There is a large fireplace in the downstairs living room and a wood burning stove in the upstairs living room. I provide wood for the guests too. Even though this home has a cabiny feel, it has all the amenities you need in a vacation home along with many upgrades. Handicap Access This home is fairly accessible for those with limited mobility since there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level. The main entrance has 2 steps to enter the home. Once you are on the main level, there is a living room, TV, kitchen, dining area, BBQ, and 55 foot deck with amazing views. Layout You walk in the front door and straight ahead is the large living room with lots of comfy couches, table seating for 6 and a TV with DirecTV, DVD player. Next to the TV is a wood burning stove and we provide the wood. It is very rare to find homes in Tahoe with real wood burning stoves and fireplaces since a rule came out over 6 years ago that fireplaces must be removed when a home is sold. I bought this house before that rule so I am able to keep the wood stove and fireplace. There are large double paned windows facing the mountain and meadows in this room. The sliding glass door leads you out to the large 55 foot deck with picnic table seating for 18 and a high quality BBQ. The views of the mountains and meadow are amazing and you can see coyotes, birds, chipmunks and sometimes a beaver running around. On the right side of the deck is a door that leads into the master suite with a queen bed, seating, and ensuite bathroom. You can also enter this private master suite through the garage. Off of the upstairs living room is a hallway which leads you to a bathroom with a shower/tub on the left, a queen bedroom on the right, a king bedroom on the right and then a second master bedroom on the left with a king bed, TV, DirecTV service, and a private bathroom with shower. Off of the upstairs living room is the open kitchen and dining seating for 12. The kitchen was recently remodeled with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new sink. Continue through the kitchen and walk down the stairs to the lower level. You will enter the billiards room with a large pool table. On the right are three bedrooms with queen beds. After you pass the billiards room, there is a large bathroom on the left with a shower. Continue down the hallway and you will enter the great room with a large TV with DirecTV, DVD player, DVD library, wet bar, bar stools, shuffleboard table, large cozy fireplace and I provide the wood. Pass this room and you will enter the sunroom. There is a ping pong table, couches and great views. To the right is a large bedroom with 3 full beds. There is a sliding glass door that leads outside to the hot tub. This hot tub was recently purchased and has lots of jets. Around the corner from the hot tub is the wood room. The driveway can fit 4 cars and 2 cars can fit in the garage. In the garage is a storage room for skis, boards, poles, boots, etc. Snow Removal I have a company that plows the driveway when there is more than 5 inches of snow. Remember to bring chains when traveling in the Sierras and bring extra food and water in your car.... more info >>

Description:Imagine a place that was brilliantly designed and a real gem. Sounds pretty intriguing, right? Well, you 'll find that those are the exact words used to describe this vacation rental in France by previous guests who just loved it! Bordering the Dronne River, this self-catering accommodation near Chenaud has a peaceful and pleasant setting in the beautiful countryside. Incredible, stunning, and lovingly restored, this is just the place to spend the holidays in France! n n2.6 hectares (6.4 acres): The chateau was built in the 17th century, with the foundation dating back to 1090. In the 18th and 19th century the chateau was enlarged with 2 more parts. All sections are attached to each other with 3-foot thick walls. The different styles of the various constructions are visible, which lends an attractive rambling aspect to the building. For example, in the 17th century the cellar, now used for wine storage, was the kitchen. The original details are still visible. The property is accessed via a quiet little road that connects two small villages. The graveled courtyard leads to the house, barn and garden. The backyard overlooks the winding Dronne River where there is a dock (4m x 7m) where guests can sit and to enjoy the riverside and the canoes passing by. The large garden is completely private, the north, south and west sides consist of typical large French walls, the river Dronne is on the east side of the property. The south of the property has a splendid view of the 12th century Roman church of Chenaud. There is garden furniture in both sunny and shaded areas of the garden. There are huge 100-year old oak and line trees, as well as apple, peach, cherry, prune and chestnut trees. New plantain trees have been planted. At the far end of the garden is a little pond. nThe largest part of the chateau, an apartment named Silver Truffle, was built in the 18th century, and the second unit, La Floreale, dates back to the 17th century. Both sections are tastefully decorated with antique and exquisite fabrics, combined with pieces of modern European art. All bedrooms (except the two in La Floreale) still have the original fireplaces, but due to safety reasons they are not useable. The 19th century part is still under restoration and in use by the owners. Beside the main house is a large barn with two towers and an old well. La Vesunna is an apartment in the barn, which has been beautifully restored and decorated. n nSilver Truffle (275m2): nGround floor: One enters the