Across a small sandy lane is the beach which is only used by a few locals and by the turtles in summer when they lay their eggs and the previous year's eggs hatch out. n n The property is very quiet but is on the edge of historic Speightstown, known as Little Bristol. Speighstown was so importnat in the 17th and 18th centuries that three major forts were built to protect it from any enemy ships. At present Speightstown is the place 'to lime', which means 'to relax and have fun'. The Wicket by the beach sleeps 5 (two bedrooms, and a study/den with a futon and three bathrooms). It has a good seaview. The property is on two floors, with utilty room, study/ den, and one en-suite bedroom on the lower floor. Mahogany stairs lead to the master bedoom with en-suite bathroom and a safe. There is an enourmous living area with a high vaulted ceiling. The lounge area has a comprehensive entertainment centre and free wireless internet. The new luxury-fitted kitchen has special features including breakfast bar, teppanyaki plate and nespresso coffee maker. There is a dining area which seats six. nThe west facing terrace is equipped with an electric grill, another dining table, wicker chairs and loungers from which is is easy to watch the spectacular Caribbean sunsets. n nLess than 5 minutes walk to genuine Bajan bars, street market, bakery, a small range of shops and restaurants.
