At the morphological level the area Maddalene brings together almost all the characters in the entire Alpine region. Magdalens, carved by the glaciers of the Quaternary and shaped by rivers that descend into the valley, seem to surround the green expanses where there are small countries: Livo, Revò, Rumo, CIS, and Cagnò Bresimo all between 650 and 1000 meters of altitude, where the tradition and charm of small mountain towns are still alive. Rich in history, often secular countries are castles, palaces and rural residences, adorned with precious architectural elements, testimony to the ancient attraction of this valley at the foot of the Magdalenes. Stands the cycle of frescoes by Baschenis artist from Bergamo who made his mark in other areas in the region (eg, Val Rendena) and two castles, among others, stand out: the ruins of a medieval castle and Altaguardia to Placeri . The area was already inhabited in Roman times and was used for farm work or hunting and gathering, but only around the year 1000 was a significant development that was later supported by the streams Lavazzè and Pescara, an inexhaustible source of energy for hydraulic operate the windmills and support the activities of sawmills. Description:Villa Pavone E is a 50-square-meter (about 538 square feet) apartment which sleeps two people. It features a shared garden and swimming-pool. It is part of an old and small countryside hamlet rich in stone houses, and it is located in the middle of a 120-hectare farm. n nVilla Pavone is in the north of Umbria , close to the famous cities of art such as Siena , Perugia , Assisi , Todi , Spoleto , among others. Cultivations and breeding of animals are developed with organic methods. The old countryside houses have been restored to host guests in small apartments which still keep the simple warm and cozy furnishing style of country homes. n nAt your arrival at the villa, you will notice a group of age-old buildings in grey stones surrounded by the verdant countryside scenery. Porticos and outdoor staircases render the fac3a7ades picturesque. And there also the shelters under which cows and calves are placed, kept in outdoor areas not far from the houses so that you can easily feel in the air the perfume of stables, typical of real life in the countryside and not a trait invented by tourist tales e280a6 n nServices n nAn extraordinary resource of the farm is the spring of mineral water which flows not far from the house: its temperature is the same all year round, which means it comes from deep underground. During summer you will find it delightful and unique to get fresh water straight from its source! n nAlso in the place, it is possible to purchase products from the farm, vegetables, salamis, and homemade sweets, not mentioning the opportunity to taste super-size grilled steaks taken from the Chianina breed. Breakfast and dinner is available upon booking. n nThe farm is located within a natural reserve area where hunting is forbidden. The swimming-pool features different depths so that even your kids can swim in it, and it is also spring-water fed. n nNext to the swimming-pool you will find two areas to relax in the shade, a large gazebo furnished with tables and chairs, and a portico, which is also equipped with several tables and chairs available to all the guests. Under the portico there is a large oven used to prepare the specialty of the farm, the Chianina meat, and a bit farther, there is a large barbecue ready to be used during large cookouts when you can gather your friends under the stars. On an angle of green lawn enclosed by hedges your kids will find a slide and a seesaw where they can play. n nThe house n nVilla Pavone E is an apartment situated on the first floor. You reach it after climbing a 14-step outdoor staircase. You will enter a spacious living-room. In the living-room there is a table with chairs, a TV set, and a kitchenette. From the living-room you can reach the double bedroom. The bedroom is spacious as well, and it features the bathroom with shower inside and windows overlooking the countryside. n nThe house is furnished in a simple and cozy way, following the typical countryside style of Umbria. The floor is in terracotta and the ceiling features wood-joists support and terracotta bricks. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner stove and a fridge. n nNearby tourist attractions n nVilla Pavone is 5 km (about 3 miles) away from Umbertide, a small town which has an old historical center where you will find several shops and typical restaurants. This ancient stone building has been restored with love and respect for its original form, and is lovely to look at, standing alone and surrounded by greenery. And at the summit of practically every hill, you will find rows of small, slender, dark-green cypress trees, rural houses, churches and ancient fortifications, as well as medieval villages marked by the tall, distant spikes of their towers. n nStaying here you will be 4 km (about 2.5 miles) from Rapolano Terme . Along this road, lined to the left and right with rows of vines, you will find hills topped with castles and villages, the results of two millennia of history. n nYou can visit cantinas, discover excellent small restaurants, and experience for yourself the friendliness of the locals which is such a great part of the fascination that Tuscany holds for the rest of the world. n nIf you enjoy hiking, you can walk the Senesi hills, or that part of the via Franchigena that crosses the Montagnola Senese, a protected hilly area, covered with chestnut trees, where nature is truly uncontaminated. n nThe swimming pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 12 meters (39 feet) long, from 1.20 meter (4 feet) to 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep. The swimming pool area is equipped with deck chairs. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a pleasant view of the Tuscan countryside and of the hills.
