Description:The pictures speak for them self... This beautiful bungalow has everything you need for a short stay or an extended stay. We are 200 meters from the water and one of the best surf spots in the world that has perfect waves up to 300 days a year. It is in the top ten of surf spots in the world (Pass of Haapiti, Moorea). The bungalow is completely mosquitoes screened, ceiling fans, floor fans, a screened in patio, full kitchen with microwave, linens changed on request, bikes (rental), kayaks (rental), and WiFi internet for purchase. The nearest beach is a short 10 minute bike ride away (Pineapple beach) and you have FULL access to all four of the 5 star resort hotels on the island (this means that you can use their pool, beach, bar, restaurants and so on) We have three stores that prepared food daily in the morning, a rolling restaurant in the evenings, and the best pizza take away in Moorea is only 20 minutes by bike. This beautiful space has everything you need to enjoy your time on the island. It is its own separate bungalow complete with a walk in shower and outside patio to have dinner. There is a large couch for the TV area as well as a complete kitchen with stove, refrigerator, pots, pans, and dishes. Once you arrive you will have everything you need from a sitting area outside to a beautiful reading area in your bedroom. There is plenty of organizational space to move in and stay for extended periods of time. Description:Lay in your king sized bed and watch the crystal clear Caribbean Sea. Sit on your patio and you can observe the pool, charter fishing boats waiting for customers, dive boats preparing to set out along with swimmers and snorkelers. You will have a fully equipped kitchen that has been recently re-tiled. There is an oversized shower and a new air conditioner. No internet. You are within day trip distance of the TULUM, COBA, CHICHEN ITZA, and MUYIL Ruins. Tulum is the closest at less than 15 miles and has an excellent beach at the bottom of the cliffs with ancient temples. Chichen Itza is the farthest you may want to try for a day trip and is about a 2 hour drive. In route you will pass a Mexican Prison and there is a crafts store next door that sells items the prisoners have made. The largest city you will pass thru is Valladolid. If you can find a parking space at the towns central plaza there is a hotel on the South side with a restaurant that serves excellent coffee. Admission to all ruins cost about $5 USD per person. Carry bottled water, insect repellant, suntan lotion and a head cover of some type. How to get there from the cond If you have a car head south on 307 toward Tulum. You will find the Tulum Ruin on the left as you enter Tulum. If you proceed on south from the Tulum Ruin you will find the San Francisco de Assisi grocery on the right. Turn right at the grocery and head west. You will pass thru several small Puebla’s and over many Toppes. You will come to a round-about. Here you may take the southern route to Coba or the western (straight ahead) on toward Chichen Itza. It is tempting but do not attempt both in one day. Besides Coba will still let you climb the pyramid and unless you are in shape it will be a challenge. If headed on to Chichen Itza proceed west to 180 Libre (free) I never take the toll road. Stay on 180 and watch for the Chichen Itza signage past Valladolid. There will be many native artisans on the grounds in Chichen Itza. They have fought for the right to be there on their ancestral grounds through the Mexican courts and won. There are some nice souvenirs to be found but the hawking is a distraction at times. Chichen Itza is large and impressive. The Muyil ruins are south of Tulum and are not on the same scale as the others but at the back of the ruins you will have an option to pay another fee and visit a tract of land controlled by the Houston Audubon Society. You will also be given an option at the lagoon to take a boat ride to see additional sights. Remember the round-about between Coba and Chichen Itza? If you go north on that small road it will take you to Punta Laguna Nature Reserve. It is a monkey preserve controlled by some indigenous people. It is on the left and you have to be watching, it is not well marked. You can pay a fee and a guide will take you to see either Howler or Spider monkeys depending on which they think they can find when you are there. Go early in the day and take all the things you took to the ruins. Aktunchen a Mayan name that means natural well inside a cave is located 4 km south of Akumal on the west side of 307 .One of the park main activities is a walk inside a 640 yard long dry cave, where a guide will tell you all about cave´s formation. It’s not large but fun. They have a zip line and animal exhibits. Carry some fruit to feed the deer and other wildlife. The Sian Ka’an may be accessed by turning left in Tulum at the San Francisco de Assisi grocery. Stay to the right when the road splits past the police and fire station. You will come to the entrance of the Sian Ka’an. You will have to stop for arm band passes for your party. In the language of the Mayan peoples who once inhabited this region, Sian Ka'an means 'Origin of the Sky'. Located on the east coast of the Yucatán peninsula, this biosphere reserve contains tropical forests, mangroves and marshes, as well as a large marine section intersected by a barrier reef. It