Description:Large spacious apartment in one of the best kept secrets in London: Clerkenwell. This area is possibly the best location for all corners of London: great for the City, the West End, East End, and, hey - it's in central London, Zone 1, so it makes traveling around that bit cheaper. The apartment is set on a quiet residential street, so it is oh, so, so quiet. Two double bedrooms and a large living room gives plenty of space for four people (only two double beds) so the flat is suitable for either two couples or four close friends. There's a nice little patio to the rear of the building so you can enjoy our glorious sunshine in a quiet leafy area. (OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration - you can enjoy our damp/grey/wet/grey British weather in a quiet leafy area). The area is a mix of historical sights and tourist attractions and also home to a thriving design industry, so there are lots of creatives buzzing around the area from Monday through to Friday and it's all peace and quiet at the weekends. Thanks to that creative mix of designers and architects, there's a choice of cool bars and rated restaurants all within walking distance of the apartment. Ten minutes walk takes you into the Old Street/Shoreditch area, which offers even more entertainment options, and a short bus away takes you further into Shoreditch/Hackney Broadway Market and London Fields - the area which is often described as home to London's cutting edge art.... more info >>

I am very flexible about lengths of stay and changeover days. I am happy for you to stay for a week or more, for the weekend or for short breaks of 2 or more days. All I ask is that you do not arrive at the cottage before 3 pm on your day of arrival and vacate by 11.00 am on the day of departure. AVAILABILITY PLEASE NOTE: I am tied into a deal with a large, national cottage rental company who have to have first priority in terms of bookings. It is therefore difficult for me to list the availability of Beech Cottage accurately on the airbnb site, because if I list it as available, it is possible I will get a short-notice booking from the company. Under these circumstances, the best I can offer is that you check with me in respect of the dates that you require and I will be able to either confirm them as free or not. In other words, despite the airbnb calandar indicating that certain dates are free, they may not be if I have had a short-notice booking just prior to you requesting those dates. I will try my best to keep the airbnb calandar as up to date as possible though. Thanks for your understanding. **2011 PRICES HELD BUT FOR A SMALL INCREASE FOR ELECTRICITY** I believe that the rates for Beech Cottage are probably the cheapest you will find for a cottage of similar standard and facilities within the area.