entrance hall with floor tiles and wooden beams from the 17th century. From this hall one can access the living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom with a washing machine and dryer. The living area includes a large fireplace (wood is available for an extra cost), a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and comfortable seating close to the fireplace. The decor is a combination of antique and modern art. The bedroom has a king-size bed (or twin beds, depending upon the preference), 300-year old oak floors, built-in electronic safe, and a small wash basin. The bathroom, separate from the bedroom, has a WC, shower, sink, washing machine and dryer, and radiant floor heating. nFirst floor: From the hall there is access to the 300-year old staircase to the first floor. From the landing there is a wonderful view over the Dronne River. From here there are three spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom, with a safari theme, has a king-size bed, and an en suite bathroom with a WC, circle-shaped shower, sink and floor heating. This bedroom also has a built-in electronic safe. The second bedroom, decorated in red, has twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed upon request, and an en suite bathroom with WC, shower and sink. There is a built-in electronic safe. The third bedroom has twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed upon request, and an en suite bathroom with WC, shower, sink and radiant floor heating. The bedroom has a built-in electronic safe. There is central heating and each radiator can be individually adjusted. nLa Floreale (120m2): nGround floor: On the ground floor is the living area, including a living/dining room, kitchen an entrance hall and guest bathroom. From the entrance hall one can access the guest bathroom with a WC and sink, as well as the washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board (located in a closet). Also from the entrance one can access the living/dining room and the fully equipped kitchen. The living room is the oldest part of the chateau, dating back to 1626. The living/dining room decor is modern with antique elements and the room features a wood stove with the furniture surrounding the stove. From the kitchen you can access a large balcony where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun. There is a built-in electronic safe. nFirst floor: A staircase goes to the first floor, where there are two double bedrooms, each with king-size beds (or twin beds, depending upon the preference). There are two en suite bathrooms, each with a shower, sink and WC. There is central heating. nLa Vesunna (90m2): nGround floor: This accommodation is in the old barn. Close to the south west Wales coastline, Dan-y-Cwarrre is perfect for family holidays and celebrations. Perfectly located close to the fine sandy beaches of Pembrey Country Park. The Gower Peninsular is 40 minutes away and Pembrokeshire is an hours drive away with little fishing villages, more sandy beaches and Oakwood (Wales' Alton Towers). The new Welsh race course Ffos Las is close by as are Pembrey Motorsports centre, fine golf courses, fishing and horse riding. Bedrooms: Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 are all large family rooms with double bed, 2 single beds and hand basins. Bedroom 4 & 5 are large rooms with 3 single beds Bedroom 6 has bunk beds. Bedrooms 1,4 & 5 are en-suite. Bedroom 5 is downstairs. Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: All bed linen and towells are provided, although we would ask that guests supply their own beach towels. The property is cleaned thoroughly and bedding and towels changed after each letting. Highchair and travel cot available for guests use. We allow a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs. Accessibility We have a downstairs bedroom with en-suite shower room suitable for guests with limited mobility. Outside Set in 18 acres including 5 acres of woodland there is plenty of space to explore. There is a large trampolene for use by guests at their own risk. Notes on prices Reduced prices for unbooked dates in Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec are now offered. £450 for 3 night weekend or 4 night midweek break, £700 for 7 nights. For guests who use a wheelchair, we have a ground-floor accessible bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge, terrace and garden. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished, with original wood flooring. There are a total of13 beds, plus 2 folding campbeds and 3 baby cots. All of the beds are singles (or we can put them together to make doubles), making sleeping arrangements really easy for mixed groups of friends and families. Five of the bedrooms have brand new, private ensuite bathrooms / shower-rooms. We also provide many bulky items to make holidaying with young children easier e.g. baby cots, high chairs, cutlery, baby swing, toys, changing mat and table. The cosy lounge has satellite television, DVD (plus large collection of films), 2 double sofa beds and free wifi internet connection. The french windows ensure more lovely views of the open countryside at the rear of the house. The well-equipped kitchen adjoins the lounge and was designed with large groups in mind . Large, private garden and dining terrace.... Although the house is in the heart of a village with shops and restaurants, you will have the best of both worlds. The attractive terrace is a wonderful location for a cool, relaxing drink on a warm evening. There is also an enormous barbecue for alfresco dining! There are reclining seats, 2 large dining tables / benches and even a parasol if you need some more shade.
