Description:Come and see if you do not believe me and the pictures taken by photographer air bnb: this site is a corner of paradise on earth, I'm sorry for you if you do not take the opportunity to holiday in a unique place with cost so little.This refined ground floor apartment, which forms part of this wonderful traditional Italian country house, is surrounded by glorious rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards and spectacular views. Around the house covers an acre of land fenced in which we created a garden, an olive grove that produces an excellent extra virgin, strictly organic garden and a grove of tall trees. So we can enjoy tomatoes, chard, zucchini, salads of various kinds, peas, beans, broccoli and cauliflower, grapes, strawberries, depending on the season. We also collect from our belowed trees plums, peaches, apricots, apples and walnuts. The tranquil location is a heaven of peace and quiet while at the same time being very close to all amenities offered by the busy market town of Marsciano. The house is located about 12 km from the main road through the centre of Umbria linking Assisi (30 minutes), Perugia (20 minutes), Orvieto (40 minutes), Todi (15 minutes) and Spoleto (50 minutes). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FURTHER DETAILS Normally guests are welcome no earlier than 15 and check out is at 11 o'clock. A welcome pack of wine, water,milk, home made bread and oil extra virgin home produced is provided and the kitchen is supplied with basics such as tea, coffee, sugar etc. We can offer guests some extras that they not find elsewhere such as home cooked meals on arrival or during their stay. In the apartment there is internet access. Just tell us what you would like and we will do our best to provide it ,but first you must arrive... - Accessibility The apartment is on the groundfloor and is suitable for people with mobility problems but not suitable for wheelchairs. - Outside The swimming- pool (12 x 4 meters) is shared with us when we are present and is opened from early May until late September. In the garden near swimming pool there is a gazebo with iron coloured table 4 iron chairs for eating and barbecue. Around swimming-pool there are 4 comfortable sunloungers. Comfortable chairs are available for those who want to read or relax under the shade of trees. Around the property fields, groves of oaks and pines, a stream that forms a small lake, a ring of hills that lead up medieval castles, small villages with their steeples: nature and art. The beloved garden thanks us with a magnificent production of flower: among all the many varieties of roses and peonies. The wood that we planted conteins native tree species such as oaks and holm oaks, fragrant trees such as linden and many others. In twenty minutes you are on the Trasimeno lake's sandy beaches, where you can practice all water sportses - Golf 20 minutes from Perugia golf club. The Perugia Golf Club is located just 6 km from the center of the Etruscan city of Perugia. The field is a gently undulating par 72, the core of which dates from the late fifties. Location This Lucca apartment is set at 300 meters above sea level amongst olive groves and woodland. It has panoramic views of the nearby hills and farm land as well as the valley of the river Serchio. The house is located in Tramonte, a hillside area above Ponte a Moriano, its nearest town/village. Lucca town is a 10 km/ 6 miles drive away from the house. The distance to Pisa airport is approx. 35 km, whereas Florence city its famous walls enclose a place that can be walked or cycled with ease yet remains full of secrets. Lucca one of Italy's finest medieval treasures, the centre is unspoilt and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and almost countless splendid churches. The accommodation comprises of a good size lounge with sofa and dining areas, leading into a 'living' kitchen with original fireplace from where you can reach the main bedroom and bathroom across a small corridor. The lounge includes a large double pull out bed as well as a settee. The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, washbasin, bidet and toilet. The large double-bedroom is furnished with wooden interiors. The kitchen is fully fitted.. Bed linen and towels are provided. The Lucca apartment was totally renovated and refurnished during the last winter and all interiors are new and in perfect condition, giving the apartment a fresh and clean feeling. Gas and electricity are at extra cost, we only charge for what you use. Description:The structure The Masseria of the 12 grains is a construction that was fortified in the 18th century. It is situated in the middle of the countryside just outside Minervino di Lecce (a 5 minute walk) 7 kms from the beach and only a 20 minute drive from Otranto. It was once a big farm lived in by the landed gentry, and it included the living accommodation for the farmers, the stables, the fodder and harvest deposits and a snow deposit. The structure- approximately 1000 square meters – is surrounded by an ancient wall with a spacious court – and is named after the 12 underground grains , excavated in the stone , but it was also known as the “farm house of Saint Peter” or the “masseria of the Two Masters”. Our Masseria flat is a nice cottage that offers hospitality to friends or to a family that want to spend time in total tranquillity and have a logistical base from where to visit Salent one of the most original and rich regions of Italy. The hospitality is informal without penalizing comfort and professionalty. It’s like being a friend’s house but at the same time we guarantee the privacy one needs. We particularly want to address to our foreign guests because we are sure they will fall in love of these places and we have organized ourselves in order to welcome you (we speak English, French and Spanish). A bit of history Starting in the XVI century, in all Southern Italy, the “masseria” represented