The first bedroom includes a Tudor-style reproduction coal burning stove, an early 19th century fireplace mantel, and a vanity fashioned after an English-style antique desk. nThe most prominent features in the family room are its magnificent wood surround and distressed beamed ceiling. The lounge area showcases a native-stone fireplace, curved bar with built-in refrigerator, dishwasher and freezer, hickory cabinets, pool table, and terracotta tile with heraldic tile inserts. The home theater is modeled after a Roman amphitheater with classically distressed bronzed columns and coffered-beamed ceiling. The main house is serviced by a hotel-sized elevator while the master suite is serviced by its own private elevator. nThe great room area is comprised of a living and dining room, gourmet kitchen and breakfast area, and an adjacent hearth room all of which reflect rustic old-world charm. A home office and three bedrooms suites on the main level each possess their own unique panorama of the unspoiled countryside. A ski prep room with fireplace and two powder rooms are also located on this level. The hotel-sized main elevator from the garage comes up near the kitchen where sumptuous dining and entertaining will undoubtedly take place. nThe main floor’s fireplace is surrounded by a limestone mantel imported from an old Parisian estate complete with wrought-iron brackets, oversized lanterns, hand-carved corbels from an old Brooklyn mansion, and an antique mirror from The New York Flat-Iron Building. nThe ceiling trusses were made from salvaged lumber from the Union-Pacific Railroad. The kitchen cabinets are constructed of white pine and cherry woods reminiscent of the finest Northern European furniture. Hardwood floors were generously hand-picked and fitted onsite. The charming custom details are evident throughout from the cast-iron fireplace surround to the built-in breakfast nook with its quaint French farm table. nThe study is accessed through nine-foot, custom French doors fashioned from reclaimed teak wood. This room also features wainscoting, pecan and hickory hardwood floors, a French antique limestone mantel, and a suspended stained-glass ceiling salvaged from a church designed by the world-renown Rudy Brothers. nThe ski-prep room features a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, built-in seating, ski lockers and hidden flat-screen TV. One step beyond your door onto the heated walkway will bring you seconds closer to the outdoor hot tub with built-in surround-sound and room enough for the entire family. It is also here where one can access the world’s first private gondola a mere fifty feet from the ski prep room. nTo access the uppermost level, where the master suite reigns, one either ascends the solid Douglas fir staircase leading to a curved balcony overlooking the entire entry and great room living spaces below, or rides the private elevator located in the foyer. Upon entering the suite one is greeted by the extensive detail reflected in the soaring vaulted ceilings with open-beam construction. nTo your right there is a charming Ingle Nook with a cozy fireplace and built-in seating that acts as an extension to the bedroom. nThe suite’s millwork was acquired from seven different mills with imported French hardware. Finally, a highly-appointed master bath and walk-in closet pamper those who are lucky enough to call Deerfield Estate home.
