A compact well appointed studio within the heart of the community of Strawberry Hill an open vista overlooking the local Golf course greets you as you open your generous double doors. The main Line Station with fast trains to Central london is within a one minute walk of your apartment (to browse in the best shops and visit the tourist hotspots)There are lots of buses for the outer regions such as Heathrow, Hampton Court,Richmond,Twickenham, Kingston & Hammersmith. The competition for the prettiest area name is, at last, over. Strawberry Hill is a pleasant, open and lovely little suburb of Twickenham, an area that does justice to its name and provides a beautiful quarter of Southwest London to live in. Strawberry Hill is a lovely little residential area, fairly upwardly mobile and affluent. With its little local railway station and excellent resources, it's a pocket of another time, quiet, quaint and with a great reputation for family friendliness. Great local sites include its tiny stretch of riverside, the restored Strawberry Hill Castle and Horace Walpole's gothic villa after which the area is named. The area is near plenty of green spaces, including walks along the river, which also offers nearby water sports of course, Richmond Park, and Bushey Park. Great little shops of all kinds are found in Strawberry Hill's little centre. It's got excellent, recommended restaurants in easy distance, lovely pubs along the river, and wonderful nearby schools for all levels. Above all the area feels like a true community, sealed off - yet within easy distance of Richmond, Twickenham and town - and supportive. Property here is - unsurprisingly perhaps - sought after. There are good conversions, and excellent modern apartments nearby. The main centre of the Strawberry Hill area however is set amid excellent, quiet tree-lined roads, which are lined with some midwar terraced houses as well as a good stock of Victorian and Edwardian houses. The standard of these houses is excellent, and they are all very desirable indeed by the professionals and families who want to live in a small community where quiet and calm is the watchword, but which has the facilities of the city right nearby.. I look forward to meeting you and making your stay nice and pleasant Anthony... more info >>

Description:Queens Park tube goes straight to Paddington (4 stops), Baker Street (7 stops) and Oxford Circus (9 stops). The area is now very fashionable with a fantastic range of boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants all just a couple of minutes from the flat. Our flat has some lovely old furniture and original paintings and prints, a large spacious, well equipped kitchen/dining room and a large separate sitting room, fast Wi-fi, 40in Sony Bravia TV & DVD & Sony hi-fi. It's on the top (2nd) floor of a 19th Century house and is very light with Windows on three sides. It also has a sunny private garden on the ground floor. Brondesbury Park, the tube in the opposite direction, is great for East-West journeys to the Olympic village or to Hampstead Heath, Richmond or Kew Gardens. Queens Park is popular with media people - the BBC is nearby and has quite a few celebs too. You may run into Jade Jagger or Thandie Newton walking her dog in the local park. Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films is also a local resident. The excellent of cafes, shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the house include Jacks (a great diner-style bistro, Hugos, the Salusbury Tavern gastropub, Gails Artisan bakery and Penks Restaurant, probably the best in the area. Sushi Say Japanese restaurant is about 15 minutes walk and is so good (and such good value) that people travel right across London to go there. Or there's a great traditional Fish & Chip shop just opposite Queens Park tube station. There is a Sainsburys local supermarket less than 100 metres from the flat selling everything you need for a short stay: fresh bread, beer, wine, ready-meals, meats, fruit etc. And every Sunday morning there is a very popular Farmers Market 150 metres from the flat selling organic and local produce. Queens Park itself is 2 minutes walk. The Queens Park Rangers football team, now in the Premier League, played here in the early days. It's still great for kicking a football around or jogging, but it also has tennis courts, a pétanque area, pitch and putt golf, an excellent cafe with outside tables, a playground for children under 12, a paddling pool, a huge sandpit area for toddlers and a children's animal zoo. Portobello Road in Notting Hill with its excellent shops, market and cafes is also walking distance.... more info >>
