Description:** Welcome to our lovely flat in Putney (Southwest London)!! ** A great home-base for exploring all of London, the 2012 Olympics venues and Wimbledon Tennis. Free complimentary bottle of wine and small food hamper with every booking! We also have the flat professionally cleaned before you arrive. Our sunny split-level property is a stylish and comfortable one bedroomed flat just 3 minutes from the the National Rail Station and sleeps 2-4 people (we can provide an extra air bed just let us know). Putney is considered one of the pleasantest of the London suburbs, as well as the most accessible. Our neighbourhood is very laid-back and cozy with an impressive array of restaurants, gastropubs and bars within walking distance. The River Thames is also less than 10-minute walk. The main street, known as Putney High Street, is lined with lovely coffee shops, grocery stores, designer shops, and junk shops to rummage in and classic English pubs to sample a pint of traditional ale. Plus, the High Street is literally 45 seconds from our front door. MORE ABOUT THE FLAT... The flat is on the 1st floor (Middle flat) of a classic red brick three story Victorian home. The flat has one bright bedroom with comfy double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and french doors leading out onto a wrap-around balcony. The lounge is decorated with some of our favorite prints and is spacious with plenty of room for you to relax after a day of sightseeing. Our living room has 10-foot ceilings and features huge windows which overlook a classic row of London Victorian terraced houses. In the flat we have an LCD TV, basic Sky Cable, Free Wifi, electric water kettle for making tea and coffee, and dining table with four chairs, clothes washing machine. The kitchen is a bit small but comes fully equipped with everything you should need to cook up a storm pots, pans, knives, silverware, bowls, plates, spatula... etc. If you think you need it... we probably have it. There is a quirky decorated bathroom with full size bath and shower. Nearest tube stations are Putney Bridge (zone 2) and Putney East (zone 2) and are each about 10 minute walk away. The best way to get into the heart of London is the National Rail Station which is a 3-minute walk from our front door and will put you at Waterloo Station in roughly 15-20 minutes. From Waterloo you will be within walking distance to the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. There are also plenty of bus stops literally just outside to travel all over London. MORE ABOUT THE AREA... The flat is moments from River Thames and I would highly recommended taking time to stroll 30 minutes either upstream to Wandsworth and Battersea and or down river towards Hammersmith, Chiswick, and Richmond. There are loads of riverside pubs and cafes to make the walk even more enjoyable. And, if you are a Futbol (Soccer) fan you can walk to the Fulham FC (Craven Cottage) stadium to catch a game. We are more than happy to make any recommendations or offer advice for places to eat and drink. If you are a runner Putney probably one of the best places in London for running there are parks, paths, and trails in every direction. Description:My home is a large one bedroom garden flat halfway down Tufnell Park Road (same road as the Northern Line Tube), right next to a selection of small shops (open till 9pm) and the well-known pub/restaurant The Tufnell Park Tavern where there is a farmers market every Saturday (10am-3pm) outside. At the Tufnell Park end of the road there is a good selection of bars and restaurants along with Tufnell Park Tube station which is perfectly situated on the Northern Line, taking you through central London where you can visit all the “hot spots” that London has to offer. I work in Soho and it takes me 30mins door-to-door in the mornings, so place’s like Oxford Street, Trafagular Square, Leicester Square, Southbank and Piccadilly are all within easy reach from the flat. The amazing nightlife of Camden is a short walk (20 mins) or 2 stops on the Tube away. Hampstead Heath which is perfect for getting some great views of London (Parliament Hill) or going for a long run across the heath to shake off the night before is a short walk away too. The other end of the road is Holloway Road which is a multi cultural hub and is also the home of Arsenal F.C - if you are coming to watch some football (soccer). At the bottom of Holloway Road is Highbury much easier and quicker than taking your chances with the infamous London traffic. The amazing shopping and restaurants of Upper Street are to the right of Highbury & Islington station. The overground will also take you into Shoreditch which has become one of London’s top spots for art galleries and socializing. A little bit more about my flat: Large bedroom with queen size bed and bay windows. Includes very large living/dining room, double french doors leading to balcony with stairs leading down to garden. Fully equipped separate kitchen. 15ft ceilings, fireplace, soaker shower, washing machine and dryer. Free wifi, HD television and free parking available on request. The lounge has a flat screen TV and a whole host of Blu-ray’s including a PS3 and XBOX with entertainment system. A dining room table that seats 6 people and small (ish) kitchen that has ample of space with a fridge/freezer in case you wish to buy food and stay in for a night. There is also a gas fire in the lounge to keep you snug if visiting in the Winter time. Take a look at the pictures as they will give you a good idea. The garden is perfect to chill out in and has a small table with a selection of chairs. I love living here as it suits the London lifestyle perfectly and hopefully you'll enjoy staying here too. The local town has a brilliant library, lots of cafes, many restaurants, a shopping centre, lots of greenbelt forests and a big lake that you can walk to in 15 minutes. There is a good sized garden with a huge wooden deck , sun loungers , fire pit table and chairs.On the deck there are laundry facilities - washer and dryer.
