Description:Cordial and easygoing couple living in a beautiful, tranquil but accesible spot in the East End of London wish to share their home with like minded visitors. We're located in Zone 2, and a nine minute walk from Mile End Underground Station, along side the delightful Mile End Park. This station is serviced by three different tube lines, a 15 minute ride to the city centre and a 5 minute ride to the Olympic park in Stratford. We are offering to share our beautiful home with like minded people. This is a friendly household that will leave you to do your own thing but also happy to give any directions/info you may need to ensure your stay is perfect. Amenities nearby include breakfast Cafes, take away/delivery shops, supermarkets & restaurants, all within a ten minute walk radius. We offer a spacious, modern and quiet room with a very comfortable small double bed, wardrobe and writing desk. There’s a window seat overlooking the Regent’s canal in the room, where you can be lulled in the summer by the falling waters of Johnston Lock. You’ll have access to your own spacious private bathroom furnished with a bath/shower. Towels, bed linen and hair dryer are provided. Internet wireless connection is available and free. Self service breakfast is with cereal, crumpets, toast, jam/marmalade, coffee, teas and juices (please let us know your preferences). Smoking is allowed on the balcony. We live in a new development on the first floor with open plan living space, two bedrooms (one will be yours), two bathrooms (one will be yours), a fully fitted kitchen to which you’ll have total access and a balcony overlooking the canal. We have a privileged view of Canary Wharf, the Regent’s canal and that of the communal gardens. We’re located in Stepney, a multicultural part of London that has seen a lot of regeneration thanks to its proximity to the Olympic site. We are three minutes away from Mile End Park and a nine minute walk from the nearest Tube station, offering great transport links on the Central, Hammersmith & City and District lines. There are also good 24 hour transport connections to central London, with the 25 and the 205 buses taking you there in about forty minutes. Description:This flat is very well located for 2012 olympics however it's also available outside of the olympics period. It's close to events in Blackheath, Greenwich Park, the O2 (North Greenwich). The flat is located between Blackheath Royal Standard, a middle class residential area east of Greenwich Park and the idyllic Charlton Village. Location: Bus stop is just outside the apartment block. You can get to Blackheath/Greenwich Park in under 5 minutes and the O2 in under 15 mins. 2 Bycicles come free of charge. Cycling time to Blackheath/Greenwich Park is around 5 minutes, the O2 10 to 15 mins and Greenwich Town Centre in under 10 mins. Locks and lights are provided. Let me know if you need more bikes, as I can purchase some mountain bikes if required. 24/7 allocated parking is available. A102 highway crosses the area. You can use it to get to Stratford (A102, then A11) or to quickly get out of London to the english countryside. from the O2 arena you can take the cable car (Emirates Airline) straight to events in London Excel. Events in Stratford are only two stops away from the O2 (Jubilee line). Jubilee line will also get you to Central London in under 15 minutes. Charlton station is 10 minutes away. From there you can catch trains to Central London (London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross/Trafalgar Square stations). Woolwich is 2 miles east and it will take you only 8 minutes by bus to get there. There you can enjoy beautiful river side, historic Royal Arsenal as well as take Dockland Light Railway trains towards London City Airport as well as events in Stratford and London Excel. Description:We have the ultimate 'home away from home'. Built and restored by the owner, an architect, our one-bedroom ground floor maisonette has classic Victorian features such as high ceilings, timber floors and large sash windows. Our home is available to rent from the 25th December to the 20 January either over the whole duration or for short periods at a time. It's ideally sized for two sharing, but spacious enough for a group of four (sleeps two more on the futon). We'd probably be able to fit a fifth, though I don't think our French Chaise Lounge would lend anyone much rest. Its on the ground floor, bathroom with marble tiles, the place still smells fresh painted, stunning apartment, fits 4, one white leather sofa in the living room that can be a bed as you see in the picture. What I like about this area is that it has all the restaurants, pubs, fun options and yet it has an artsy bohemian feeling that you dont find in other areas. Description:We'd love to welcome you to our awesome apartment in east London. The building used to be an old coat factory and was converted super sympathetically several years ago. The apartment has tons of character with the original floorboards throughout, plenty of exposed brick and the original metal window frames. Our kitchen is pretty big and very well equipped so if you intend on cooking during your stay (we also have a pretty fair cookbook collection and we are a very pleasant 40 minute walk from Borough Market where you can find pretty much any ingredient going) this is the place for you. The kitchen table seats 8 people comfortably. In addition to everything you'd expect we have a dishwasher and microwave. The sitting room comfortably seats 6 people, our sofa is giant and comfortable - the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. We have Sky with all movie and sports channels, as well as movies on demand. There is also DVD player and we have ton of DVDs for you to choose from. The apartment has two bedrooms. Bedroom 1: Double bed, shower room, DVD player iPod connection Bedroom 2: Double bed, Sky TV iPod connection If you wish to have 1 or 2 more guests, please let us know as we can provide a comfortable automatic inflatable mattress. We provide all bed linen and towels. The apartment is in the heart of London's rag trade, just off Commercial Road, E1 which is pretty central. We are also 5 minutes away from probably the two best Indian restaurants outside of India (well, in