This large, 1925 house has been tastefully divided into three separate, private apartments, one of which we are offering as a furnished 1BR getaway. Nestled in the back of a tree-lined cul de sac, you’ll find it has a surprisingly quiet, natural feel for its central, Hollywood Hills location. Incredibly convenient if you are visiting or working in Burbank, Studio City, or NoHo, and a quick ride to downtown too. The space itself is amazing. The living room has an almost cathedral-like feel – huge and sunny with a double-height barrel ceiling, giant windows and hardwood floors. On clear days (which is almost every day in Southern California!), sunlight floods the room and makes for a truly wonderful place to relax or tweak your screenplay. The apartment is stylishly furnished and includes both wireless internet and a 37” LCD HDTV flat panel TV and DVD player. The open kitchen has everything you need to cook at home – including a microwave, four-burner gas stove, coffeemaker and toaster – and enjoy your meal at the adjacent dining table with seating for four. In the bedroom you’ll find a new, queen-sized bed with fresh cotton sheets and a fluffy comforter. The elegant, modern Design Within Reach couch in the living room also folds down into a bed, which can sleep two additional guests. We went the extra mile to add a few reflections of our own passions (design, film, literature, music) so you’ll find nice touches like framed Nama Rococo French Dot Wall Paper and Blik wall murals in addition to selection of well-chosen books, films, and great rock ‘n roll to help you feel inspired. I am close to major freeways and cross streets that can get you anywhere you need to go. For those who don’t wish to drive in LA, I am walking distance to Olympic Boulevard which is serviced by major bus lines going east and west. What is the guest house like? The guest house is a large, entirely renovated studio style apartment located on the second floor with its own outdoor patio overlooking a large flowering garden. It is completely detached from the main house ensuring total privacy and is located down a gated driveway with its own private and secure entry. The terrace faces south and is covered in flowering jasmine and bougainvillea and is perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening glass of wine under the stars. What is inside the guest house? Pleased you asked! There’s….. • a gorgeous and comfortable Queen sized bed with fresh linens. I also have a queen air mattress for those of you who don’t wish to share a bed! • a closet with hanging space for your dresses and shirts, a chest of drawers and ample space for your bags. • a beautiful marble bathroom with a large shower (no tub). • soft and fluffy hotel style towels and a hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided. • a port a crib in case you need it for your little one. • a granite kitchen with a 2 burner cook top, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator (under bench), coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, plates, glasses, cutlery etc. All of this is perfect for cooking breakfast before you head out to see LA. • free broadband internet. • a flat screen TV with Basic Cable and HBO package (PPV requires an extra charge) • air conditioning to keep you cool and heat to keep you cozy and warm. • easy, free and safe street parking on a wide quiet street right in front of the main house. What else do I need to know about the guest house before I book? THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STUFF ... • The USD85 per night does not include Los Angeles City Hotel Tax which is currently 14% of the room rate on a per night basis. You need to pay the tax separately when you arrive and I’ll deal with the hassle of paying the City. • To cover that broken plate, stray cigarette burn or any other damage, I require a USD200 security deposit. It is refundable at the end of your stay and so far I have returned everyone’s security deposit in full! • No smoking inside the guest house - but there is a lovely terrace where you may smoke outside and enjoy a view over the garden. So much nicer, don’t you think? • Please check my calendar before you book! I keep it up to date and I hate to disappoint you when you ask for dates that are already booked. I take bookings on a first come first served basis -as much as i might love you, I don't hold the space - if in doubt - please book and then cancel within a reasonable time in advance. • I love animals, but I don’t allow them in the guest house unless you arrange that with me in advance. Of course – this doesn’t apply to service animals- these guys are always welcome to stay! If you do have a service animal please note that I have 2 large Siberian Huskies who use the garden, but are both friendly. • If you don’t tell me – I can’t fix it! So speak up!!!!
