Description:Mahalo nui loa - I can not explain in words how fantastic our stay was at your Hale. I would love to speak with you over the phone and share with you some of the great things we did. Merrie Monarch was incredible and our guests loved the Hale as well. A hui hou - KawikaE komo mai. Welcome to Paradise. Our Hale and detached studio Ohana (separate guest house) are located on a private road in the beautiful Leilani Estates Subdivision on a secluded one acre lot, offering the perfect location to enjoy all that the Big Island of Hawaii has to offer. Perfect for a couple or up to 4 people, we offer Hale Lezarde with Master Suite including a king sized bed and a jetted tub in the master bath, and a queen sized bed in the second bedroom with its own full bath. Hale Lezarde has a comfortable split floor plan for privacy, with a large, open living room, wood burning fireplace, dining area and a spacious kitchen. A large, island style screened in lanai is located off the kitchen for dining or relaxing. The detached studio Ohana (separate Guest House) is separated from the main house by a covered outdoor breezeway and offers private accommodation for up to 4 additional people in one open space, with a twin over double bed bunk and a full size futon. The Ohana has a kitchenette with refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and microwave and a 3/4 bathroom with shower. A perfect place for children or relatives traveling with you, the Ohana is a great way to provide for extra guests and provide more privacy for the main house. The Ohana cannot be rented separately from the main house. Hale Lezarde is set back on the lot for privacy in a beautiful rain forest setting. The secluded one acre lot is landscaped with Hapu'u ferns, Ohia trees and palm trees and abundant flowering plants including anthurium, gardenia and ginger. There are mature, producing orange trees, banana trees and avocado trees, and a papaya tree as well as coffee and pineapple plants which we invite you to enjoy in season. You will know you are in Hawaii the minute you walk onto this property! Leilani Estates Subdivision offers a community park about 2 miles from the house, with walking trails, basketball courts, a playground, and a picnic pavilion. As our guest at Hale Lezarde, you will receive complimentary access to Guide Lezarde Hawaii, with the most up to date information about the Real Hawaii. You will also have the opportunity to choose additional a la carte services of Lezarde Travel, LLC, including concierge service, assistance with travel reservations and booking and guided tours. We also provide each of our guest families with a complimentary copy of the most recent edition of The Big Island Revealed, which we consider to be the best tour guide available for the Big Island. Hale Lezarde is located 5 miles from Pahoa Town with some of the best dining on the East side of the Big Island, as well as shopping, fuel and the Sunday Farmer's Market in Pahoa Town. The Maku'u Sunday Market a short drive from Pahoa Town is a wonderful event with food, entertainment and an assortment of merchandise to appeal to every kind of shopper. Swimming and snorkeling at the world famous Kapoho Tide Pools or a soak at Ahala Nui hot pond is a 15 minute drive away, or take the 10 minute drive to Kalapana where you will find Uncle Robert's awa bar , Kalapana Cafe and the Wednesday night market with its amazing food, crafts and entertainment. Discover Volcanoes National Park and see Madame Pele in action as she continues to make new land for our beautiful Island. Visit the Lava Viewing Area the end of the road for a spectacular night view of the lava glowing as it flows down the pali. Hilo Town is a short 30 mile drive away where you can enjoy the great bargains at the Hilo Market or walk along Hilo Bay and see the Banyan Drive and Japanese Garden. Just north of HIlo, you will find beautiful Akaka Falls with a paved walkway through the lush tropical forest. Take a trip off the beaten path and discover the real Hawaii with a trip to Punau'lu's black sand beach where the Honu 'ea (Hawksbill turtles) come out on the beach to bask in the sun. A stop at the Shaka Bar, the southernmost bar in the U.S. is a great way to relax on the way back. Kick back at clothing optional Kehena Beach and enjoy the Drum Circle on Sunday night. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the property. n nc2b7The front-loading washer and dryer are quiet and do a great job. I hang dry my nicer clothes in the ocean breezes on the shady side of the house. n nc2b7Both master suites have individual oceanfront lanais and killer oceanfront views. Expensive Serta mattresses and high thread count sheets are quite comfy. There is a giant California King in one bedroom and two extra long full (queen length, full width) in the other. Each suite has its own bathroom, of course. n nc2b7One suite has a bathtub with separate shower. The other has a stall shower with ocean view. You can watch whales while you take wash off the sand from your latest beach adventure. n nc2b7Natural air-flow makes the available air conditioning and ceiling fans besides the point on most nights. But it is there if you want it. There is also a whole suite fan if AC is not your thing. n nc2b7The hot tub has lighting and a sound system and enough jets to make you hover. Its perfect for a honeymoon. Please keep it clean :) n nc2b7There is more than enough off-street parking for two cars. (I have had three in here, not including the garage that is off-limits for the time being.) n nI fish and swim and dive immediately in front. There is also a sandy beach & grass park called Pahoehoe Park less than a hundred feet away to the South where I play with my son. Pahoehoe provides snorkeling & boogie boarding & fishing & nice places to just lay around in. On Saturdays a hula halau (school) dances in the park. Another 100 feet beyond Pahoehoe is White Sands Beach. White Sands is a popular boogie boarding and volleyball site.
