Description:Location: New Braunfels, gruene, Texas, (1/2 Mile to Gruene Historic District, ON the Guadalupe River) Accommodations: Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 1-2) Historic Guadalupe River Cabin in Gruene! Walk, paddle, or float to Gruene! This secluded Historic Rustic Cabin is located on a wooded 1-acre lot (1505 Edwards Blvd., New Braunfels 78132), just 1/2 Mile upstream from the Historic Gruene District, on a 140-foot span of the Guadalupe Riverbank. A rustic cedar privacy fence encloses the Cabin and private deck area with seating. The Cabin has its own private view of the surrounding woods and landscaped and lighted walkways. Additionally, the private deck has a large Weber Kettle Charcoal Barbecue Grill, with cooking utensils and self-starting charcoal provided. The interior of the Cabin has been completely redone, since its original construction as a 1940's Fishing Camp Cabin, which was the only structure originally on this property deeded by the original German Immigrants who settled in New Braunfels. The Cabin has a King-Size bed, and a full private bathroom, that can accommodate 2. All new Ralph Lauren suede-paint interiors, blinds, and luxury-grade carpet have been added. Additionally, the full bathroom includes a tumbled-limestone floor, new blinds, and new fixtures. The Cabin also has it's own new stainless-steel refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, a new A/C/Heat unit, a new Cherry-wood electric fireplace (heat optional), full coffee service, ceiling fan, and a new LCD TV/DVD/CD player. From the backyard, one can overlook the Guadalupe River with an unobstructed view of the opposing riverbank and undeveloped limestone cliffs. The yard is shaded by huge Cedar Elm and Oak trees, and is perfect for outdoor lounging on the deck as well as a Stone Fire-Ring seating area, with firewood provided. Take the 2-person Kayak for a spin, or make use of the numerous floats, tubes, or life-vests provided, for a lazy float in the River. AmenitiesAir Conditioning : A new wall-mounted A/C/Heat Unit is found in the bedroom portion of the Cabin. Linens Provided : New bedding is provided, along with all new sheets and pillows, All Bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths are provided. Off Street Parking : Parking is found down the steep driveway, adjacent to the Cabin. Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer : Possible RV/Boat/Trailer parking at street level can be allowed, with prior notification. Fireplace : An electric Cherry-wood Fireplace is provided in the Bedroom portion of the Cabin, Thermostatic heating is optional. Wood Fireplace : The outdoor lighted and landscaped wooded area, contains a seating area with a Stone Fire-Ring, that can be viewed from the large picture windows in the Cabin, or from the seating area adjacent to the Fire-Ring. Includes 2 Adirondack chairs. King Bed : The Sealy Posturepedic King-Size Bed, has all new bedding and all new pillows, sheets, and comforter. EntertainmentCable/Satellite TV : The new LCD TV also has DVD and CD options with stereo sound. Refrigerator : There is a new mid-size, stainless-steel refrigerator/freezer available in the Cabin. Microwave : A Microwave is available, including utensils, dishes, and cups, as well as a toaster. Charcoal BBQ Grill : A Large Weber Kettle Barbecue Grill is available on the Deck, with all cooking utensils, and self-starting charcoal provided. Deck/Patio : A Wood Deck with Outdoor Seating is found between the entrance of the Cabin, and the walkway down to the Guadalupe Riverbanks. Waterfront: The Cabin has a walkway leading from the Front Gate, that leads down a sidewalk, with direct access to the Guadalupe River and the opposing cliff-sides, Water recreation equipment is provided, including a Sit on Top kayak and assorted floats, Fishing is excellent from the Riverbank, including Guadalupe Bass, Perch, Smallmouth, Carp, and Catfish. WiFi (Wireless Internet) : High Speed (7 Meg) Wireless Roadrunner Wi-Fi is provided free of charge, This is Long-Range Wi-Fi, and can be used at the seating areas next to the River, and throughout the entire property. Other Amenities: A 2-person Kayak is available, with steps down to the water for easy entry. There are 2 sets of rapids that just a short paddle upstream (in the direction of Canyon Lake/the 1st Crossing) or downstream (towards Gruene), Life vests are provided as well. Wildlife is abundant here, including Deer, Racoon, Armadillo, and Fox. Birders will appreciate over 200 species of exotic birds, including the local Owl, Falcon, Egret, Hawk, Cormorant, and Duck populations. No Pets Allowed : For the benefit of all of our guests, pets are NEVER allowed at any time, due to the allergic sensitivity of some individuals, Additionally, this location has several predator species that may increase the danger to smaller pets. Minimum Age Limit for Renters : All renters must be of at least 21 years of age, unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
