Description:Please note I currently have availability over the Paralympics - Please enquire! This is my one bedroom apartment in lovely Greenwich. It is light, modern and comfortable. You will have the use of the entire place, which is on the first floor of a secure newly built apartment block (there is a lift in the building). I have underfloor heating, wireless internet, TV and DVD player, digital radio and washing/drying machine. The transport links are great five minutes walk to a mainline train station with services into central London (London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross), access to the Jubilee Line, plenty of buses and of course the Thames Clipper boat service. You can walk to the beautiful Greenwich Park in under ten minutes and Greenwich has a host of restaurants and pubs, Greenwich Market, The Royal Observatory, The National Maritime Museum, the Royal Naval College and historic buildings such as The Queens House. It's a great tourist location in itself, have a look at this website for more information: For the Olympics: Superbly placed for the events in Greenwich Park and the North Greenwich Arena (AKA the O2 Arena). The main Olympic Park is a short tube journey away (North Greenwich to Stratford is three stops). Woolwich is 15 minutes away for the Shooting and Archery events and access into central London is really easy as detailed above. As this is my main home I find it difficult to take last minute bookings. Within walking distance for the shops on Oxford street, for Madam Tuassauds by famous Baker Street and the Marylebone Village. The West End and many of London's attractions are a short tube journey away including Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Horse Guards Parade (Olympic Beach volleyball), the National Gallery and much more. Description:I'm listing my large family home with three spacious double bedrooms. Sunny south-facing open plan kitchen/living room, high ceilings and original sash windows. Comfortable and bright, this is a well-loved family home. It's in a quiet tree-lined street in a great location. Zone 2 tube, 15 minutes from Oxford Circus and lots of buses in all directions. Close to local shops, buses and cafes etc. Farmers Market every Sunday. There is a very nice Indian restaurant just 10 minutes away, lots of lovely little cafes and a library. Paddington recreation ground is a great park with a running track and outdoor gym area, it's 5 minutes away I regularly walk the dog here. I am a dog lover, and you are welcome to bring your dog to stay. If you fancy a break from the Olympics there are several cinemas nearby, and it's just a bus ride to Camden Lock. This area is famous in London for its market, bars and nightlife. (Zone 2 on the tube) Extremely well linked by public transport to all of London's attractions notably all the main London 2012 Olympic sites with direct tube and overgorund trains from Shepherds Bush to Olympic Park Stratford, Wembley Stadium, Horse Guards Parade , London's Earl's Court and Olympia, Heathrow and Gatwick airports, the M4 for West of England including Olympic rowing at Eton and M40 for Oxford and the North of England. TO GIVE YOU MORE OLYMPIC DETAILS & JOURNEY TIMES TO THE MAIN LONDON VENUES: The official Olympic Stadium is in East London and our home is in West London however the journey times to the Olympic Park in Stratford are quoted by Transport for London on their website as being 31 minutes and there are direct trains from our nearby Shepherds Bush tube station every 3-4 minutes. Our home is located five minutes walk from the tube station at Shepherds Bush Market and 10 minutes walk (less by bus) from Shepherds Bush Central Line and Shepherds Bush Overgound (this also has a direct overground rail route to the Olympic Park) The Olympics are not restricted to Stratfrd however, near to our house in Central West London there are many other Olympic event venues these include Earls Court (archery) which from Shepherds Bush Market tube is just 15 minutes. The Mall and Horse-guards Parade are the Central London locations for the beach volleyball, cycling road race, race walk and the marathon and can both be reached in 15 minutes from Shepherds Bush tube via Westminster tube station. Wembley Stadium and Arena is the base for football, badminton and rhythmic gymnastics and these venues are 29 minutes via tube from Shepherds Bush via Bakers Street tube station. Lords Cricket ground is also nearby and can be reached via bus direct from Shepherds Bush or you can take the tube to the nearest tube station to Lords at Edgware Road. This tube journey is 15 minutes with an additional 10 minute walk to the venue from Edgware Road station. To get to nearby Hyde Park where the triathalon and marathon swimming events will take place as well as large TV screens and concert events from here takes 7 minutes via tube to Lancaster Gate or via direct bus in under 20 minutes. Wimbledon is the home for the tennis and is 35 minutes via tube from Shepherds Bush. Eton located on the river Thames near Windsor to the west of London will be home to rowing and canoeing and can be accessed from Shepherds Bush via overground train from Paddington in under 20 minutes excluding the 12 minutes it takes to get from Shepherds Bush via tube to Paddington overground station. Description:My house is a charming Victorian cottage (built around 1902) with 2 double bedrooms, modern bathroom, open plan lounge with spacious dining area and a garden in Greenwich Conservation Area. It has many original features including 3 fireplaces. Both bedrooms have a double bed, one of which is kingsize. There is a large, comfortable sofa bed in the lounge. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen with butlers sink, granite work surfaces and all mod cons that faces out into a beautiful, well-loved private garden. The living space with oak wooden floorboards throughout is large, light and open plan onto the dining area with a modern dining table that seats 6-8 people. Clean linen and towels will be provided. The house is situated 5 minutes walk from historic Royal Greenwich Park (a favourite of Henry V and a World Heritage Site) with the stunning Royal Observatory for Greenwich meantime, historic Maritime Museum, Sir Christopher Wren's Old Royal Navel College now Greenwich University, Trinity Music College, the Queen's House building and, of course, the venue for the London Olympic equestrian events. The house is just a 5 minute walk from the River Thames, 1km from the O2 arena (North Greenwich Arena) for entertainment, restaurants and the London Olympics gymnastics, trampoline and basketball events and 20 mins from Royal Artillery Barracks for shooting and archery.
