Sightseeing boat tours and cruises on the Spree River in Berlin just 400 meter away, close to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt and the German Chancellery. Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate is 20-25 min away walking across the park or by the river side. Description:LOCATION: The house is next door from Jamaa El Fna square, which makes it easy to access and find, and a very good starting point to both discover the rest of the medina and access the shopping districts of the new town, such as Gueliz or the Hivernage. It is very close to the Koutoubia, the Gardens of the Koutoubia Hôtel and the Club Méditerrannée counpound. BUILDING: The house is a 19th century Riad, with many original features, such as cedar doors and ledges, wooden ceilings.. The Riad is U shaped, wrapped around a 40 meter square patio with bougainvilleas and a small pool, heated and filtered. GROUND LEVEL: At the ground level, there are two lobbies en suite leading to the patio, a b'hou (an open living room overlooking the patio), a more formal living room with a fireplace and a painted ceiling, a visitors' bath and restroom, and a kitchen. FIRST FLOOR: On the first floor, a 2m wide open gallery runs on two sides of the patio and opens, first, onto a green bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom en suite. Next, the gallery leads to a service room, which is not available to guests, and finally to the blue room, with a queen sized four poster bed and an adjacent bathroom (large tub). UPPER FLOOR: On the top floor there is a U shaped terrace with a sun bathing space and two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each bedroom and its bathroom is an independent unit and can be accessed directly from the terrace. On top of the buildings housing these units there are two upper terraces. The larger one is set up as a summer living room with a pergola and offers nice views on the Koutoubia and Marrakech fabulous sunsets. The other one is used for service and not accessible to guests. OUTDOOR SPACES: The patio and its heated and filtered pool, the first floor gallery, the lower and upper terraces, and the b'hou AMENITIES AND STAFF: Linen (sheets, towels, bathrobes..) and usual amenities such as hairdryers are provided in each room and bathroom. There is a French speaking guardian who also understands and speaks a little English, and a French speaking female caretaker, who deals with house cleaning and breakfasts. She is also an excellent cook and other meals can be arranged for an additional fee. Both are totally reliable and highly professional people who have long been in the employ of the owner of the house. INTERNET AND MEDIA: The house also provides free internet through a wifi connection accessible from the ground and first floors, a free access computer and its printer, satellite TV in the blue room, and a multimedia projector to project, at night, movies from the first floor gallery onto the opposite blank wall, above the pool (turns out to be the equivalent of having a 5m by 4m screen, which is rather spectacular and a great hit with kids note though that we provide neither the movies nor the laptop to be connected to the projector). TRANSPORTATION: we can arrange for a private shuttle to collect you from, or take you to, the airport. It can acommodate up to 6 people. Its price (each way) is Euros 20, which is more or less the price of a cab for the same ride, in less comfortable conditions. It is also a good way to check the quality of both the driver and the provided vehicle, which are the very same we recommend for any sightseeing trips you might want to make around Marrakech (Ouzoud waterfalls and the valley of the Ourika are two very nice possibilities for instance).... more info >>

The sliding glass doors open up wide to take in this wonderful deck built into the side of a mountain. Great building great location. Vacation Rental Features Place came out Unreal!!!! Doesn't feel or look like a apartment, more of a town house. Built into the side of the mountain the building starts on the 6th floor, we are the top two floors of the building 7th and 8th. So it's only one flight up. Building is 30 years old, but once inside the apartment you will step into 2011 APARTMENT STATS: 2582 SQFT. 1000 sqft open terrace. Whole apartment slides open to the deck. Making this place one of the biggest rental properties in Medellin. Awnings are in place rain or shine you can entertain on the patio. 5 bedrooms each with its full bathroom. 3 water heater make sure everyone gets a hot shower. 