Handicap Access This home is fairly accessible for those with limited mobility since there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level. The main entrance has 2 steps to enter the home. Once you are on the main level, there is a living room, TV, kitchen, dining area, BBQ, and 55 foot deck with amazing views. Layout You walk in the front door and straight ahead is the large living room with lots of comfy couches, table seating for 6 and a TV with DirecTV, DVD player. Next to the TV is a wood burning stove and we provide the wood. It is very rare to find homes in Tahoe with real wood burning stoves and fireplaces since a rule came out over 6 years ago that fireplaces must be removed when a home is sold. I bought this house before that rule so I am able to keep the wood stove and fireplace. There are large double paned windows facing the mountain and meadows in this room. The sliding glass door leads you out to the large 55 foot deck with picnic table seating for 18 and a high quality BBQ. The views of the mountains and meadow are amazing and you can see coyotes, birds, chipmunks and sometimes a beaver running around. On the right side of the deck is a door that leads into the master suite with a queen bed, seating, and ensuite bathroom. You can also enter this private master suite through the garage. Off of the upstairs living room is a hallway which leads you to a bathroom with a shower/tub on the left, a queen bedroom on the right, a king bedroom on the right and then a second master bedroom on the left with a king bed, TV, DirecTV service, and a private bathroom with shower. Off of the upstairs living room is the open kitchen and dining seating for 12. The kitchen was recently remodeled with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new sink. Continue through the kitchen and walk down the stairs to the lower level. You will enter the billiards room with a large pool table. On the right are three bedrooms with queen beds. After you pass the billiards room, there is a large bathroom on the left with a shower. Continue down the hallway and you will enter the great room with a large TV with DirecTV, DVD player, DVD library, wet bar, bar stools, shuffleboard table, large cozy fireplace and I provide the wood. Pass this room and you will enter the sunroom. There is a ping pong table, couches and great views. To the right is a large bedroom with 3 full beds. There is a sliding glass door that leads outside to the hot tub. This hot tub was recently purchased and has lots of jets. Around the corner from the hot tub is the wood room. The driveway can fit 4 cars and 2 cars can fit in the garage. In the garage is a storage room for skis, boards, poles, boots, etc. Snow Removal I have a company that plows the driveway when there is more than 5 inches of snow. It is a typical house in 'the campo' where nature lovers can enjoy the quiet country atmosphere. The swimming pool, Jacuzzi, central heating in the living room and floor heating in the two main bedrooms are small luxuries that add to the rural living style. So don't expect a luxurious holiday mansion but enjoy the advantages of the quiet countryside, where you can be completely on your own. The house has been built ten years ago and recently an extra floor and an annex have been added. With three double bedrooms it sleeps six persons. Because of the hilly area and the swimming pool, the house seems less appropriate for children under six years old. On the upper floor, the spacious main bedroom has a double bed, washstand, picture windows and doors opening to a large terrace with stunning mountains views. The second bedroom has two single beds and the new bathroom next door, with washstand, bath and toilet. The bedrooms have floor heating for the cold times. Downstairs, a second bathroom has another toilet, a wash basin and an unusual semi-circular shower. While showering one can admire the view over the mountains and the village of Mecina. Description:Nestled in four acres in a tranquil hillside position and surrounded by woodland, farms and orchards with panoramic views of the Quercy countryside, the farmhouse, built in 1700, and the barn have been tastefully restored using traditional methods both properties have the wonderful white stone walls and beamed ceilings characteristic of the area, and are beautifully furnished. Roquecor (2km) has a restaurant and shops and Montaigu de Quercy (5km) has a larger range of shops and restaurants and leisure lake, with swimming, boating and picnic facilities. Nearest main towns: Villeneuve sur Lot - 25 minutes. The main entrance to the house is through the large sun-room which overlooks the long stone front terrace, which has a small covered dining barn with a summer kitchen. The lovely light sun-room opens into the eat-in-kitchen that is fully equipped with electric hob, oven, two fridges and a freezer. The kitchen leads into the spacious comfortable sitting and dining room that has a central wood burning stove, telephone, and a door also leading onto the front terrace, that is ideal for alfresco meals. Sleeping six it is ideal for families or groups of friends wishing to explore the area. nEllwood House is an 18th century stone built cottage located in an elevated position in the village of Caldbeck in the northern fells of the Lake District with open views to the rear of the house. High Pike can be seen immediately due south of the cottage in the picturesque expanse known colloquially as 'Back o' Skiddaw'. Just 100 yards across the field below you will find Gill Beck which runs through the village with a footpath just behind. The area is great for exploring on foot or bike, and the Cumbria Way and Reivers Route both pass through the village. For those who still have energy left from walking the fells, tennis courts are available for booking just 200 metres away.