provides a habitat for a remarkably rich flora and a fauna comprising more than 300 species of birds, as well as a large number of the region's characteristic terrestrial vertebrates, which cohabit in the diverse environment formed by its complex hydrological system. The Sian Ka’an is a UNESCO World Heritage Preserve. This road is rough. If you travel all the way to the end you will come to Punta Allen. It is a small fishing and crabbing village. Description:It puts up two-four persons it has two rooms for an area of 36 mq well furnished, and divided in a sitting room with a cooking corner and a two places divan, a sleeping room, bathroom with shower, a wardrobe. Outside a completely shaded patio, a built in barbecue, a private car place, an outside cabinet shower and the shadow of a gorgeous and aged old carob-tree are the outfits of the house. The, house, named ”Carob-tree House” is completely plunged in a wide land with olive-trees, citrus plantaion (orange and lemon trees), that give fresh and scenting air even in the hottest days. The sea is very near, and every one can reach it by a private street, ending in a little and not crowded bay, excellent for diving. Avola is well known for its excellent wine and its typical almond, named Pizzuta of Avola used for “granite” and sweets for the hexagonal map of the city and it has about 35000 people around the city you can find prehistoric and modern remains. The Ancient town (named Avola Antica) is a natural terrace on the wonderful Noto Gulf and Valley and Cavagrande Canyon. The Avola Promenade (1/2 miles) has a very thin and gilded sand, with degrading depths. You have a free- beach and some bathing establishments. The sea side is animated by restaurants, pizzerie and pubs. In the Old Village of Marina Vecchia there are the best fish shops and early in the morning you can buy fish directly from fishermen. The arch of the loggia of the Ancient Tonnara (now in reparation) looks like a wing that has like background the whole Avola Promenade. The beach of Eloro (7 miles) is attractive not only for its beauty, but also for its Greek and Roman archeological remains. Ancient joint of commercial business, Eloro gave the name to Elorina Way, nowadays covered by the sea. The sea side wings on a sandy depth for 2 miles, dominated by the Torre Pizzuta, whose the origin is until today disputed. The whole is formed by beaches, little coves and rocky creeks. The little mouth of Tellaro River gives an attractive scene of river michro ambient. The Vendicari natural oasis (10 miles) it’s one of the less crowded beaches of the coast as it’s not very known and as it’s rather difficult to reach. It has white sand with many small pieces of shells and crustaceans that give a solid and granulose consistence. Closed between two rocky headlands it opens in a gulf with sea water blue and transparent, where fishes come just near the beach. The name derivates from the ancient marsh, and nowadays remains a very dense vegetation of mediterranean maquis. The landscape has hollows very near to the sea, not too deep marshes, with alophile vegetation and sand dunes, covered by Mediterranean maquis. You can do “bird watching” and during the whole year you can see waders, ducks, herons and storks that stop in this oasis during the yearly migrations. There are some boxes built for the observation along the oasis. The sea water is crystalline and warm in a visitable beach long 1,5 miles about. Very close to Avola is Noto (5 miles) that has an unique architectonic landscape for the Baroque and for the typical rosed colour of the stone availed for building the city. Every corner gives a surprise. The gorgeous Cathedral with the splendid staircase, San Domenico Church, Ducezio Palace, Nicolaci Palace where everything, even the smallest one, has a baroque charm. Interesting also the city with popular quarters, Noto gives the name to the Valley that has been declared patrimony of the whole humanity. Siracusa (15 miles) is divided in the Ancient Area (the island of Ortigia) and the Modern Area. Its archeologic patrimony formed by the Holy Lucy Dome (Doric temple built on ancient settlements, Bizantin basilica, Norman Church, Renaissance and at last baroque), the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ierone Altar and the archeologic Museum “Paolo Orsi” one of the most important for Greek remains. Most important is Palazzo Bellomo and its marvellous Annunciazione by Antonello da Messina recently restored. Nearby (10 miles) is Cavagrande del Cassibile, a natural creek between two wings of calcareous stone you can reach it only by foot and this is the reason is never crowded very good for diving and snorkling from the cliff two paths lead to the Avola Seaside and the mouth of Cassibile River where you can find a beach of white sand, a very charming place, a perfect balance between river and sea landscape. You can reach also the fountain where was signed the Armistice in the Second World War, after the landing of the anglo-american troops in Sicily (September, 8 1943). The “cave” are natural cuts in the earth typical of tablelands of this country. “Cavagrande” is one of the most important, excavated by the flowing of Cassibile River in this part of Sicilian tableland. Vegetation is very rich and moisture favours orchids growth, Fauna is represented by hedgehog, weasel, dormouse, martenand, red fox.
