Description:Villa Valentina is set in an elevated position on the outskirts of the tiny village of Ratzakli between the resorts of Katelios and Skala. Views from the balconies and terrace areas are breathtaking, with the nearby island of Zakynthos surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea stretching across the horizon in front of you. nSet in its own private and gated grounds, the closest neighbour being in the nearby village of Ratzakli, this is the perfect location for those wanting seclusion but still within easy driving distance of restaurants and shops. nThe villa itself is built over three levels. The open plan split level living area has a fully fitted modern kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you would need. There is also dining area with table and chairs. Also on this level is a shower room and a double bedroom with ample wardrobe space. Steps from the dining area lead down to the lounge which is on the lower level. This is comfortably furnished and also has a TV and DVD player. n nUpstairs there are two further twin bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, the other with an ensuite bathroom with 3/4 bath and shower over. n nAll of the bedrooms and the lounge areas have large patio doors leaving onto either a terrace or balcony with table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy the views. The landscaped gardens are mainly laid to lawn with plentiful flower beds containing a variety of shrubs and plants, and there is a separate garage in the grounds where you will find a washing machine. n nThe large pool terrace with its private 11 x 5m pool is a great place to relax and unwind, with amazing views out to sea. There are loungers and umbrellas here, and also a hydrotherapy massage jet in the pool if you are not quite relaxed enough. For the 2013 season a newly brick built barbecue has also been erected to the side of the villa. n nJust below the Villa is the beautiful long sandy beach of Kaminia. It is around a 2 minute drive downhill. It is walkable and would take about 40 minutes, however the road is very steep and windy so will take much longer coming back up and may not be suitable for everyone. This beach is relatively unspoilt and rarely gets busy even in high season. There are a couple of cantinas selling drinks, snacks and ice creams throughout the day and you can hire sunbeds and umbrellas. The beach itself is very gently shelving into the sea, making it perfect for children and adults. It is also the nesting site for the protected Loggerhead Turtles who come back every year to lay their eggs in the soft sand. n nA 2 minute drive west along the coast will bring you to the laid back resort of Katelios. Reknowned for its fresh fish, you will find many restaurants along the beach front boasting fresh fish caught that very morning often by the restaurant owner! The beach is also gently shelving and sandy with sunbeds and umbrellas and motorboat hire. n n5 minutes by car in the other direction and you will come to the more bustling resort of Skala, which has a large choice of restaurants, cafc3a9 bars, gift shops and supermarkets together with a fairly laid back nightlife.
