There is a large fireplace in the downstairs living room and a wood burning stove in the upstairs living room. I provide wood for the guests too. Even though this home has a cabiny feel, it has all the amenities you need in a vacation home along with many upgrades. Handicap Access This home is fairly accessible for those with limited mobility since there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level. The main entrance has 2 steps to enter the home. Once you are on the main level, there is a living room, TV, kitchen, dining area, BBQ, and 55 foot deck with amazing views. Layout You walk in the front door and straight ahead is the large living room with lots of comfy couches, table seating for 6 and a TV with DirecTV, DVD player. Next to the TV is a wood burning stove and we provide the wood. It is very rare to find homes in Tahoe with real wood burning stoves and fireplaces since a rule came out over 6 years ago that fireplaces must be removed when a home is sold. I bought this house before that rule so I am able to keep the wood stove and fireplace. There are large double paned windows facing the mountain and meadows in this room. The sliding glass door leads you out to the large 55 foot deck with picnic table seating for 18 and a high quality BBQ. The views of the mountains and meadow are amazing and you can see coyotes, birds, chipmunks and sometimes a beaver running around. On the right side of the deck is a door that leads into the master suite with a queen bed, seating, and ensuite bathroom. You can also enter this private master suite through the garage. Off of the upstairs living room is a hallway which leads you to a bathroom with a shower/tub on the left, a queen bedroom on the right, a king bedroom on the right and then a second master bedroom on the left with a king bed, TV, DirecTV service, and a private bathroom with shower. Off of the upstairs living room is the open kitchen and dining seating for 12. The kitchen was recently remodeled with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new sink. Continue through the kitchen and walk down the stairs to the lower level. You will enter the billiards room with a large pool table. On the right are three bedrooms with queen beds. After you pass the billiards room, there is a large bathroom on the left with a shower. Continue down the hallway and you will enter the great room with a large TV with DirecTV, DVD player, DVD library, wet bar, bar stools, shuffleboard table, large cozy fireplace and I provide the wood. Pass this room and you will enter the sunroom. There is a ping pong table, couches and great views. To the right is a large bedroom with 3 full beds. There is a sliding glass door that leads outside to the hot tub. This hot tub was recently purchased and has lots of jets. Around the corner from the hot tub is the wood room. The driveway can fit 4 cars and 2 cars can fit in the garage. In the garage is a storage room for skis, boards, poles, boots, etc. Snow Removal I have a company that plows the driveway when there is more than 5 inches of snow. Description:Imagine a place that was brilliantly designed and a real gem. Sounds pretty intriguing, right? Well, you 'll find that those are the exact words used to describe this vacation rental in France by previous guests who just loved it! Bordering the Dronne River, this self-catering accommodation near Chenaud has a peaceful and pleasant setting in the beautiful countryside. Incredible, stunning, and lovingly restored, this is just the place to spend the holidays in France! n n2.6 hectares (6.4 acres): The chateau was built in the 17th century, with the foundation dating back to 1090. In the 18th and 19th century the chateau was enlarged with 2 more parts. All sections are attached to each other with 3-foot thick walls. The different styles of the various constructions are visible, which lends an attractive rambling aspect to the building. For example, in the 17th century the cellar, now used for wine storage, was the kitchen. The original details are still visible. The property is accessed via a quiet little road that connects two small villages. The graveled courtyard leads to the house, barn and garden. The backyard overlooks the winding Dronne River where there is a dock (4m x 7m) where guests can sit and to enjoy the riverside and the canoes passing by. The large garden is completely private, the north, south and west sides consist of typical large French walls, the river Dronne is on the east side of the property. The south of the property has a splendid view of the 12th century Roman church of Chenaud. There is garden furniture in both sunny and shaded areas of the garden. There are huge 100-year old oak and line trees, as well as apple, peach, cherry, prune and chestnut trees. New plantain trees have been planted. At the far end of the garden is a little pond. nThe largest part of the chateau, an apartment named Silver Truffle, was built in the 18th century, and the second unit, La Floreale, dates back to the 17th century. Both sections are tastefully decorated with antique and exquisite fabrics, combined with pieces of modern European art. All bedrooms (except the two in La Floreale) still have the original fireplaces, but due to safety reasons they are not useable. The 19th century part is still under restoration and in use by the owners. Beside the main house is a large barn with two towers and an old well. La Vesunna is an apartment in the barn, which has been beautifully restored and decorated. n nSilver Truffle (275m2): nGround floor: One enters the entrance hall with floor tiles and wooden beams from the 17th century. From this hall one can access the living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom with a washing machine and dryer. The living area includes a large fireplace (wood is available for an extra cost), a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and comfortable seating