going east and west. What is the guest house like? The guest house is a large, entirely renovated studio style apartment located on the second floor with its own outdoor patio overlooking a large flowering garden. It is completely detached from the main house ensuring total privacy and is located down a gated driveway with its own private and secure entry. The terrace faces south and is covered in flowering jasmine and bougainvillea and is perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening glass of wine under the stars. What is inside the guest house? Pleased you asked! There’s….. • a gorgeous and comfortable Queen sized bed with fresh linens. I also have a queen air mattress for those of you who don’t wish to share a bed! • a closet with hanging space for your dresses and shirts, a chest of drawers and ample space for your bags. • a beautiful marble bathroom with a large shower (no tub). • soft and fluffy hotel style towels and a hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided. • a port a crib in case you need it for your little one. • a granite kitchen with a 2 burner cook top, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator (under bench), coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, plates, glasses, cutlery etc. All of this is perfect for cooking breakfast before you head out to see LA. • free broadband internet. • a flat screen TV with Basic Cable and HBO package (PPV requires an extra charge) • air conditioning to keep you cool and heat to keep you cozy and warm. • easy, free and safe street parking on a wide quiet street right in front of the main house. What else do I need to know about the guest house before I book? THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STUFF ... • The USD85 per night does not include Los Angeles City Hotel Tax which is currently 14% of the room rate on a per night basis. You need to pay the tax separately when you arrive and I’ll deal with the hassle of paying the City. • To cover that broken plate, stray cigarette burn or any other damage, I require a USD200 security deposit. It is refundable at the end of your stay and so far I have returned everyone’s security deposit in full! • No smoking inside the guest house - but there is a lovely terrace where you may smoke outside and enjoy a view over the garden. So much nicer, don’t you think? • Please check my calendar before you book! I keep it up to date and I hate to disappoint you when you ask for dates that are already booked. Our condo is located within a gated community just off of Riverside Drive in the up and coming South Shore District with ample free parking and a bus stop 1/3 of a mile away. Enjoy a drink while watching the famous Congress Avenue Bridge bat colony fly directly overhead every evening, mid-March through November. The queen bed sleeps two and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. I will consider hosting 4 guests for event weekends such as SXSW and ACL but prefer couples. Keep in mind that the one bathroom is accessed though the bedroom only so a small inconvenience for anyone sleeping on the sofa. Description:We are a young German couple living together in this quiet and well-located apartment in the 6th district just next to the main shopping street. We rent it entirely though when we are not in Vienna. The Westbahnhof (main station west) and two subways are just around the corner, so you can arrive everywhere in Vienna in less than 30 minutes. Most of the sights are even in walking distance. We like to welcome easy-going guests who are looking for a short stay in a cosy and clean apartment. We hosted a lot of family and friends and helped them all to make the best of their time in Vienna. The apartment can be rented either entirely (when we`re not at home) or just one single room. Description:Galicia is always an interesting challenge when it comes to finding that winning balance of traditional with comfortable. We see traditional houses that turn out to be monastic in their furnishing, and plush properties that we find simply soulless. We have to say “gracias” and move on. This property has it just right. The architecture is thoroughly traditional and the accommodation is not just comfortable, it’s warm and inviting. You can have a wonderful family holiday here in greenest Spain. The property consists of two stone cottages in one: a 3-bed and a 2-bed house forming an L-shape around a walled patio. They are rented together as a single property, although for dates that avoid July and August, the larger house may be rented on its own (and then the smaller cottage remains closed). Having two cottages means that two families can be together and independent at the same time. They adjoin each other with their own entrances from the patio. It also means double facilities: two kitchens, living areas, TVs and DVD, and WiFi internet. And you can all join together to share meals in the main house, which has a dining table and chairs to seat 10 people. We'd have liked a dishwasher, but we couldn't fault it otherwise. Stone walls and rusticity in wooden floors and furnishings are contrasted with some colourful painting, good beds, smart fittings. It’s a holiday home with many qualities and a lot of heart. We like it when houses have a bit history, too. The caretaker explained that she knew the property very well because many years ago it was old village school and she used to climb the stairs to go to class... Several original elements have been left in place when practical, appropriate and attractive, such as an old marble basin and a grand stone fireplace (firewood and central heating are included here). Both cottages look onto the lovely old patio and enjoy all due privacy, backing onto other houses a decent distance away. In the corner of the patio (which is cobbled and uneven, but we found this was part of its genuine charm) is a sheltered recess resembling a wine cellar, set with barrels and stools. The patio door opens to a parking area and entrance to the private garden entrance. The garden is hedged round and landscaped on two levels. You have a beautiful, large swimming pool here, surrounded by a well-kept lawn. There’s also a barbecue and, sheltered by trees, a children’s playhouse with a few toys, very neat and nicely kept. This is an idyllic place for a family holiday. The pool water is salt-filtered to be kind on eyes and the pool garden is gated. The garden and pool are not overlooked and, in any case, in such a quiet rural location like this, the local people respect your privacy completely. The centre of the village is just a few minutes’ walk. You can do your shopping here (there’s a particularly good butcher’s) and there are a couple of good places to eat out or have drinks, including a hotel and a rustic bar. Just 6 km away, the small town of Pontecaldelas, prettily set by the River Verdugo, offers a number of restaurants. Galicia has a deserved reputation for food so expect to eat very well! The area is beautifully unspoilt and within half an hour there’s so much to discover and enjoy: signposted walks along paths through lovely woods and to waterfalls, medieval architecture, petroglyphs, views of the ocean and estuaries from the Pontevedra mountains, including the legendary O Seixo, forested hills where wild horses and even an occasional protected wolf still roam. The coast is a big attraction, of course! We place the nearest good, sandy beach at 40 minutes. Portocelo beach in Marin is not just the closest one, it has the accolade of a Blue Flag for its clean water and facilities. Nearby Poio offers other good beach options. And by no means to be disregarded are some lovely river beaches for river swims and picnics. There’s one just 2 km from the villa. In the same area, horse riding is possible for all the family, following routes through the countryside and over the river. If you fancy a town visit, and you can drive or catch a bus from the village to Pontevedra, which has a historic centre. And this being Celtic Galicia, there is always an interesting atmosphere, some food fair or other going on, especially seafood, and the welcome of what we think are the friendliest people in all of Spain. The 12 luxurious villas provide every visitor with the chance to experience carefree holidays and feel the calmness that both the superb view to the sea and the imperious Psiloritis (Mount Ida), the highest mountain peak of Crete can create. The complex is comprised of twelve luxurious villas of 80 sq.metres each, which are located in six two story separate buildings. The calmness, the quietness, the beautiful Cretan environment, the comfort of the newly constructed residences of the complex and Cretan hospitality are the elements that make this place so special. The twelve luxury villas were built by high quality design and high quality materials in a sophisticated and intimate space of Cretan landscape that highlights their beauty. Each two story luxurious residence provides an external swimming pool 3,5m x 5m, patio furniture, sunbeds while in the internal space there is a kitchen, a bathroom and a lounge the sofa of which can be converted into a double bed. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, which are connected by a sliding door, and the central WC. One of the bedrooms is actually a twin bedroom whereas the other one has a single sofa-bed. One spacious balcony comes to accomplish the first floor while the large verandas of the basement lead to the external swimming pool and the big garden.
