Winter sees our courtyard gently covered in snow, a horse-drawn sleigh ready to take you for a ride across the pristine valley. The Waterville Valley Nordic Center is located in Town Square, and offers 70 km of Nordic trails for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. The shuttle bus offers complimentary rides to and from Waterville Valley Ski Resort, for great riding and skiing just 5 minutes away. And the WV indoor ice arena is located adjacent to Town Square. Condor Cove is a two story with the second level entering into the huge kitchen that is fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher and a large dining table and a nice dining bar with additional seating. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, TV, DVD and wireless internet plus a front deck with furnishings, propane BBQ and lake views. Wonderful, relaxing meals can be shared here, while overlooking living area below and out expanse of windows to the lake.2 bedrooms and a bathroom are located on same level as kitchen/dining room. One room has queen bed, while the second holds bunk with double bed below. The three-piece bathroom on this level is equipped with bathtub. 4 steps lead down to bright living area with its comfortable seating ceiling fan, and large windows. We're located on the Lauderdale Lakes chain (spring fed, so clean!) in Elkhorn, WI. Mill, Middle and Green Lakes are connected by channels. Enjoy our panoramic lake view, 900 feet of shorefront on 2 acres of land. Secluded, so no neighbors to worry about, but a short drive from restaurants, shopping, etc. Lots of local highlights.Summer? Watch the kids build a sandcastle on our mini beach. Catch some fish off the dock. Play driveway tennis. Launch your own boat from the public launch, or rent one from the marina on the lake for water sport opportunities. Take the paddleboat, kayaks or canoe out for some exercise, or over to The Landing for a cold beer or a kiddie cocktail. My favorite and unexpected delights were the fresh oyster po-boys provided by Martin & Shannon's afternoon jaunts on the beach. A New Orleans girl's heaven! Overall, we just enjoyed the slow passage of time. Time to read a book from cover to cover, time to play Password & Trivial Pursuit & Texas Hold'Em & Badminton, time to feed the crabs and throw rocks into the sea, time to really talk to each other, and time to just be quiet!
