Around the house covers an acre of land fenced in which we created a garden, an olive grove that produces an excellent extra virgin, strictly organic garden and a grove of tall trees. So we can enjoy tomatoes, chard, zucchini, salads of various kinds, peas, beans, broccoli and cauliflower, grapes, strawberries, depending on the season. We also collect from our belowed trees plums, peaches, apricots, apples and walnuts. The tranquil location is a heaven of peace and quiet while at the same time being very close to all amenities offered by the busy market town of Marsciano. The house is located about 12 km from the main road through the centre of Umbria linking Assisi (30 minutes), Perugia (20 minutes), Orvieto (40 minutes), Todi (15 minutes) and Spoleto (50 minutes). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FURTHER DETAILS Normally guests are welcome no earlier than 15 and check out is at 11 o'clock. A welcome pack of wine, water,milk, home made bread and oil extra virgin home produced is provided and the kitchen is supplied with basics such as tea, coffee, sugar etc. We can offer guests some extras that they not find elsewhere such as home cooked meals on arrival or during their stay. In the apartment there is internet access. Just tell us what you would like and we will do our best to provide it ,but first you must arrive... - Accessibility The apartment is on the groundfloor and is suitable for people with mobility problems but not suitable for wheelchairs. - Outside The swimming- pool (12 x 4 meters) is shared with us when we are present and is opened from early May until late September. In twenty minutes you are on the Trasimeno lake's sandy beaches, where you can practice all water sportses - Golf 20 minutes from Perugia golf club. The Perugia Golf Club is located just 6 km from the center of the Etruscan city of Perugia. The field is a gently undulating par 72, the core of which dates from the late fifties. The property is surrounded by woodland, where you will be able to watch wild animals like deer, foxes, wild boars etc. There are a lot of trekking trips leading to very beautiful spots in the countryside over the hills from 20 minutes up to several hours. Also available a large swimming pool, green spaces equipped with tables and chairs, toys for children, mountain bikes, while in the woods of the property you can walk. and for the most experienced even riding horses. From many years our Family is guests of Caldaruccio Podere La Pineta and continues to live with respect for nature and traditions attached to it. We Cultivate olive trees, grapevines, fruit and vegetables and produce our oil and wine following traditional and ancient methods, available to an orchard and organic garden. There is a large stunning swimming pool (5 x 14m), with spacious terraces, set into the hillside. There is plenty of shade and excellent views of the surrounding area (the views are similar to an infinity pool). There are comfortable sunloungers and chairs and there is a paddling pool for babies. Each accommodation has private terraces with shade. Each terrace has comfortable outdoor furniture and barbecue grill. There are well established herb and flowers gardens that surround the property. Bikes are available to borrow. There are 15 acres of farm, woodland and countryside to enjoy while staying with us. The unspoilt countryside is abundant with wildlife. Deer, wild boar, porcupines, hares, eagles, lizards and a wide variety of birds frequently roam the land. COAST/BEACH Fano beach is about 1 hours drive from the farm and is perfect for families with young children as it is very wide beach with shallow water. The wonderful sandy beaches of Sirolo are only 1 hour 20 mins drive away. Lake Trasimeno (35 min drive) has a life guarded beach and some excellent seafood restaurants. SPECIAL INTEREST HOLIDAYS We are open all year round, You can walk to the two local villages of Ramazzano (4 mins), Casa del Diavolo (10 mins) and surrounding the farm there are miles of stunning open countryside, perfect for walking, climbing, painting and cycling. The local restaurants serve typical Umbrian food such as, 'affettati' -plates of superb ham, salami and cheese, simple rustic pasta dishes with 'sugo' or truffles and roast meats and game. The medieval towns of Perugia and Gubbio (20 mins drive away) have some of the best restaurants in Umbria and a lively nightlife. The speciality is rich truffle dishes made with local black and white truffles. Gubbio also has several bars and pubs, which are great fun and rather lively during the summer evenings. The local towns of Ramazano and Casa del Diavolo both have bars, where you can drink into the small hours with the locals. You can walk to both of the bars (5 mins walk), they are both typical Umbrian bars, with beer on tap and a lively banter. Description:Borgo Santa Maria in Valle,Arezzo,Laterina,Tuscany The holiday house has been created by the lovingly and painstakingly restoration of a XVII century farm, set on a panoramic position on the gentle slopes that descend towards the Arno river. The farmhouse, once upon a time, was part an old estate,where farmers grew tobacco.The house has recently acquired the status of historical building. This is an area worth exploring. IT IS POSSIBLE TO RENT THE WHOLE FARMHOUSE, in this case we can host up to 20 adults ( babies are accepted but not counted) The compound is composed of one cottage (4 2) and 3 apartments :for2/9 people. BAITA 77 m2 (4 2) two bedrooms. Luminous stone cottage on two floors with its private garden and equipped terrace.2 bedrooms, spacious separate kitchen,large living room with double sofa bed, normal sofa, armchair.....french windows opening onto the garden,bathroom /shower. FONTANINA 73 m2 (2 3) One bedroom( one double single bed) Ground floor, covered porch, living room, separate kitchen ,one large bedroom.,bathroom / shower.... CARPANO 70 m2 (3 2) two bedrooms(one double one single) Ground floor, living room, separate kitchen, one double bedroom, one single bedroom,large bathroom/shower. SOPPALCO 75 m2 ( 7 2) First floor, three bedrooms(one matrimonial, one twin,one family bedroom with 3 single beds,where it's possible to add 2 beds) kitchenette/living room,sofa. All the kitchen are more than fully equipped with :microwave,refrigerator- freezer, electric oven, top stove with 4 fires, kettle, percolator, bread toaster, mini food processor,plenty of everything you may need to really feel at home. Candle holders. Hair dryer. the chalet (La Baita) and the apartment Il Soppalco have dishwasher. All our units have reserved space in the garden and by the pool. The farm is surrounded by a large fenced garden area equipped with tables, chairs and canopies, with of 8 x 12 meters swimming pool. the apartments have been tastefully finished, fully furnished ,all provided with TV sat,DVD and their own heating system. Simple but comfortable they have everything is needed to make guests feel at home.Laundry room with washing machine and iron ( ironing board) ,vacuum cleaner available for common use. Barbecue are(three stone bbq). WI FI Connection free. Activities: Tourism, Sightseeing, Bird watching, Hiking.Mountain Biking, Walking,relaxing. Important: With the exclusion of High Season( 23rd of June to 31rst of August, where minimum rental is of 7 days and changeover only on Saturday) ), minimum stay is 3 days, changeover is whenever you want. On 2000, the farm became property of our family and we started a process of restoration of the building and agrarian patrimony with particular care to the wine and olive oil area. The farmhouse is composed by five independent apartments recently restored: Paulownia, Rocco, Oca, Fico, Riding (bilo-apartments). The apartments have gardens, swimming pool, play area for children, open barbecue. The apartments are simply furnished, offering a comfortable stay in the countryside at a working farm. The farm is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and which house the production center of the farm's products. The farmhouse apartments are all perfectly restored, each one with private entrance and common garden. Inside they are tastefully furnished with TV and their single unit heating system. The farmhouse is open yearly. The farm produces and sells wine, olive oil, jams, fruit syrups and dried fruit. The farmhouse is at north of Perugia, just outside of the ancient medioeval walls. In this direction there are not outskirts, so you can go directly from the historic centre of Perugia to the country side.