5 LCD TV's in each bedroom. Remote control ceiling fans. (1) 50 inch plasma LG in living room with blu-ray player. Still working on getting all the ipod docks. I believe as of today we have 3 docks installed in bedroom and 1 dock out at the bar. 4 lounger chairs, next to our 6 person hot tub. The entire apartment was redone opening the living room up to entertain in a space that doesn't have a comp on the Medellin market. AREA: Poblado, south, 3 blocks from avenida poblado and behind avenida las vegas. Next store to the body tech gym with the pool where all the beautiful people go, lol. Two local restaurants across the street are perfect for cheap good local eats. Getting to Parque lleras by cab takes about 7 minutes without crazy traffic. Frontera Mall is two blocks away Oveida mall took me 20 minutes to walk to. Taxi's can be called from the apartment or picked up on either poblado or las vegas streets. ATM's can be also found on Las Vegas and Poblado. First of all this is an enormous place spanning two floors. I couldn't get over how big this seemed. The deck itself is bigger than most of the apartments I have stayed in. The location is south of the Santafe Mall by about ten minutes walking. Next door is a historic church that hosts weddings on the weekends. I felt safe walking around during the day but didn't walk around too much at night -- even though there were people around -- there is a popular gym next door. I don't recommend walking anywhere at night othan than Park Lleras and only on the main streets there. Back to the apartment -- the manager met me at the entrance and introduced me to the Porters. From the point on everytime I walked up to the gate the Porters immediately had it opened for me. The service was great. The interior of the apartment is nicely decorated TVs and Ipod docks in every room. The showers all had hot water and good water pressure. I would recoomed this apartment to couples, families, friends, and groups. A solo traveler would find this apartment to be huge -- almost too much space. I stayed here with my girlfriend and we didn't venture into probably three rooms the entire time -- it is that big. It is roughly the same price as a single room at the Royal Medellin, Intercontinental, or Dann Carlton but here you get multiple bedrooms, privacy, and a huge deck and hottub with an amazing view. Trust me you will only thank me if you stay here. It's the closest Penthouse on the market to Parque Lleras, being a block from Juan Valdez coffee smack dab in the center of the Parque. My friend Rich H, from First American would say to me that any good pitcher could throw a ball from my deck into the middle of the parque area. The first question most inquiries ask me is how far any of my places are from Lleras, with this one I just tell them there, out the door from this apartment. My bedroom was perfect it was it was actually off of the the terrace so I had privacy from the other bedroom and room-mate. There is no doorman here so I never had to check my guest in. The first time I walked up to the fourth floor I was a bit winded with the groceries, but then I realized that I was going into my apartment when I got to the top and then I looked at it as good daily exercise. It is a legit 2 bedroom place, so if price is a concern bring a buddy and split the cost. Or if price is not a concern just rent it for yourself, it's roughly $750 a week. It is up 3 or 4 flights of stairs, but it was no problem for me. There is a nice veranda or what ever you want to call it, outside, overlooking the street action and with a long view all the way to the hills. Of course it's located just above Parque Lleras on Calle 10 and Avenida 37. If it fits your budget you won't find a better place. By the way, Calle 10 may be underappreciated. Right next to this building, on Calle 10, is a computer-internet business, so if you don't bring a computer you can check your email etc. Also, on Calle 10 less than a block down is an ATM. On the other side of Calle 10, the Desayunadero 10, or something similar, is very good for breakfast. On the near side of Calle 10, about a block down, is a combo liquor-eating joint, with good local style meals at good prices. Crossing Calle 10 going away from Lleras, on each side street there are little hidden restaurants, sushi, Mexican, Middle Eastern. On Calle 10 just a couple of blocks down you have Mondongos, which is really not to be missed. You can also walk down to Ave Poblado, go to Cheers next to Parque Presidencial. Nightlife: - Bica do Sapato (2km) - Bairro Alto (4 km) Tram 28 goes to all of these places and you can catch it 500m from the flat. Taxis are very cheap in Lisbon too. I can give you other suggestions. There are other modern artistic circuits , if that would be of your preference. The airport is about 5kms away from the apartment. The best way to get there is by taxi (€8 to €10). Some taxi drivers are not honest and they charge tourists €25. To avoid this simply ask the price before you get in and if the price doesn't confirm, then choose another taxi. Another tip is to get a taxi at the Departures section instead of the Arrivals (it's a small airport, both sections are close).