London at least!) Main bedroom has a fabulous high spec en suite including extra large walk in shower, walk in wardrobe and a flat screen TV on the wall. Second bedroom has lots of built in wardrobe and drawer space. Second bathroom includes large jacuzzi bath. Fully integrated kitchen including large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and oven with microwave function. Granite work surface and 270 degree glass splashback including see through fish tank from kitchen to living room. High quality airbed available which can be set up in the living room if requested in advance. Location: Transport Flat is located in a conservation area next to the World Heritage Site of Wilton's Music Hall. It is a 5 mins walk to Tower Gateway DLR, or 5-7min walk to Tower Hill tube (District/Circle), or Aldgate (Circle/Metropolitan), or Aldgate East (District, Hammersmith and City) tube stations. It is an 8-10 minute walk to Shadwell DLR and overground. London Bridge station is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride. The nearby buses are 15, 25, RV1. There are two Barclays cycle hire stations, or Boris bike stations within 3 minutes walk. The flat is located just off one of the main cycle superways in London which means cycling off road safely is very easy. Location: Amenities The nearest supermarket (Waitrose) is a 5 minute walk, there are shops 50 yards away (including convenience store, restaurants and hairdressers). Flat has several lovely well reviewed restaurants nearby including Rosemary Lane (haute cuisine), Cirilo (Asian fusion), Red Chilli (curry), The Empress (curry). A 5 minute walk will take you to the beautiful St. Katharine Docks with beautiful chain restaurants such as Zizzi (the prettiest Zizzi in London), Strada, Ping Pong, Cafe Rouge, Prohibition, Dickens Inn and Starbucks x 2. The fantastic Mahogany Bar (one of the coolest bars in London, patronised by numerous celebrities and trendy types) is 50 metres away. Wilton's usually has some excellent productions on. Location: other hotels Being located in a hotel district, the flat is a 5 minute walk or less from the following: The Grange City, The Grange Tower Bridge, Travelodge Aldgate, Travelodge Tower, Doubletree by Hilton, Apex City of London, Novotel Tower Hill, Ibis Aldgate. Location: tourism/business The City of London is on the doorstep and the offices of Soc Gen, Generali, Maersk, RBS, and many others are very close indeed. The area is excellent for cycling because the roads are not too busy. Description:Our home is in a great location to explore both London's favourite tourist sites (theatre, museums, art galleries) with a short trip into the city centre, and the fantastic food, local markets and lively bars of East London's Shoreditch, Hoxton and Hackney. The apartment itself is a new build and we've been living here for just over a year. It's a great place for people who like both a bit of peace and quiet, as well as everything London has to offer at their finger tips. We do a lot of cooking at home so we have a well-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher. If you don't make it to one of the local markets or eateries, the apartment block is above a small supermarket. We are next to a main road but the flat itself is really quiet thanks to some excellent double glazing. Our neighbours are quiet and friendly and there is space to store bikes on the landing. We have a small balcony from which you can see four Victorian gas towers and some rather spectacular sunsets from time to time (pictured). A five minute walk to the tube station allows you to access central London (ten minute tube ride to Oxford Circus) and we're on three bus routes that go directly into different parts of the city (London Bridge, Waterloo and Marble Arch). But you don't need to go very far to entertain yourselves. A two minute walk from the apartment will take you to either Broadway Market or Columbia Road flower market - two of London's best street markets on the weekends. Other local attractions include London Fields Lido - a 1920s outdoor heated swimming pool open throughout the year. First Thursdays on Viner Street can be found around the corner, where you can explore gallery openings hosted by young artists in the area. The V&A's Museum of Childhood can be found near the local tube station for an insight into British childhood through the ages and for those young at heart Hackney City Farm has a small range of animals, including rare pig breeds, ducks and huge rabbits. We like eating out in the area and can make suggestions for the best places to go for Turkish, Georgian, Italian, traditional English, Argentinian, Brazilian and more. The recently Michelin starred restaurant Viajante is a two minute walk around the corner and has a great bar (and a cheaper secret diner for those on a budget!). For those who like to get out and about, Victoria Park and Regent's Canal are nearby providing open space to walk, run or relax. There are two gyms within walking distance, one of which has a spa attached. If you are looking for 1-4 people, then please look on 'my other listings' on the lower right hand side of this page' and you can book smaller groups there! You will have all to yourself a charming 3-storey Victorian terraced house located in a friendly, mixed and vibrant neighbourhood, with a daily local market, 24 hour grocers/deli, and a large nearby park, this is London living at it's most genuine. The house has 2 double bedrooms and a marble bathroom on the top floor, a lounge and a study on the middle floor, and a newly renovated dining room, breakfast room, kitchen and laundry in the basement, leading out to a small, (but very green!) yarden. The main guest bedroom sits at the front of the house, with a king size double bed (1.6m wide), and is next to the bathroom. The secondary guest bedroom has a queen size double bed (1.4m wide), and will be used if up to 4 people are staying (great for kids). For the 5th person, we have a camping bed that can be placed in the lounge/study. All beds have feather pillows and feather duvets. We also have non-allergenic synthetic pillows if required. The house is a home, and will hopefully feel as such to you. It dates back to 1875, so has it's quirks and imperfections which give it charm and style.
