You can also walk to Buckingham Palace and the Mall easily (20 minutes) and my personal favourite is too walk all long the south bank of the river with a vista of just about everything to the South bank arts complex, Millenium Wheel, Globe Theatre, Tower Bridge etc etc. You can also catch a water ferry back to 4 blocks from the apartment.It is only 30 minutes walk to the heart of the theatre district or a short bus ride.
