Description:The apartment is within the City walls of Chichester, just off one of the main shopping streets, so it’s quiet but still really central. There’s one bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. The kitchen opens onto the dining area and living room where there is a double sofa bed so you can easily sleep two couples in the apartment, there is a separate toilet (as well as the WC in the en-suite). I have a decent office setup with internet and a WiFi connection, the solid Oak desk / workstation was brilliantly engineered and crafted by one of my good friends. There are games, PS3/BluRay, DVD’s, and a bicycle available for use. The development has a concierge service if you need anything and a secure underground car park on site (available with prior arrangement and a small deposit). I can organise high-chairs / cots for little ones. Chichester is a historical English cathedral city that dates back to Roman times. There’s a fair bit of culture in Chichester, with several art galleries, a well known theatre and an independent cinema. There are plenty of restaurants, including a Carluccio's and a Brassier Blanc literally around the corner if you fancy some thing simple, or there are some really fine restaurants in the area if you are after something special. Goodwood house is 10mins drive up the road up on the South Downs, during the summer they host the popular Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Vintage festivals as well as Glorious Goodwood horse racing event, there’s the flying club too (prices vary during Goodwood Festivals). Going the other direction (South) you have Chichester harbour and West Wittering which are great places for sailing or power boating and Kite / Wind surfing. Description:Modern and spacious studio with stunning indoor swimming pool and sauna in a portered building perfectly located to reach the London Olympics in only 15 minutes and also explore trendy East London by foot. ABOUT THE AREA This bright, modern studio is in Tower Hill, i.e. under 10 minutes walk to the magnificent Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and the Thames with the beautiful Saint Katherine Docks. In addition, the Whitechapel Gallery, trendy Bricklane and the Old Spitafields Market are only a short walk from the flat. Tower HiIl and Aldgate East tube station or the overground (DLR) are within 5 minutes walk and you can reach the heart of London (e.g. Piccadilly, Oxford Circus) in just 15 minutes by bus or tube. You can also take the original London bus (route 15) in Tower Hill that drops you in Piccadilly in under 20 minutes and enjoy sightseeing of the city from the upper floor. Only 5 minutes away from my flat, there is also a nice and big Waitrose supermarket for hosts wanting to buy their groceries and eat a meal home. The supermarket is near the beautiful Saint Katherine Docks marina, so you can also have a nice picnic there before heading to visit the Tower of London that is just round the corner! ABOUT THE FLAT This spacious and well-equipped studio flat has a comfortable bed, a large sofa and a table with four comfortable chairs and has a new, clean carpet throughout. There is also a desk with a comfortable desk chair, keyboard and speakers, which guests are free to use with their own ipad/laptop and and thanks to free Wifi they can also surf the internet at their convenience. The flat also benefits from a large balcony with double glazing, where guests are free to smoke. There is a separate kitchen with very modern appliances - microwave, kettle, blender, toaster - and a washer/drier. Guests can also use a iron and ironing board if they want. The bathroom is also very modern with full size bath and shower overhead with great water pressure and a well-sized mirror. The flat faces the DLR (overground), but the noise is very minimal and the double glazing makes it suitable also for light sleepers. There is also a stunning and very well maintained indoor SWIMMING POOL with a sauna within the building that is accessible only to residents, completely free to use for guests and open 24/7 which feels like a private pool!! The building is portered and located in a safe street close to the famous Wiltons Music Hall (that is the world's oldest music hall, so definitely worth a visit) and the lovely Wilton Pub. The flat is professionally cleaned both BEFORE and after guests stay in the flat. However, I only charge a minimal £30 fee for the cleaning up. Description:This elegant, typically English, flat is situated in Little Chelsea, between the fashionable King 's Road and that stretch of The Fulham Road locally known as the beach - where the In-crowd come surfing for the many good restaurants, bars, cafes and upmarket convenience stores! nLittle Chelsea is popular with celebrities - Hugh Grant, who lives locally, is often seen in the neighbourhood shops. nYour nearest tube station, within 10 minutes walk, is Fulham Broadway (District line) though not much further and probable more convenient is South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines). nFernshaw Road is very quiet, it 's completely shielded from the noise of the two busy roads it lies between and has no though traffic. The flat is on the ground floor of an elegant, high ceilinged, early Victorian building. It 's beautifully presented and furnished in classic English style: original paintings, drawings and watercolours on the walls, antique furniture, fine curtains etc.etc. It sleeps 2 people in a double bedroom and a third can be accommodated on a good fold-away bed which can be put in the dining room (effectively making a second bedroom) or the drawing room. nThe entrance door opens onto a small hallway with engraved family portraits on the walls. The comfortable (19ft9 x 14ft6, 6m x 4.4m) drawing room has a 3 seater sofa, two arm-chairs as well side tables with lamps, a TV (hidden when not in use) and a gas coal-effect fire - very cosy in winter. nNext door is the dining room, it 's quite narrow (12ft6 x 6ft, 3.75m x 1.8m) but seats 6 comfortably, 8 at a squeeze. The kitchen has all the expected appliances including a microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer. It overlooks the garden (no access) at the rear of the house. nThe bedroom has a large (6ft) double bed and also overlooks the gardens at the back of the house. There 's good cupboard and storage space. The good-sized bathroom is carpeted and has bath with hand/over shower, basin, bidet and loo. nBoth the King 's Road and the Fulham Road abound with good restaurants, nice pubs, and places with character. In nearby Hollywood Road (3 mins walk) you can have a glass of wine in the charming gardens of The Wine Gallery - excellent selection of wine at virtually retail prices and browse their collection of paintings for sale by London artists.
