The Mariazell Statue of Grace, the Magna Mater Austriae – Magna Domina Hungarorum – Mater Gentium Slavorum, provide inspiration to pilgrims regarding the purpose of their own life's journey. The spirituality and the divine inspiration of this site, the varied landscape and the numerous leisure, cultural and sports amenities give this region its unique charm. The countryside around Mariazell is the ideal location for relaxing and recharging your batteries. Besides the many things to see and do, you can also just sit back and relax. Last year Mariazell celebrated its 850th anniversary, which was marked by the visit of Pope Benedict XVI and thousands of pilgrims and believers. It has always been a site of pilgrimage at which the European community is celebrated as the coming together of people of different languages, cultures and nations. With this in mind, why not celebrate the European idea by meeting in the Mariazell Europeum – a full-service conference and convention venue next to the basilica. Covering 4,500m² and accommodating 1,200 people. CHECK IN: Regardless of whether your participants arrive by private car or by shuttle bus, they will all be enchanted by Mariazell and the magnificence of the surrounding area. A welcome reception at which all participants receive a welcome present will take place in the traditional Raiffeisen Hall in the main square. This ceremony will be followed by a key tombola, and participants will be provided with a complete information package on Mariazell and the event itself. Participants’ luggage is delivered to the various accommodations, and we also provide a transfer shuttle for participants. KICK-OFF: The Mariazell village brass band will march out to officially welcome the participants as the key to the village is symbolically handed over to the organizers. This is followed by the start of an exciting and varied programme of events, e.g. a laser show at the Ark of the Forest on the Bürgeralpe. CONFERENCE: This place of pilgrimage in Styria now has another landmark. The Mariazell Europeum conference venue, which will be completed in October 2008, comprises four large function rooms and two seminar rooms, which are all equipped with the latest conference technology. The rooms, which also have full black-out facilities, provide participants with a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. The Mariazell Europeum also boasts a 700 m² terrace, which is ideal for receptions, car shows and the like, and which is transformed into an ice rink in winter. The heart of the Europeum is the 1,400 m² conference area, which combines the restored building and the modern complex in perfect architectural symbiosis. The new construction blends harmoniously with the traditional buildings and grounds of Mariazell. Further conference venues are offered by hotels in the vicinity. ACTIVITES: The valley station of the Mariazell Bürgeralpe is situated right next to the Europeum. The Mariazell Bürgeralpe is a family-friendly skiing area for people of all ages. The heavenly winter landscape of the Mariazell region is perfect for winter walks, snowshoe trekking, sledging and curling. In summer, you can also enjoy and discover this wonderful countryside on your mountain bike, swimming in Lake Erlauf, diving, fly fishing or on the giant scooter course. Mariazell has a lot to offer besides sports. For example, you can visit the Pirker Family and watch how they make traditional gingerbread and distil schnapps. You can also learn some of the secrets of the famous Mariazell Magenlikör digestif at the Arzberg Distillery. If you like it more homey, why not spend an evening in the traditional Sebastiani loggers' cabin and feast on Sterz (a thick type of polenta) and Erdäpfelspatzen (potato noodles). The wellness centre with its panoramic view from the Ötscher to the Hochschwab mountains invites you to wind down and relax. The wellness landscape (800 m²) comprises a pool as well as sauna, beauty and massage areas. FINALE: Lantern procession via the observatory to the Mariazell Bürgeralpe. Gala dinner and, as a highlight of the evening, the dazzlingly perfect Mariazell Mountain Wave (light, laser, sound and water show) on Austria's highest-altitude stage on the lake. CHECK OUT: Departure day begins with brunch accompanied by pleasant jazz music in the historic Scherfler Hall, where you can take a final look out over the Hochschwab and Ötscher mountains. Description:That Place is a completely self catering house:- three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge/dining room & kitchen. There 's Dstv (in case of important sporting or cultural events!), dvd 's, music, lots of books and plenty of games and teddies and toys and a great dress-up box for the children. It also has a super outside place to braai and it 's own swimming pool and sauna. And lovely views over the valley across to the elephant sanctuary. n nThere are two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom which is a kingsize double and the children 's room which is twin bedded, and one bedroom downstairs (also twin bedded), tucked away under the house. Both bathrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, and the second bathroom, has a shower only. n nThe garden at That Place is prolific in birdlife, so for birders, it 's a real joy. There are, occasionally, naughtly little vervet monkeys, so do keep your food inside. n nOn lovely sunny days (of which there are many) it 's perfect to sit out at your private pool, on a sunlouger absorbing the quite of the trees or the calls of the birds and hello 's of the monkeys aross the valley. n nEvenings are great fun at That Place - with the undercover barbeque area (which we call a 'Braai ')and a very long wooden table. Apart for being able to visit the elephants and walk trunk-in-hand with them there is also Monkeyland which hosts 17 different species roaming free in their 14 hectare sanctuary, then right next door is The Birds of Eden, the largest free-flight sanctuary in the world! Closeby in Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre with their beautiful cats - cheetahs, leopards, caracals, servals, meerkats - and Earl the hilarious Marbou Stork. You can even spend a most informative hour with the snakes and crocodiles at Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary. Plus there are those glorious golden sandy beaches at Nature 's Valley, Keurbooms and Plettenberg Bay. Climing the oak staircase to the first floor of the self catering gite you will find a large, rear facing (West) double bedroom with chesnut floor and high ceiling with original oak beams. At the front is second double bedroom leading to a third bedroom which is a favourite with children of all ages, where one wall is replaced by sliding safety glass doors from floor level (with appropriate security railing on the outside). I offer for you free private parking places and beautiful rooms with free Wi-Fi so you can also be coneccted if you need work , check some emails or (website hidden) :) feel free to do it! Willa Kronenbergow was built in 1927, is located in a peaceful, green part of Kraków, just 4 tram stops from the Kraków Główny Railway Station. Wawel Castle is 30 minutes’ walk away. At the Willa Kronenbergów guest house, guests can choose from colourful rooms with private or shared facilities and apartments with a fully quipped kitchenette , so if need prepare something to eat, that is no problem! The Willa features a common kitchen, equipped with a cooker, dishwasher, toaster, pots, cutlery and plates. There is also a TV, 2 large tables and a terrace at guests’ for your disposal. Description:Stangenrod is a 450-strong village, which now belongs to the community of Green Mountain. It is surrounded by fields, woods and meadows on a small hill, and who are a bit familiar, even some lakes found nearby. From casting Stangenrod is about 20 km, 80 km from Frankfurt and Kassel 120 km. The village has two restaurants, a gymnasium, a cell phone and lots of nice people. Anyone wishing to use the gym, must deny this before with the community. Our house is the former School of Stangenrod and was built around 1900 and 1954 provided with an extension. Since 1978, we rent them daily and weekly basis to groups and associations. The house has showers, toilets and wash rooms and a spacious kitchen. The former teacher's apartment, together with five rooms for sleeping and dining area is a closed unit. In the attic there are three additional bedrooms and toilet and shower. The ground floor has two large multi-purpose rooms with about 40 sqm and 60 sqm for dinners, and sleeping days. Overall, the house up to 30 overnight guests. Our pride and joy is the expansion of the basement with shower room and sauna. Heating is the house with central heating, hot water is there in all sanitary spaces. The phone is also accessible with the used units are then charged with the rent (EUR 0.10 per unit). The furnishings of the establishment is simple but variable, except for some mattresses bunk beds are willing to lie. Chairs and tables we have also ... For sports lovers and those who want to be there, standing in the basement of a ping-pong and table soccer equipment. Our house is designed for self / made.