the settlement of the typical large feudal properties: they were the centre of life and of the local agricultural economy and of the centre of relations between the barons and the peasants. In 1744 at the “Catasto of Otranto” – in a land that was particularly exposed to the attacks from Turkish pirates – there were at least 54 masserie, many of which were fortified, as a proof of good defence as well as agricultural production. The farm house of the 12 Grains , with is mysterious underground spaces in order to hide and store the products that were grown on the land, emerged throughout those years and still today represents a fascinating historical testimony of that period. The lands that surround the masseria began to be fractioned and sold at the start of the 19th century by the then owner, the last Basalù baroness, but the agricultural and farming activities have continued and have remained alive until today. Description:In the harmonic land of the enchanted hills and the blue mountains, steeped in greenery and cared-for in every detail is to be found ‘Il Salino’, a country house for those who wish to relax and regenerate in blissful peace. The Salino Country House which has been renovated with expertise is to be found in the midst of the green hills of the Marche region, and situated in the county of Contro at about 3 km from Gualdo ( 650 metres above sea-level), a medieval town in the province of Macerata and part of the ‘Comunità Montana dei Monti Azzurri’ ( The Mountain Community of the Blue Mountains). The farmhouse, from which there is a beautiful view of the countryside, stands on a strip of land of approximately one hectare, on a hillside that runs gently down to the stream named ‘Salino’, from which the property takes it’s name. The construction, which provides every comfort, is composed of the farmhouse and an annex with a swimming pool, able to sleep 15 people in a mini apartment, a one-room flat and four rooms, as well as a communal living area composed of a polyvalent lounge, a dining-room and a kitchen. Also included are a large garden, a car park and an olive grove. The ‘Salino’ Country House is essentially composed of: -> the farm house: an expert eye will see that it was built in various stages from the end of the 1800’s onwards. The farmhouse, built on two floors, is built in sandstone, and has been renovated exclusively using natural building materials that respect the local traditions. The first floor is made up of a tv lounge come reading-room, four finely furnished rooms, each with its own bathroom, heating, safe deposit box, tv and every comfort. The ground floor, apart from the independent one-room flat, provides the communal living space: a polyvalent lounge, a dining-room, a professional kitchen and an entrance hall, all finely furnished and fully equipped. The grape room is a one-room flat with a kitchenette and an angle bar with a fridge, and apart from the bedroom there is a bathroom, heating, a safe deposit box and every comfort -> the annex: originally a barn and a pigsty, this has been transformed into the House of Hay and Sun (“La casetta del sole e del fieno”) a few metres away from the farmhouse, completely independent and composed of a two-room mini-apartment with fully-equipped kitchenette, bathroom and pantry, to sleep four people in maximum comfort -> the swimming pool: built into the hillside and thus sheltered, it has a panoramic view (5 x 10 mt) -> Outdoors: there are the garden and the car park outlined by a sandstone perimeter, and including many olive trees, benches, tables, chairs and deck-chairs. Description:Situated at 1.5 km from the city of Noto, in an organic farm, where the farmer work on lemons, almonds and olives trees. In the countryside you can enjoy organic landscapes typical of our valleys and our products that you can taste there. The house is composed by a large bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, an entrance area, a big veranda with a barbecue place and a parking place. The place provides complete independence and relaxing environment. The habitation has a view on a small old rural complex (no habitation) named ‘bagghio’ and is surrounded on the other sides by lemon, olive and almond trees. To enjoy your holiday to the fullest, I recommend renting a car to visit the near places. Noto (UNESCO site), at a kilometre - capital of the Baroque culture, simply splendid. 30 mins from Syracuse (UNESCO site), where you can see the Greek theatre and the archaeological site area, the Museum ‘Paolo Orsi’ (very interesting and internationally renowned). The island of Ortigia - a good place also for evening excursions and where you can also try out local food specialties in a large amount of typical restaurants to choose from simply walking for the streets of Ortigia can be a gorgeous experience, adventuring through its little narrow street filled or baroque sculptures and building facades. There are also little mountain-side towns that can be reached in about a hour, places of the likes of Buccheri, Buscemi, and Palazzolo, where you will find museums, good typical eatery and the ‘Val Di Anapo’ valley. There also are various natural resorts, the Natural Reserves, the little ponds of sweet water in ‘Cava Grande’ (Avola Antica 14km), the splendid beaches in the reserve Calamosca and Eloro resorts(Calamosca 10km, Eloro 8km), the slushes, reachable in less than half hour from Casa Zisola. Very interesting also the other Baroque cities: Scicli, Ragusa, Modica (UNESCO sites). You can visit the volcano Etna (86), its observatory and park, and its magnificent scenarios. You will be about 300 meters (about 984 feet) above sea level. n nThe villa and the private land surrounding it (5000 square meters or about 53,820 square feet) look out on the sun and the sea. n nVilla Silvestre is a large countryside house built with blocks of grey tuff. It is surrounded by the green of the olive groves, and it faces the vast blue of the sea.