close to the fireplace. The decor is a combination of antique and modern art. The bedroom has a king-size bed (or twin beds, depending upon the preference), 300-year old oak floors, built-in electronic safe, and a small wash basin. The bathroom, separate from the bedroom, has a WC, shower, sink, washing machine and dryer, and radiant floor heating. nFirst floor: From the hall there is access to the 300-year old staircase to the first floor. From the landing there is a wonderful view over the Dronne River. From here there are three spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom, with a safari theme, has a king-size bed, and an en suite bathroom with a WC, circle-shaped shower, sink and floor heating. This bedroom also has a built-in electronic safe. The second bedroom, decorated in red, has twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed upon request, and an en suite bathroom with WC, shower and sink. There is a built-in electronic safe. The third bedroom has twin beds which can be made into a king-size bed upon request, and an en suite bathroom with WC, shower, sink and radiant floor heating. The bedroom has a built-in electronic safe. There is central heating and each radiator can be individually adjusted. nLa Floreale (120m2): nGround floor: On the ground floor is the living area, including a living/dining room, kitchen an entrance hall and guest bathroom. From the entrance hall one can access the guest bathroom with a WC and sink, as well as the washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board (located in a closet). Also from the entrance one can access the living/dining room and the fully equipped kitchen. The living room is the oldest part of the chateau, dating back to 1626. The living/dining room decor is modern with antique elements and the room features a wood stove with the furniture surrounding the stove. From the kitchen you can access a large balcony where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun. There is a built-in electronic safe. nFirst floor: A staircase goes to the first floor, where there are two double bedrooms, each with king-size beds (or twin beds, depending upon the preference). There are two en suite bathrooms, each with a shower, sink and WC. There is central heating. nLa Vesunna (90m2): nGround floor: This accommodation is in the old barn. La Lande Sud is a lovely spacious house offering modern living with character. The 2 acres of grounds are mainly mown grass with mature trees and shrubs, and childrens play area at the top of the drive from where there are panoramic views. Both pools are fenced for safety, and are on different levels separated by high hedges. New for 2009 was a stunning new main pool and terrace, with separate toddlers pool which is also fitted with hydro massage jets for the not so young. The pool has underwater lighting and the terrace is illuminated for evening relaxation. There is also a second 10 x 4 metre pool with sun terrace so that everyone can enjoy a quiet swim. New for 2010 - we have converted 2 upstairs bedrooms into one large new master bedroom with new en suite bathroom, and panoramic views on 3 sides. Total capacity therefore is reduced to 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, but with upgraded facilities. Also new for 2010 is a full size pool table in TV/games room, and air hockey and table football in poolside games room. Situated in a perfect setting on a hillside with panoramic views of the valley and hills beyond (see below), the property is close to the small hamlets of Bouteilles St Sebastien, St Paul Lizonnne and Palluaud which have restaurants and bars. It is also 5 kms from St Severin and Verteillac, which have a wide range of shops and amenities. The old market towns of Riberac and Aubeterre are approximately 15 minutes away the Friday market in Riberac is reputedly the largest in Perigord. The house was built in the mid 80s in the Perigordine style using old materials where possible, and combines the best of modern facilities with traditional style. The approach to the house is from a small lane at the top of the hill. The driveway goes down the hill to the house through extensive grounds which are mainly laid out to mature trees and shrubs, and features a childrens play area. Description:Pian Di Cascina (Sleeps up to 30 guests) is a traditionally restored 400-year-old Umbrian stone farmstead, set in 20 acres of private, idyllic countryside. An oasis of rest and relaxation, in the midst of olive groves, fig, walnut and oak trees. At an altitude of 600m, you can experience a moderate, more refreshing climate, even on a hot summer's day. The farmstead has been carefully restored with attention to detail using traditional Umbrian stone, oak beams and terracotta paving. The property is divided into 7 separate properties. Each property has its own entrance, fully equipped handmade luxury kitchen with dishwasher, double bedrooms with king sized beds, en-suite bathrooms with large luxury showers and a private terrace with gas BBQ. There is a generous 16m x 8m swimming pool with fantastic views of the Apennines and large sun terraces with shade and sun loungers. The farmstead is within walking distance (20 mins) of the village of Carbonesca, which has several bars and a shop. Living Rooms:There are 7 separate living/dining rooms. There is a very large dining room in the Villetta that can accommodate 30. There are 7 TV/DVD players, CD players and 1 wood burning stove. The living spaces are very generous. Other: The dining room in the Villetta is especially suited to large groups. It has 7m high oak beamed ceilings and tables can be arranged to seat groups of 30. The terraces can also be adapted to seat 30 for alfresco dining. Free wireless internet access. Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Towels, pool towels, bedlinen, tea towels are included in the rental price. Towels and beds are changed weekly.
