There are fast trains from Twickenham to London Waterloo which take from just 25 minutes. The following buses R70, 290 267 and 281 stop just outside or closeby. The wonderful district of Richmond on Thames where you will find boutique shops, riverside bars, a cricket green and theatre and the royal park is 3.8 km away. There is also a mainline station and underground on the district line at Richmond. Other nearby attractions include Hampton Court, Ham House, Twickenham Rugby stadium, Kingston, Marble Hill Park. You will discover attractive pubs along the River Thames in Twickenham, Richmond and Kingston. Great for walks or cycling along the Thames paths or in Richmond or Bushy parks. Description:The Sunflower House is a spacious two-story residence in the heart of the traditional Catalan neighborhood of Poblenou in Barcelona, next to the beach. After 20 years of being the Blue Moon lamp factory, it it has been getting converted to an artistic type of loft space over the last three years. It has 3 double bedrooms, (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs) that can be rented individually or together. The house is in a quiet corner of a great little neighborhood: a block away from metro Poblenou (10 minutes to BCN center), buses, night bus, Bicing, the tram, shops, supermarkets and everything else you may need. The Mar Bella/Bogatell/Nova Icaría beaches are a short stroll down c/Bilbao or the beautiful tree-lined Rambla de Poblenou. The large reception/lamp exhibition space is now the living room, with big mirrored sliding doors to the kitchen. It has a dining room set, another desk, 2 couches, TV, VHS, DVD player and a large collection of VHS cassettes. There is no television reception, you can only watch movies. Also, there is a large collection of guide and history books of Spain, Catalunya and Barcelona in a variety of languages. The kitchen is big, sunny and has a large collection of international teas and spices, which guests are welcome to use. A BBQ outside and a large variety of pots and pans give the gourmet plenty of possibilities to make delicious meals. The guests have an entire fridge to themselves. Outside the kitchen is a small Andalusian-style patio, with lots of plants, herbs, a BBQ, two chairs and a table. There are three double bedrooms. The first two are on the top floor, the third one at ground level. We are in the process of painting murals in all the rooms. 1) The Study and Map Room: divided by a large wardrobe, the front of the room is covered with maps of the Barcelona and Mediterrenean region and has a big worktable in addition to the desk. A bookcase in the room holds an eclectic collection of National Geographics, assorted magazines, books and encyclopeadias. The bedroom in the back has a double bed, sidetables and individual reading lamps. This is the bedroom that does not have a mural (yet). We are planning a Flamenco music and dance mural in this room. 2) The Fantasy Room: a large mural featuring a coastal landscape at sunset dominates this room. On the walls are further decorations of planet-type orbs. To store clothes, suitcases etc. there is a large walk-in closet at the end of the room. The room has a double bed, a side table, 2 chairs, a wooden table and a desk. 3) Next to the entrance downstairs is the last bedroom, with a double bed, large table, chairs, a wardrobe and shelves. We are in the process of painting a large Cadaqués / Salvador Dalí mural in this room the days the room is not rented. It is possible to sleep two more in the living room on the fold out couch to accomodate 7 or 8 people in total. Perfect for a family, a small company or a group of friends. LGTB friendly. Pets and children are welcome. Behind the 3rd room is the artist studio/workshop and where I live/work with my fiancé, a carpenter. We will be on call for whatever questions or problems you may have during your stay, and hope to show you a bit of Barcelona, our favorite city! Internet is increasingly important, whether you are just traveling or also working remote. Just last month fiber optic cable got installed in the neighborhood, and we made sure this house got connected to it. We now have a 50 mega connection to ensure speedy access even if a lot of people in the house are using their computers, tablets etc. Also, for trans-Atlantic travelers, we have an American-European power converter. If you have a car, you can park it for free on the communal parking lot on c/Espronceda 2 blocks away, or for a fee on the streets. The area is a Green Zone. Description:Welcome! We have a Beautiful well lit home, only a block from the Ballona creek bike path. There are bikes available for your use as well! A 2 seater/tandem bike and a single beach cruise bike. Place is 3 miles to Venice beach or Playa del rey beaches. Very conveniently located only a few blocks from the 90 freeway (only freeway in LA with out traffic!) Easy 90 and 405 freeway access allows quick rides to hollywood, Redondo beach, Longbeach, airport etc. Bus lines and bike paths lead the 3 miles to Venice beach, The Marina, Santa monica, etc. The place is clean and has a front and back patio (ok to smoke outside only) and shared yard. One parking space is avilalble in gated driveway and street parking is easy. There is 3 bedrooms and a 4th bedroom/office space with sleeping space attached off of the 3rd bedroom. 1st bedroom has a California King sized bed (can very comfortably sleep 3) 2nd room is a kids room (kid friendly with toys and a small kid bed) 3rd room has a queen sized bed for 2 people, 4th room has Queen sized air bed that sleeps 2. Description:This restored 1950s cottage offers 2 private bedrooms, one with a full bed, the other with 2 twin beds in a trundle set and a vibrating chaise lounger. We also have 2 clean camp cots and an air bed that can be set up in the large open dining/kitchen area. The bathroom has a full-size tub and shower. All rooms have cable tvs, we have an old school video/game library and DVD/VHS/Playstation 2 players available on one set. The dining area seats six and overlooks our fish pond. There is a computer station with free use of our private LAN and public wireless access is available throughout the neighborhood. The dining area opens to the spacious kitchen that has a fridge stocked with basic condiments, a gas stove, new microwave and all the gadgets, appliances and settings you need for formal dining or packing a picnic basket for your day trips. We also provide you full private use of the front yard which has a large picnic table, umbrella, ice chest, and a Weber grill so you can try your hand at Texas BBQing. Or you can share with us our backyard outdoor living area and use the gas grill and covered patio areas. Our home is in the East Cesar Chavez Neighborhood, located on the Tejano Healthy Walking Trail, and is across the street from Martin Middle School's track and tennis courts. Next to the school playground is an adjacent city Playground, Park, and Pool. There are no fees to play or swim at these parks. Description:Detached guesthouse in the middle of the wine country on 2 acres will be ready to rent on Feb 1st, 2012. Newly remodeled guesthouse. 