The fitted kitchen is of a good standard with dishwasher and the tiled bathroom has a bathtub and washing machine. The district Berlin Kreuzberg Kreuzberg is the smallest district and belongs to Berlin's inner city. Unlike most other districts, Kreuzberg did not develop out of a rural village but was formed in 1920 as part of a major administrative reform out of the southern Friedrichstadt, Tempelhofer Vorstadt and Luisenstadt districts. It was named after the highest peak in the area, the Kreuzberg Mountain, which in turn took its name from the monument to the Freedom War (1813-15), topped with an Iron Cross, erected there by Karl-Friedrich Schinkel. Surrounding: Opposite the house is of course the traditional bakery and asian takeaway, but also a famous Japanese restaurant. Just around the corner you have numerous of restaurants and small shop and a couple of blocks down the bizzy street Torstrasse provides you with anything you might need. Or why not visit the jugend style markethall with all kinds of food and art? You reach the big canal Spree within less then 10 minutes, that offers you a nice walk right trough the city passing Tiergarten and Bundestag. The flat is situated 1 minutes from S-Beuselstrasse on Ringbahn, which connects to most parts of Berlins center within 15 minutes - Prenzlauerberg, Charlottenberg, Bahnhof Zoo, Schöneberg, Mitte or Friedrichstrasse and Unter den Linden. With bus TXL right outside the house you reach Tegel airport within 10 minutes. You can also take a 15 minutes walk to reach the popular beach of Plötzensee where you can take hour long walks, a swim, a beer by the lake or even rent a boat for the afternoon.
