The stone farmhouse, built in the 19th century, is at a height of 320m, near the old route connecting Foiano to Castiglion Fiorentino. There are panoramic views of the old castle of Montecchio and Cortona, a short drive from the farmhouse. S. Savino Mountain, Lucignano and the Trasimeno Lake are all close by, offering plenty of cultural attractions and the folklore of international renown. The farmhouse is situated in the Chiana Valley, a beautiful natural environment characterised by low hills, each concealing an endless variety of landscapes. Cereals and corn are grown in the valley and the hills are covered with olive-groves and vine-yards, which are gradually replaced by woods when going towards Cortona's mountains and the foothills of the Appennines. The farmhouse is surrounded by fully-fenced grounds of 4.5-hectares, which include a stunning private swimming-pool (6x14 m) set in a spacious, sunny position. The pool is fully equipped with beach-umbrellas, deck-chairs and sunbeds. A barbecue and other equipment are available so that you can eat in the open air. The owners are glad to share with their guests, the produce from the extensive vegetable garden, with its large selection of seasonal vegetables, herbs and fruit trees. There is a warm welcome from the owners (mother, father and daughter) who live on the ground floor. They also manage the agricultural estate of 80 hectares.The accommodation is accessed by typical stone stairs and panoramic logia.
