Just 5 minutes walk from the cottage you'll reach Steelgrass Farm. My brother-in-law offers educational tours of his chocolate farm 3 times a week! Very informative, fun and utterly ONOlicious.....bring some dark chocolate, raw Kauai honey and vanilla beans back for the folks at home! Just 3 miles down the hill in Kapa'a town you find all the shops, restaurants and cafes you might like to visit. Right by the Moikeha canal and the historic Japanese lantern you'll see the quaint public library with internet access. Of course, there are numerous cafes as well that offer wifi: Small Town Cafe, Cafe Hemingway and Starbucks, to name a few. Don't forget to visit the Ship Store Gallery (right next to the Hemp Store), especially if you are interested in Hawaiian history. They offer history lectures on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 to 11:00 using a lot of art by famous historic maritime painter, Raymond Massey. And yes, you got to try Olympic Cafe across the road for Happy Hour on Fridays, 4 to 7, cheap beer and free tacos! That's just a few places in Kapa'a town........ The closest beach which is safe for swimming at any time is Lydgate Beach Park, right next to the Wailua River mouth. it's a 60-acre park with lots of amenities, walled seawater ponds, showers, pavilions, picnic tables, barbecue pits, playground, lifeguard station and a 2-mile-long path for walking, jogging, cycling and more.... more info >>

Description:Recently refurbished, our cozy and comfortable Hale Moi condo has king beds, carpet, paint, furnishings, linens, dishes - nearly everything! The view is to die for, the location is superb, our place is a super good value. Off the back lanai you will enjoy a breathtaking view - one direction is the famous Bali Hai and straight off the back is a waterfall view of the Namokolama mountains. A sunset over Bali Hai is really something special - no extra charge for that :) . You can begin or end each day out on the lanai with breakfast or cocktails, all while soaking up the view and tropical air (or do both, like we do)! n nThe condo is well-located in the heart of Princeville and serves as an inexpensive home base for exploring the North Shore. There are a couple secluded beaches within walking distance, and several oceanside walking/biking paths nearby (one goes right in front of the complex). Golf courses, the St Regis Hotel, shopping, spa/salon, tennis, and much more are a couple minutes away. The historic town of Hanalei, with its gorgeous crescent-shaped beach, is two miles down the road. n nOur condo has fabulous vaulted ceilings, a total of 1100 square feet and two rentable sides - a Loft side that is $89/night and Studio side that is $59 and both are $139. Pick what works best for you and book it! The Loft side has a King bed, queen bed in the loft, washer/dryer and full kitchen. The Studio side has a king bed and kitchenette (mini-fridge/microwave/toaster oven/coffee maker/crock pot/dishes). Again, most of that is brand new. Also, the BBQ grills are very nearby.
