Description:The house is located on the Puntarenas peninsular, right on the estuary in the Cocal neighbourhood, a 10 minute drive east of downtown, a 2 minute walk across the football field to the Pacific beach and a 3, 4 or 5 minute walk west of the Hotel Portobello, Puerto Azul complex and the Yacht Club. The property backs onto a tidal river, with mangroves on the far bank, with an estuary room and jetty - great for fishing, bird-watching and relaxing. An inner open area with barbecue gives onto a tiled patio and the main-house consists of a bathroom, kitchen, living area, double bedroom and storage room, which can double as a spare single-room. We have a double-bed in the front bedroom and 2 single beds, which can be used in the big open-plan living space in the main house, or in the estuary-room (if, like us, you like to sleep where you can see the stars!). There is a small front garden, with space for off-road private parking in front of the banana-tree. It's a 5 minute walk to the Mar y Mar supermarket or a 10 minute drive or bus-ride to down-town Puntarenas, where there are banks, P.O., shops, a fresh-produce market and the Paseo de las Turistas beach promenade, to sit and enjoy a milk-shake or ice-cream. Bus-stop at 50m. from the house. Approx. 1½ hours west of San Jose and 1 hr south of Liberia.
