Description:This cedar-clad cabin in Central Ontario is surrounded by bucolic countryside and offers the wilds of a remote nature preserve. It is a very comfortable on-grid cabin, light, airy, and modern, yet peaceful, quiet, and private. It is winterized and open year-round. You'll only be a few minutes from shops and necessities but seemingly miles from civilization. There are 50 acres in which to roam, with trails, wildlife, fields and northern ontario forest. Ideal for short or long-term job placements, artists, writers, musicians, nature lovers, birdwatchers, etc. nPlease book thru https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/694077 n nThe cabin is equipped with one open loft bedroom upstairs that has a queen bed and and a single daybed. The main floor has an open-concept kitchen and living area and measures 20' x 24'. There is a brand new SCAN scandinavian high-efficiency wood-burning stove in the kitchen, which is the main source of heat in winter. Firewood is provided. The house is fully insulated. It has hydro, washer and dryer, one full indoor bathroom, and a screened-in deck with outdoor wrap-around deck. Water is 100% potable, back-up heat includes baseboard heaters, a portable infra-red heater, and a portable oil radiator if necessary, but typically a well-maintained fire in the woodstove does the trick. nThe kitchen (see pic) is equipped with a 2-burner cooktop and small convection oven. No microwave is provided. Pots, pans, utensils, herbs they are on Fido and Rogers, and new towers have recently been installed in the township. n. nThe cabin is located on a private road just outside of Powassan, Ontario and abuts the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. There are thousands of acres of crown land nearby, yet within 10 minutes you can have access to town which has a Beer Store, LCBO, hardware, groceries, restaurants, laundromat, farmer's market, gas station, mechanics, library, tennis courts, public pool, legion hall, cop-shop, and other conveniences. The grocery store in town offers a very decent selection of foods as well as organic produce. North Bay is only 30kms away should you need something from any big-box store, a movie night, or sushi. n nThe property is not on a lake but is very close to several lakes with public beaches, boat launches, and ice-fishing. There are also several extensive roads, trails and lakes throughout the crown lands next to our township which are ideal for trailriding, hiking, ATVing, and exploring. We can also hook you up with local guides who will take you out exploring. There are local dog-sledding expeditions available. nThere is a network of trails on the property (intermediate) for hiking and snowshoeing.The area has several horse riding/boarding facilities like Knowlton Ridge and Eastwood Stables. There is a cross-country ski club Wassi Ski Club (no membership req'd), and nearby there are several OFSC trails. Half of this deck is open-air and the other half is a screened-in. This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors without being bothered by mosquitos. The upper level also contains two bedrooms,a master bedroom with a king-sized bed and ensuite two-piece bathroom. The second bedroom contains a queen bed. Water depth is 3-4 feet. There is also a sand play area and swing for the kids' enjoyment. Miller Lake is a large, clean, freshwater lake located at the centre of the Bruce Peninsula. The lake has excellent fishing for bass, perch, pike and pickerel. Boat rentals are available at the lake. The lake's central location places it close to many attractions on the Bruce. Excellent hiking on the Bruce Trail is only 6 km away. Nationally renowned Lark Whistle Gardens is also close by. Boat Rentals are available at the lake and in Tobermory, which is only 30 km away. Description:Cottage Profile Four bedroom, 1500 square foot, waterfront cottage with western exposure located directly west of Lion's Head on the shores of Lake Huron. The main living area of the cottage is a large space with features such as a big screen television with satellite, a VCR, and DVD player, and a woodstove. A leather couch and two chairs provide a comfortable place to unwind after a busy day outside. Sliding doors lead from this room out to the deck which provides a view of Lake Huron. The kitchen at the cottage is large and fully equipped with all the necessary amenties as well a few extras. A stainless steel fridge, stove and microwave, as well as a dishwasher are provided along with a refrigerated water cooler. A large table with bench seating provides plenty of space for everyone in the group to enjoy meals together. French doors lead from this room out to a covered porch. Here you'll find a patio table and chairs which, combined with a porch swing, make this a great place for both outdoor meals and relaxing in the evening. There are four bedrooms at the cottage, and plenty of space to sleep everyone in the party comfortably. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second and third bedrooms each have a double bed, and the fourth bedroom offers bunkbeds with a single on top and futon on the bottom, as well as a single bed. The one bathroom at the cottage is a four piece with both a shower/tub combination. The living area of the cottage is expanded by the many things to do outside of the cottage. There is an outdoor firepit for the family to gather around for marshmallows and ghost stories. There is also an impressive, covered outdoor BBQ and kitchen area available for your use, allowing you to create delicious meals outside even if it's raining. The lot on which the cottage is located is flat and gradually slopes down to the lake. Description:We offer a two story cabin for rent on a nightly, weekly and monthly basis. It's tastefully decorated with Yukon history and art, and comes complete with a view of Crag Lake. n nCabins Over Crag Lake is located about an hour (or less) of Whitehorse, Yukon and Skagway, Alaska and we're just 12 kms from Carcross, Yukon where the White Pass & Yukon Route Trains stops on the shores of beautiful and historic Bennet Lake. n nCabin #1 has a queen bed upstairs and the bathroom Downstairs has a queen futon and full kitchen including a full sized fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and all the necessary cooking needs. As well, old mining roads abound with opportunity to get off the beaten path and the water opportunities here are endless. Bennett, Tagish, Marsh & Atlin Lakes are all within easy reach and offer hundreds of miles to explore. As well, there are numerous smaller lakes nearby, both (some stocked) for fishing or canoeing.