1bdrm, 1bath with a full kitchen and fenced back yard with large covered patio, (with patio heater!!), for enjoying a BBQ or partaking in some of your new found wine treasures. We also have lots room off street for parking your car, truck, RV or boat. Also, your other gear like bikes or kayaks will be more than safe in your secluded back yard or on your covered patio if it rains. Our location couldn't be any better, the West side of the Sonoma Mountains is where the locals hang out and wine taste. I've never stopped to count them, but I would guess that there are 150-200 wineries within an hours drive of us. We are 10 minutes to Historic Downtown Petaluma, 25 minutes to Historic Downtown Sonoma and the Sonoma Square, 25-35 minutes to the Russian River, Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley wine regions (the best wine tasting this side of the Golden Gate Bridge), 45 minutes to Bodega Bay, 35 minutes to Napa, and 40 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. We're also 35 minutes to Lake Sonoma, (great fishing for Trout or Bass), for a fun day on the lake. Are the Peanuts comic strips your thing? We are 15 minutes from the Charles Schultz Museum with the Snoopy's Home Ice skating rink in Santa Rosa. For an amazing day trip, we are just over 2 hours to Mendocino and the Lost Coast. Our proximity to Bodega Bay means warmer winters and cooler summers. Summer days average in the upper 80's to low 90's, with the nights getting into the low 50's. Winter days run in the upper 50's and low 60's, with nights dipping into the low 30's. It's not unusual to see the local hills with a light dusting of snow for Christmas. We are located out in the country a bit in the town of Penngrove, and with the exception of one neighbor, we are surrounded by rolling hills and horse pasture on all sides. We are a 10 minute drive to anything you might need be it a drug store, restaurants, tavern, movie theater, super market, pack 'n ship, hardware store, or hospital. If quiet is what you are looking for, you will have found it here. Each afternoon you will be treated to a sun setting into the eucalyptus grove across the field, and an evening sky full of stars. Each morning, you can enjoy a big mug of locally roasted, fresh brewed coffee on your patio, or take a short 10 minute walk down to our local coffee house/cafe, JavAmore' for a wonderful breakfast, either way, it's hard to beat a Sonoma morning. The guesthouse is non-smoking. You are welcome to smoke on the patio with the sliding door closed. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook for a family of 4, with granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances. The bedroom has recessed lighting, and a 6ft closet for all of your vacation gear. It has a queen size bed with night stands and a large dresser if you chose to make it an extended stay. The bathroom is truly special, with a restored 120yr old claw-foot tub, and an antique dresser turned bath vanity with a custom stone vanity top. The living room is furnished with a queen size futon/sofa, end tables, coffee table, entertainment center, fire place, flat screen TV with cable, and free Wi Fi. We just finished with the remodel, it is currently rented through the end of March. We are getting lots of inquiries, check the availability calender to see if it's open for the time you are looking for. Rates are per night for 2 guests, there is a 4 person maximum with the 3rd and 4th guest at an additional $15 per person/per night. Description:We are located in the heart of Amsterdam on the lovely Keizersgracht canal. We are just two blocks south from Rembrandtplein and within walking distance to pretty much everything you came to see. Our house is the whole canal-side building which we have divided up into a few self contained private apartments, along with some single and double rooms, both with and without en-suites. At the top of our house is our Penthouse Apt. offering funky loft style living. There is a double bed on the mezzanine level that can comfortably sleep two. The couch also doubles as a bed so the penthouse can accommodate up to 4 people total. Our Penthouse Apt has a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower just off the main room. Best of all the penthouse benefits from it's own outdoor patio. There is a computer in the room for you to use that is connected to the internet and a server full of movies and shows. Free Secure WiFi is also available throughout the building. We have some bicycles that we are more than happy to lend out to the guests. Just ask if they're available. Description:The bungalow's a little haven on hospital hill, or NoHo, as I call it. One of the safest, quietest neighborhoods in Flagstaff, it's near Buffalo Park, a huge meadow with world-class mountain views, trails, and out of this world stargazing (although the stars are amazing from my patio, too :) Downtown is only a mile away, so it's a short drive and a relatively nice walk depending on the season. Also, I have a small fleet of bikes you'd be welcome to use if you're so inclined! My place has a really open floor plan, with two divided rooms that could be called four rooms, the kitchen/living room and the office/bedroom. I really enjoy the kitchen/living room because it lets you prepare food and enjoy company in the living room at the same time, or watch a movie/tv while you're cooking, if that's your fancy. The house is split into 2 units, so there is a shared wall with a family, so please no crazy noise at night. A little is fine, though, and even welcome (I occasionally hear the faint din of a saxophone in the evening, but nothing I'd consider disturbing). If you like to barbecue or build a campfire, there's a fire pit/grill in my patio/garden area. I have a privacy fence so it's a nice little hang out area. The bed is a king-size goose-down mattress, which I like to call nature's memory foam, and it adjoins the office, but can be closed off easily with a curtain. I like watching the lights from the disco ball bounce around the room from time to time...Alternatively, you might like building a fire in the living room and sleep on the queen-size futon.
