Without intruding on an individual’s privacy, the house encompasses 11 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, 2 great rooms, multiple gathering/ entertainment areas, 2 separate dining areas, a 700 sq ft commercial grade gym, large steam room, full size elevator service and a large spa.Clusters of two to four bedrooms surround small sitting areas, allowing a few members of the family to get together in intimate settings. Many spaces within the house give you the feeling as if you were in a house within a house. It’s very cozy, yet it can accommodate a large group of people without feeling crowded.To the west, the dining room looks out over a 20’ high stone and iron sculpture. The kitchen and sunroom to the south have fabulous morning sun and views down valley. The Master Suite is accessed from the Great Room to the north…. Lush fabrics, vaulted ceiling and old world plaster fireplace give it a distinctive European flair. Descending into the wine cellar, circular stone walls, winding stairways and iron sconces mimic a medieval dungeon, all part of the adventure.In the north wing, the 4 bedroom Suites upstairs take on a distinctly alpine feeling as does the North Great Room and dining area with its stone and iron fireplace and views of the north valley and Baldy. Operated in the mid 20th century by La Turca, a big Turkish looking woman with large black hair that spiraled from her head, “Casa de la Turca” closed in the early 1960’s following many scandals. Today, the old Bordello House, a beautiful remnant of the past and now called CASA DE LA NOCHE, provides a pleasant colonial space and rich atmosphere of friendship for your San Miguel experience. DESCRIPTION OF HOUSE: A beautiful house with sleeping accommodation for groups or individuals (up to 26to 30 people), flexibly organized into clusters of rooms and suites. They can suggest interesting trips to explore Grenada. You can visit picturesque towns (St George’s around the harbour is reckoned to be the best in the Caribbean), see how the island's spices are processed, and tour an organic chocolate factory. For those interested in snorkeling, apart from snorkeling around Cabier’s reef, Bruno will help you explore the still pristine reefs on our east coast. We can organize sailing tours (reserve when you book) and local boat trips. For the more active guests there is cliff top walking and many nature trails. Enjoy a nature walk with a guide and experience the unique beauty of unspoiled beaches, waterfalls (even swim in them) and the tropical forest with its cinnamon, nutmeg and cacao trees with colourful birds and butterflies. Bruno offers cooking workshops for guests who are interested in Creole and Caribbean cuisine. For those interested in diving and exploring Grenada’s reefs and wrecks, we have an arrangement with ScubaTech PADI dive shop at Prickly Bay where you can also take lessons. In this still undeveloped part of the island you can have friendly contact with local families and enjoy ‘liming’ on the beach with them at weekends, even joining in with West Indian style beach cricket or go up the road to Crochu cricket club and watch a game.
