Description:This is a very comfy home in central London which is being offered on a weekly or full time basis from the 25th of July till the 15th of August 2011. There are three very large double bedrooms, two whole bathrooms, a huge fully equiped kitchen, TV, wireless internet, living room, utility room, terrace, two-day per week cleaner who would be changing your linen and making sure the flat is pristine and clean. House cat can be included. He's a sweet beautiful cat who hates moving out of the flat but if you need him out, I'll find him a home during your stay. Our cleaner will make sure he has food and water and that his litter is clean, although he goes out during the summer months. The terrace is a lovely place to have a drink or coffee during the summer. The flat has excellent transport services: Overground from Olympia will take you to the main Olympic Venues in Stratford in 50 minutes, a couple of miles from Hyde Park for the triathlon, two and a half miles from Green park where the volleyball will be, a mile from Earl's Court and a 50 minutes underground ride to Heathrow Airport. We are very near the High St Kensington, Holland Park, The Royal Albert Hall (to enjoy the Proms! These are world class concerts at £10 per person. We'll hint you on how to get in without queuing for hours). All the museums in South Kensington are just a few minutes on the tube or bus. Holland Park's around the corner with open air opera during the summer. You can walk to Notting Hill, Portobello Market through one of the most beautiful residential areas in London. Piccadilly and Soho is just a bus ride too. The flat is just in an excellent location and is very comfortable indeed. It will suit a whole family of 6 or three couples. Description:This is a lovely one-bedroom flat on a quiet cul-de-sac off of Fulham Road and just south of Brompton Cemetery (there are not many places in central London where you will have as green a view from the bedroom window as you do here!) It's an 8 minute walk from Fulham Broadway station on the District Line or alternatively 15 minutes from Earl's Court where you can catch a lot more trains. There are also buses right on Fulham Road which will take you into town. Fulham Road has lots of restaurants and cafes and there's a 24 hour Tesco just across the street where you can get all your basic foods. A 20 minute walk away will get you to the museums of South Kensington. The flat is great for one person or a couple. It comes with a kitchen (hob and oven, should you be inclined to bake), microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, washing machine, all utensils and crockery, hairdryer, iron, linen, towels, unlimited internet. The bathroom has a great shower. There is also a balcony. Description:For a studio flat with such a central location in London, this is really spacious. More like a one bedroom flat in layout really. The flat contains a modern bathroom (with bath and shower), a recently upgraded kitchen (containing brand new, top-spec appliances including a dishwasher and a washer-dryer), a reception area and a bright living space with a very comfy king-size wall-bed, a two-seater sofa, wi-fi, Sky TV, blu-ray/DVD player, hi-fi, surround sound speakers and a massive Plasma TV. The apartment block itself is immaculately maintained with the extra security of Bob the porter at the front desk during the day. It has the added bonus of beautiful, sunny communal gardens to relax in or fire up the BBQ. In terms of location, it couldn't be handier for visitors to London. Earls Court tube station is 3 minutes walk round the corner and is on the Piccadilly line, providing direct access to Heathrow Airport (about 45 mins) and London's West End (about 15 mins). The number 430 bus outside will also take you to South Kensington in about 5 mins to check out the major museums. It's also a 5 minute walk to West Brompton which is a mainline train station for trips to the seaside or by train to Gatwick Airport (there's also a bus from Gatwick Airport direct to Earls Court). To get out of London in a car, it's super quick with easy access to the M3 and M4 motorways, with numerous car hire firms in the vicinity. TO GIVE YOU MORE OLYMPIC DETAILS & JOURNEY TIMES TO THE MAIN LONDON VENUES: The official Olympic Stadium is in East London and our home is in West London however the journey times to the Olympic Park in Stratford are quoted by Transport for London on their website as being 31 minutes and there are direct trains from our nearby Shepherds Bush tube station every 3-4 minutes. Our home is located five minutes walk from the tube station at Shepherds Bush Market and 10 minutes walk (less by bus) from Shepherds Bush Central Line and Shepherds Bush Overgound (this also has a direct overground rail route to the Olympic Park) The Olympics are not restricted to Stratfrd however, near to our house in Central West London there are many other Olympic event venues these include Earls Court (archery) which from Shepherds Bush Market tube is just 15 minutes. The Mall and Horse-guards Parade are the Central London locations for the beach volleyball, cycling road race, race walk and the marathon and can both be reached in 15 minutes from Shepherds Bush tube via Westminster tube station. Wembley Stadium and Arena is the base for football, badminton and rhythmic gymnastics and these venues are 29 minutes via tube from Shepherds Bush via Bakers Street tube station. Lords Cricket ground is also nearby and can be reached via bus direct from Shepherds Bush or you can take the tube to the nearest tube station to Lords at Edgware Road. This tube journey is 15 minutes with an additional 10 minute walk to the venue from Edgware Road station. To get to nearby Hyde Park where the triathalon and marathon swimming events will take place as well as large TV screens and concert events from here takes 7 minutes via tube to Lancaster Gate or via direct bus in under 20 minutes. Wimbledon is the home for the tennis and is 35 minutes via tube from Shepherds Bush. Eton located on the river Thames near Windsor to the west of London will be home to rowing and canoeing and can be accessed from Shepherds Bush via overground train from Paddington in under 20 minutes excluding the 12 minutes it takes to get from Shepherds Bush via tube to Paddington overground station. MORE ABOUT SHEPHERDS BUSH Shepherds Bush is a vibrant multi-cultural location with convenience stores and restaurants just around the corner. Shepherds Bush Green is a short walk and is a bustling metropolitan centre with theatre, market, cinemas, gyms, clubs, and comprehensive shopping. Notting Hill Village is also a short bus ride or walk away and offers its famous antique market,cafes, boutiques, restaurants and bars. The West End is 10 minutes by tube. There is a separate fitted kitchen with all conveniences (fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher etc) and appliances (toaster, kettle etc) as well as full range of utensils and living room. There is a flat screen TV in the sitting room with freeview and a good range of DVDs. Both bedrooms have full double beds, drawers and large wardrobes. The flat is a few minutes walk from Earls Court station, with tube connections on the District and Picadily lines. The volleyball is being held in the Earls Court station and there are good connections to the central London Olympic venues as well as the main Olympic village. I have been offering the spare bedroom on airbnb since last summer - please see below for reviews. I am now seeking to rent out the entire apartment during the 2012 Olympics. I won't be in the country, so can only rent out the place once as I can't get back to clean and change linen. The flat is on the third floor with windows facing south and east, so very bright and sunny all day.
