Description:No idea if anyone would like to come to Upper Silesia (Poland), but if yes... I'm on holidays 28 January-11 February 2012 so my apartment will be available. It's a regular flat in a post-communistic block of flats made in the beginning of 1980's. 50 square meters, so 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, one bathroom with toilet and a living room with balcony. 3rd floor, no elevator. What else... No land-line phone, internet access (broadband), computer, TV (just few basic channels as I don't watch TV.), DVD, stereo. I doubt there will be any offers so no pictures. If there's anybody interested of course I'll make photos. The one and only advantage of this place is its location. Near important routes the S1 fast route and A4 highway, 15 minutes to centre of Katowice, major city in 5 million Silesia region. Also about 30 minutes to Gliwice, 45 to Kraków, historical city and most popular tourist destination in Poland. Only 2 hours to Wrocław!... more info >>

But in two words this is flat full of art, drawings, signatures on walls, and I will be glad if my wall will have your signature as well. It's a flat you can really discover Georgia, meet neighbours which are more hospitable and friendly then you can ever imagine. Try the food and wine that has been here for generations and feel yourself like a real local person rather than a tourist. Hosting: I could easily show you around as I like to go out myself and know quite a lot about the city starting from places to go ending with nightlife and entertainment. But if I see you prefer some privacy I have another flat as well and will disappear for a few days :) You are allowed to do anything in a flat, invite friends, have a little party, if the neighbours don't complain neither do I. Description: Flat is quite big from any point of view, huge bedroom, big living room, mezzanine floor... even the hight of the ceiling is 5 meters. 4 large windows in a bedroom create very nice view of the old city. Additional: Not a WiFi but even WiMax internet which you can use home or outside the flat, take to a cafe or any place you go. Nice stereo for the music fans. Simple, but by no means boring, the walls of the quaint entrance hall are lined with paintings and drawings, which seem to be arranged almost categorically, creating a unique oceanic theme. Classic paintings of ships, boats and pebble decorated picture frames work well to highlight the impressive shell displays. Again, little trinkets dotted around do well to complete the relaxed atmosphere. Although the two bedrooms are uncluttered they are cozy and full of personality. As with the rest of the apartment, artwork hangs strikingly on the walls, with knick knacks placed among some vintage chairs or tables to add to the character. And, with the sounds of the world bustling by, one can easily slip into the dream world that this apartment so obviously represents.
